Today was a little slow.
But poor Holly... even though she was a bit of a bitch again 😂
But at the same time, I thought her scenes with Tate and Sarah were the best part of today. There are a lot more story opportunities for Holly, and everyone around her, by having her continue to be like that. And I do think Ashley Puzemis does a really good job with it too. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next for Holly, and for her relationship with Tate. And especially what's going to happen now that she's running away.
I didn't really care all that much about Gabi and her knock-off designer bags though. I would much rather her and Rafe's scenes had been more her finally receiving her Stefan's inheritance and what she plans to do with it.
Leo was just FF material, as always.
Btw, is it just me or are they having trouble figuring out how to use Marlena effectively? I like seeing her in therapist mode, but Idk, I just sometimes feel like there's something missing with her character. She should be the primary character in her own storyline, not secondary in somebody else's.
And she should definitely have a part in Chad and Belle's mystery, especially now that the two of them are going off to Italy to investigate.

BTG: July 2026 Discussion Thread

I have to laugh at people claiming Tomas’ culture is inherently macho and sexist. LMAO. Have you guys seen the man the majority of you elected President... twice? 😂
And I have no doubt that’s exactly the message the writers are trying to send here. We don’t see any other male character earning less than his female partner except Tomas. Thankfully, we have positive Latino representation with Jordi’s character... oh wait.
I swear, like others have said, this is the umpteenth scene between Hayley and Leslie. It’s the same script over and over again, and the writers have no idea what a Hayley/Leslie dynamic is supposed to look like. They practically admitted as much in the dialogue. And honestly, that applies to the rest of the show as well.
Take Lynette. The only reason she disappeared is because the writers had no idea what to do with her. It’s pretty obvious.
There’s a level of repetition and kumbaya on this show that I’ve honestly never seen anywhere else.
Finally, Joey. Nothing gives me more pleasure than fast-forwarding through his scenes. The only exception is when he’s paired with someone interesting, like Deanna. Of course, Joey is already one step ahead of her, realizing she’s trying to kill him with kindness. 🙄 But mark my words: Joey did not kill Doug. He’s hiding him somewhere. And we’re going to be stuck with Joey for as long as MVJ and her co-head writer are running the show.
P.S. I noticed they’ve turned up the background score. It’s still pretty vanilla and generic, and I’m not sure why the composer was nominated for an Emmy... but at least it’s an improvement.
