Yeah these are biggest issues right now. Maybe making the show actually watchable again is completely out of their control due to these problems you just listed. It would be really nice if this could all be addressed under this new regime but I’m gonna try to keep my expectations pretty realistic..

I think the rumor is it is either Jax or Jerry Jax. I don't know why Steve Burton would have extensive character knowledge on either one though. I could sort of see the new guy (Hudson?) being Jerry's long lost son and that's why he's so interested in JJE and Ethan's afraid of him. I'll pass on that idea lol. I don't know if I can handle a Port Charles with Jerry Jax and Sidwell.

Tom Rosqui, 62, actor who played the Corleone family bodyguard Rocco Lampone in the first two “Godfather” films, died April 11 in Los Angeles of cancer.

Rosqui’s mostly silent “Godfather” role climaxed in the second film when his character assassinated mob lord Hyman Roth (Lee Strasberg) and then was slain.

The Oakland native had many other film, tv and legit roles. His films also include “The Crazy Quilt,” “The Thomas Crown Affair,” “MacArthur” and “Airport ’77.”

He appeared in such telepics as “Raid On Entebbe” and “The Migrants,” the miniseries “The Law” and “Fitzgerald In Hollywood,” and in such series as “Lou Grant,” “Little House On The Prairie,” “The Rockford Files,” “The Streets Of San Francisco” and “The Blue Knight.”

He had been a regular on the “All My Children” soap and also appeared in “General Hospital.”

Rosqui’s last stage role was in “The Crucible” last September at the L.A. Theater Center. He acted on Broadway in the Tony Award winner “Sticks And Bones,” “The Price,” “Unlikely Heroes” and “The Lincoln Mask,” and Off Broadway in “Whiskey,” “What The Butler Saw” and “Collision Course.”
At Lincoln Center, he was in “Danton’s Death,” “Yerma” and “The Condemned Of Altona,” “The East Wind” and “The Alchemist.”
He also spent seven years in residence with the Actor’s Workshop of San Francisco, in such plays as “The Iceman Cometh” and “Zoo Story,” and in L.A. he was in the Mark Taper Forum productions of “The Shadow Box” and “Too Much Johnson.”
Rosqui also appeared extensively in regional theater and stock.
Survived by a son, a stepson and a stepdaughter.

Welcome to Salem, Mason Whitfield! Hopefully, the writing for you is better than it is for Gus and Liam.
I admit, I do have mixed feelings about this though. I remember thinking that Brandon Butler did a good job as Zach last year, and it's always good to have a character on the canvas that's not related to half of it lol but at the same time, do we really need another new character when there's already enough characters on the canvas that are driving story, and when there are plenty of off screen characters (Andrew, Dimitri, Theresa, Noah, etc.) that should be in Salem, driving story? Idk. I am curious to see what his deal is though, especially since he seems to know of Holly, or at least the Jonases, and clearly doesn't like her. And since Holly was randomly nearly mugged at the end of today lol I wonder if that's going to be tied to Mason somehow.
And yeah, he's cute too 😊😂😂
Btw, was the mugger the same guy that played that douchy reporter that made Sasha go nuts on GH?
Speaking of Holly, I enjoyed her reunion with Maggie. Holly, letting Maggie know about the conversation that Ari overheard could lead to something interesting happening for the two of them. But I do think that we should have actually seen Ari tell Holly about what she heard though. I mean, Ari only overheard EJ and Johnny on Thursday, and already like half of Salem knows lol and I figured that Julie would invite Maggie to come and live with her, but honestly, is there enough room at the Horton house? 😂😂
While I'm glad that it looks like Chanel's cancer isn't as serious as everyone feared, I also can't help but think that if this was all this storyline was going to be, then what was the point of it all? Johnny and Chanel were already in the middle of a great storyline, that could've played out for years, before any of this stuff happened. To have everything with Chanel's pregnancy and cancer be all wrapped up like it was nothing feels like a letdown. I would much, much rather have seen the two of them continue to have conflict over EJ, Sami's rape, etc. And it would be a lot better than Johnny just being EJ's lapdog. I wasn't even that interested in Marlena confronting Johnny about Holly and the Coriseal mess. Mostly because it's just a better story idea for Johnny to be at odds with EJ instead of on his side.
But I did like Abe's scenes with Chanel and Johnny today, and that he got to meet Baby Olivia. Julie, inviting Abe to join the Bereavement Book Club was really nice as well.
