* A writer of Douglas Marland's caliber to take over ATWT. (Extreme wishful thinking!)

*If one is found,give that person complete creative control for the first six months.If the ratings are up and the show is creating "buzz' in the press,leave him/her alone.Interfere ONLY if the show takes a nosedive in the ratings.

*Clean house in the writing staff.Do not allow Passanante,Laiman and Whitesell to stay with the new writer.Closely monitor the other writers and fire them quickly if they don't meet up to standards.

* The vets to have major stories.

*Donald Hughes and Penny Hughes Cunningham to come back for the above story.Possibly Grant Colman and Joyce Colman. Whatever happened to James Douglas and Barbara Rodell?

*Betsy Andropoulous to come back followed by Steve. Ellen Stewart to come back.

*Seth,Caleb,Ellie and Iva Snyder to come back,or a combination of those characters.

* Kirk Anderson and Samatha to come back with an explanation of why they dissapeared.

* Business intrigue featuring Lucinda at Worldwide.

*Tie Henry with Lucinda.Make him no ones lapdog.

* Bring back John Dixon.

*Write off Craig if Hunt Block can't be wooed back.

*Write off Katie.

*Reunite Jack and Carly and make them happy and settle them on the backburner at least until the summer.

* Don't age anymore characters.

*If they are going to keep Luke give him a love interest. Tie him to a story with Gwen and Will,Maddie and Casey and Ellwood. No more isolating him or have himfussing over Holden and Lily and his siblings.

ATWT

- Paul's visions lead to the discovery that his and Emily's daughter Jennifer is alive, and as his luck would have it, Big Daddy James has her.

- Carly and Jack get a HUGE reunion.

- Luke gets a love interest.

- More Jessica (I loved seeing her today!)

- Tom and Margo get a big storyline out of the Casey gambling stuff.

Oh and I forgot one thing:

An official embargo on any show for at least one year having a psycho running around town. It is in overkill. I loved them at first and some are my faves, but then it went to where every show got one. I just feel they need a rest for awhile. Unfortunately Y&R already has one in the plans.

Guiding Light:

1= A new headwriter & Executive Producer

2= The Return of The Bauer Family as the core Family

3= A bigger budget, new sets, No more Beacon Hotel Rooms in every scene!!!

4= A fantastic 70th Anniversary with plenty of old clips!!!

5= Blake, Vanessa, Holly & Phillp all return for good with Front burner stories.

6= Jeffrey O'Neil & Bradley Cole leave Springfield/G.L. forever

I'm not holding my breath for any of this to actually happen..........

What I wish would happen:

ABC DAYTIME

- Palace revolution. Period. Starting with Frons, McTavish, Higley and Phelps, all should be shown the door.

B&B

- At the very least, relieve Brad Bell of HW duties. At the most, out altogether.

- Find a REAL HW who can write real stories, and not the same repetitive, uncreative crap we see every week. Try and entice Claire Labine back to Daytime, because if anyone is capable of making B&B the best half hour of Daytime drama, it's her.

ATWT

- Remove Goutman as EP, and try and entice Robert Calhoun or Lawrence Caso back.

- Remove Passanante as HW, and also show writers such as Laiman the door.

- Promote Richard Culliton to HW, and bring Carolyn Culliton, Juliet Packer and Richard Backus to assist him.

What I wish would happen:

B&B

I understand that. But I made those suggestions because:

- Labine knew how to write a 30-minute show so well (Ryan's Hope), there's no reason why she couldn't do so with B&B. Especially when B&B has such a capable cast topped off by Susan Flannery- imagine what sort of storylines Labine could write for Stephanie et al.

- Both Cullitons would be viewed favourably by ATWT fans. Carolyn for one was a main factor in Sheffer's first year working well, and when Richard wrote the show he did write one of the best post-Marland storylines (John/Lisa). Both have history with the show, and would be more inclined to use the vets than recent HWs have.

All of these would greatly improve ATWT right now. If just 1 of your wishes would come true ATWT would improve a lot.

Any day with Robert and or Luke is a good day. Show us more of them and less of Sam

More stories about love and romance, passion and friendship. Less about mobs and territories and guns.

I like Tishy ideas for GH so I'll co-sign. And I'll add that Nancy Lee Grahn finally picks up her Best Lead Actress for GH.

Y&R

-Somebody needs to tweak LML back down to earth

-LML has to watch her entire tale of the relizzzzz story and actually admit that it's not pure sh.t

-Eric Braeden is NOT allowed to participate in any fighting/workout scenes

-Drucilla gets a story to call her own, which isn't gimmicky or dumb

-Peter Bergman and Victoria Rowell take there well deserved emmy

-Gloria is exposed and then written off...that's the only way to redeem the character

-The returns of Mamie, Olivia, Mary, Kate, Dina, Billy (David Tom) , Victor Jr, Lil Nate, Nina, and Diane (the bold ones especially)

-No more quuuuuuuuick scenes, and better build ups with satisfying confrontations

-Nikki gets her own story, which doesn't involve weeping

-Some turmoil for Phick

-Jill and Katherine to be frontburner all year long (they deserve it)

-Sheila dies, and Lauren sticks a stake into her heart to make it permanent

-Fenmore enters the business world

-Ji Min gets a family....while the Kaplans are forced out

-More passion, laughter, and family moments....LESS PSA's

-Just pure solid, good quality writing

And Lastly for ALL SOAPS....KEEP THE VETS AND LET THEM SHINE.

You know, and I'll probably get grilled for this, but I'm starting to fear that Y&R could be heading down the same path post-Bell that ATWT did post-Marland. Latham might well be Y&R's equivalent of, well...

^Oh believe me Y&R will NEVER be like the Bill Bell glory days. It started with Alden going smoothly and then going south with her stories (sperm theft, I believe she changed Anita and Fred's name too). Next was Jack Smith who rejuventaed the show, but was way too much hype, and eventually it got him fired. And now its LML and she's pretty hit or miss, there really isn't an in-between with her. She'll probably be gone soon though, and in the end Brad Bell will take over Y&R. Maybe not after Latham, but eventually.
