The story lost it's power in today's show as far as I was concerned. EJ and John lost momentum and meaning by the chit chat. If EJ were intent on killing John, he'd just do it instead of fooling around and letting John start to feel like he could get out of it and try to attack him. Just dumb. He should have blown his head off and got out of there if he is the real evil Elvis we were lead to believe he is.

Patrick is showing his conflicts and the side of him that could have been good and the part of him that was weak and lead him to this place in life. I felt so sad for him knowing his sorry mother encouraged him in his weakness. Bonnie should die, well suffer severely for the misery she has wrought on her kids.

Was this the last day for Tek??? I know he and Lexie were supposed to leave at the same time, but Lexie will have a few more days on the screen, yet. I wonder why Abe is supposed to be blind again. Hogan didn't have to write the corneal transplant rejection.

Ali was excellent in her part of Sami today. I could feel her heartache, fear and terror for Lucas and then with EJ.

I hope tomorrow is better. It's lost it's punch for me with the debacle of EJ and John.

I LOVE Ej. He is exactly the type of villian a soap needs. I also think he has plenty of potential to be part of a major supercouple. I have returned to days after years of not watching so i don't know if they have shared any scenes together, but if I were Sheffer, I would somehow bring Ej and Abby into each other's circles. I know it's May/December and she's like 17 etc... but I think the girl who plays abby is so beautiful and really needs to get away from that little boy max crush. I can see a total luke/laura steve/kayla bo/hope thing with a pairing of Abby and Ej. Of course not to happen that fast but to slowly do it? I can see it.

The acting was amazing from all but Brody impressed me today. He stepped it up, kudos to him.

Also, I know the Chelsea/Nick stuff was on yesterday's episode, but I have to say... SO adorable. Seriously. Nick is such a cute character, and I'm really coming to like Chelsea (amazing, no?). This whole part of their story is just adorable and I'm loving them.

I'm only 7 minutes into the show and I cannot believe that this is the same show I was watching last year I can't say that enough!

And Rion, I can't believe you want Susan over Kristen??? Susan was a complete joke. Eileen Davidson deserves to play a sexy vixen, not some bucked-tooth beaver. I won't mind Davidson playing Susan for a little bit, but just as long as Kristen is endgame. This is only the beginning people! We're in for a long ride

Oh man its so nice to rave about a soap for a change!

I usually channel surf between DAYS and AMC when I am off but today DAYS was amazing and I barely watched any of the lukewarm Babe-fest on AMC. I thought the whole show was great. Even Hope who normally I can't tolerate was compelling. I could'nt wait for the commericals to be over and I was on the edge of my seat even though I had read the spoilers.

I loved loved John and EJ's talk even if it was a little long. It gave us some insight into what EJ's mind frame is with his apparent father worship and how that compares to John's experience. I think James Scott is great as EJ. I always thought he was handsome when he played Ethan but today was the first time I thought he was hot. Must have been the leather jacket Poor Sami I know what's coming and I wish it was'nt.

I thought I was the only one who thought that. Way back when they had contact during his race car driving days I remember thinking what an interesting couple they could be. Abby is young but I think pairing her with Max makes her look younger. I do think she needs to grow and mature more before that could happen logically though. I think they would make a physically stunning couple but I think that is an idea for down the road. Right now EJ's focus is soley on Sami but in time that may change. I kind of feel about him the way I felt about Lawerance Alamain. I loved watching Lawerance but he also repulsed me especially after raping Jennifer. It was only through his relationship with Carly that I actually began to kind of like him. I think a woman down the road could do the same thing for EJ. I think in his case though he does need someone who is more of an 'innocent' so he can really take good hard look at himself. I just feel like Sami is more for Lucas longterm and she can't really love him the way he would need for a change to occur. Mind you I also love him evil. Just evil is usually a death sentence for a character and I want him around for awhile.

I just have to say great show to Hogan and the other writers. If the ratings for an episode like this one are still lukewarm next week then the show really is in deep trouble.

Oh and any guesses on who the unknown assassin is? I kind of loved how EJ told John but we never heard. And now that John is down for the count for awhile we won't know till he/she is revealed.

I am going out on a limb and saying Max. He just seems so harmless, with nothing really to do and I think the actor could play bad well. Maybe brainwashing while he was away? But I really have no idea.

I am actually liking Patrick today, but I think most of it's because this is the end of the character and he's gonna be gone by next week.

I liked EJ talking to John at first.. and I'm only half way into the show, but I agree that he should just shoot him already!

Amazing episode! Thought the long conversation between EJ and John was a little off, but it was obviously used to give us some insight into EJ and his relationship with his family and also to leave us wondering about that other operative in Salem. My guess--Roman. It is obviously someone close to John and totally unexpected as he was shocked and even had tears in his eyes. And I don't know what's wrong with me but the more evil EJ gets, the more I love him. And he's so hot!

So now we know Brody Hutzler can act. If only they had given him some decent material two years ago. Even knowing how this plays out, I was on the edge of my seat today and impatiently waiting out the commercial breaks. Poor Hope has had a very stressful pregnancy!

What is Lexie thinking? All I have to say about her as I have thought for some time that she and Abe are boring and a waste of screen time.

damn so they have had scenes together?I missed it! I totally agree with you. Ej will need an "innocent" in order to "redeem" him a little bit. It can't work with sami....they don't mesh, same with chelsea... they are too much of the same. Ej is so bad ass that he needs an "angelic" sort of character to really take a harsh look at himself like you said. It's those types of romances that ALWAYS breed supercouple status.

I agree Abby needs to be developed more maturely and i feel like she totally has the potential and acting ability if given the opportunity. Is she still in HS or starting college? I can totally see Ej and her interacting with that whole love/hate thing, him calling her "kid" or "brat" or something not as endearing at first, but ends up being endearing.

It probably won't happen but Hogan Sheffer isn't one to shy away from a hot pairing based on age and controversy. When he paired original receipe Lucy and Dusty on ATWT that was shocking but so well done!
