"The best Taylor was a dead Taylor. Why did they have to torture me all over again and bring her back?

There was no reason to kill Darla at all. "

That's why I stopped watching this show, there was no reason at all to bring Taylor back. Can't stand Taylor or Hunter Tylo's acting ability. Bell has ruined just about every character, and I'm not interested in watching Taylor try to be a shrink when she should be in jail.

QUOTE(Chris B @ Dec 29 2006, 02:34 PM)
I HATE HATE HATE them together! I was so shocked to see TV Guide listed Darla's death as the best storyline of 2006 and had the nerve to compare it to ALFRED HITCHCOCK! And to make matters worse, B&B was their Best Show. What the hell ever!

As much as I hate that killed Darla, that story was indeed very good.

It had a beginning (the accident), twist and turns (Hector's house burns down and he ends up blind; Shane shows up and has only blckmail on his mind), a shocking development (Thorne proposes to Taylor who then breaks the news of the accident) and a closing chapter (the trial).

I still think that B&B had it's worst year ever with Jan-Feb & Oct-Dec being superb though. But I'm not sure which other show was good or at least better? Definitely not Y&R (or GH). Ever since I've been watching DAYS (August-...) it had little flaws, yet untill recently missed those glued-to-the-TV moments and it must have been dreadful the first half of the year with JER still on board.

Fabulous! I was at the edge of my seat...until the painfully dull funeral where no one could spare a tear.

twist and turns (Hector's house burns down and he ends up blind; Shane shows up and has only blckmail on his mind),

Cheesy and it cheapened Darla's death for me. Especially the camptastic (in a bad way) Hector addition. Kidnapping Taylor? GMAFB!

a shocking development (Thorne proposes to Taylor who then breaks the news of the accident)
Vomit inducing!

closing chapter (the trial).

Now I'm ready to jump off a cliff. There is no way in hell Taylor should've killed Darla if she wasn't going to pay. Especially after lying about it and comforting Thorne after the accident. If Taylor were a villian I might be able to support this, but seeing Taylor as a loving member of a family just a few months later is ridiculous. Like everything on the extremely plot driven show, nothing matters after the story is finished. Like Stephanie owning Forrester last year and Ann will be forgotten once the stunt is over.

I think the best year is a toss up because most of the soaps were hit or miss. ATWT was excellent until August, Y&R has had some high points, but some lows as well, GH is better, but their ideas are poorly executed and I'm still questioning just how good DAYS is. Then again, I'm not a Hogan fan.

I love Thorne and Taylor, but I agree that they rushed them getting together. And they decided to amp up the camp in the fallout of Taylor accidentally killing Darla, which you either really hated or enjoyed it for what it was.

As much as I hated to see Darla get killed off, I have to admit that her murder made B&B a lot more exciting. Of course, the whole s/l was so over-the-top, which can only work on a soap like B&B. But since then, the show has been really interesting. Instead of being the Forrester's lap-dog, Taylor is the show's b!tch, and of course, Thorne finally has a storyline.

I've been loving the b!tchy Taylor. It's so nice to see her tell Stephanie off like she did a couple of times. :P

best scene was when she went off on all the Forresters and tehn accused Stephanie of wanting Ridge for herself and got slapped in the process. Taylor was on fire

Ohh yeah, that was one of the best scenes of the whole year.

I love that Thorne has a storyline and all, but this is stupid. Thorne and Taylor are so in love now. I don't see why Brad Bell feels the need to rush his stories, instead of slowly develop them. And I still say killing Darla was a mistake. Thorne could have easily had a storyline with Darla, and Taylor could have still been a b.tch.
