Yeah she’s very nasally sounding. I feel like it’s a hit or miss with her these days because there’s some episodes it seems like she’s coming back to acting like the Sharon we loved and then other times she seems off again and even struggles to show any real emotion in a scene. I watched some older episodes recently where she was always SO present in her scenes. I think it’s also possible that sometimes actors just lose their passion for acting especially on this show..

This Matt Clark crap is ruining the show for me. Everytime the story with him reaches a “climax” is when I literally get the most bored. Nothing ever comes of it. What’s the point? A building burned down with the Newmans inside apparently but all we saw was one single shot of it and everyone was fine. Sienna “killing” Matt was fine as a twist but he shows up alive anyways so again… WHATS THE POINT?

Daniel is so annoying. As if Victor hasn’t done many underhanded things in his life. Please. This fake outrage towards Phyllis does feel kind of sexist to me given that we don’t see this kind of energy directed towards the men, especially Victor. Damnit how dare they make me wanna root for Phyllis!

Can’t believe I’m saying this but Patty Williams is really one of the very few bright spots on this show right now. More please!

So does this translate to another Sharon kidnapping scenario 😂 why is kidnapping or some kind of capturing scenario the only thing JG can come up with… Adam and Nick were just locked in a storage closet, now it’s safe to assume Sharon and Noah will be trapped somewhere again too. Ugh. Nothing new to see here…

Uh-oh Sharon.. you in trouble girl. Matt’s gonna get you! Interesting to see people commenting on SC’s acting this week because I was literally thinking the opposite. I thought “oh wow Sharon is actually seeming normal again and not acting all spacey”. Lily and Holden seem to have a lot of sexual chemistry and I don’t know how to feel about them being siblings now.. lol Is Sally the only young woman who gets pregnant in this show these days? I genuinely don’t care about her.. I am not gonna lie I’m slightly curious to see what a Victor and Diane pairing would look like today. I know they were together years ago but I didn’t watch back then.

I swear I’ve seen the spoiler about Nick “going down a dangerous path” like 3 times this year already.

Cane and Traci was friggin weird and also NOT realistic. I felt genuinely repulsed by them too, but for Daniel Goddard to have an issue with it is highly unprofessional. Shut up and do your job. You are the actor, not the writer.

Stephanie revealing to Malcolm that Holden is his son was underwhelming af. Just a casual conversation at CL? Ok. I will say I’m liking they are diversifying the different stories again and not just having a clusterf*ck of characters sharing scenes all seemingly revolving around the same storyline or somehow being an extension of one storyline. I wanna see different story’s being told and the fact that we focused on the Winters more this week was a nice change. I just wish we could fit more stories into one episode instead of just focusing on one storyline at a time each week.. but I’ll take it

I mean.. you’re not wrong but I’m loving it

I loved the scenes today of Noah, Nikki and Sharon at the coffee house. I want more scenes of Noah with his grandparents and getting him more involved with the family company perhaps. My concern is they have him on an island with Sienna. This relationship feels like a dead end.. it’s not gonna lead to anything interesting outside of this dumb Matt Clark drama. Why not have him get mixed up more with Audra and Kyle? Now that would be interesting. The actor is doing a fine job though, no complaints from me in that department.

I loved the look and feel of the soaps around the late 90s/early 2000s and I also feel like fashion/aesthetics in general took a big turn around the early 2000s and it’s fun to watch these earlier episodes and see the progression of that. If you compare the hairstyles, fashion and look of the sets from 1999 to 2008 it’s such a stark contrast so it’s kinda cool to see how old everything looked in 1999. The only female character who ever seemed to have any fashion sense among the younger crowd is Theresa though. Everyone looks so drab except Theresa and possibly Simone. I thought the first Simone had some cool/interesting fashion around this time too.

So.. I’m not sure what Kristen is up to these days over at DOOL but I would be very much in favour of keeping Patty around on Y&R and making her a more permanent fixture on the show. She’s the only female character who is keeping me entertained right now. Those scenes with Diane were great also. Did anyone catch Diane constantly checking out Pattys boobs? She couldn’t focus on her face at all in those scenes LOL
