DAYS: Thursday

I loved the conversation between John and EJ. It's classic soap opera. The villain always taunts the hero before striking. James Scott is sooooo the next Joseph Mascolo. I really hope we get to see these two in scenes together :D

EJ and Abby, what??? Sure, I liked the idea of Beth toying with a possible crush on Abby's part. It's very hard for me to believe that EJ would fall for EJ. Would he use her? Hell yes! It would be very sick and twisted, but we need that sometimes.

I'm starting to vastly prefer DAYS over Y&R and I've been a lifetime Y&R watcher. Great show today. I freakin love EJ.

Awesome show! Even knowing some of the spoilers, I was still on the edge of my seat. I kept thinking that if this was the old days, and I wasn't aware of what was going to happen; i would have been peeing my pants. Awesome how Hogan is incorporating so many characters into this story. I wish Lexie wasn't leaving so we could see her battle EJ.

I can't wait for tomorrow's show. I have no idea who the unknown assasin is supposed to be. I'm tempted to go spoiler free so maybe it will be a total shock.

Susan needs to come to Salem and try to knock some sense into her son  It would be fun to see how that plays out

LOL, EJ and Abby, rolling on the floor. What a match....sort of reminds you of Tony and Anna, doesn't it. Beauty and the inner beast. I could see it if and when Abby gets experience and maturity and lordy what a load she will have to tame. Gorgeous couple.

Psycho Patrick is amazing! I think we finally see Brody's ability. It's a shame that after 2 years, Brody can show his talent and he's gone next week  Oh well..

Psycho Patty is heaps better than normal Patty, but let's not go as far as to say this is talent.

Finally have computer access again! I have been wanting to rave about DAYS so bad!

Today's show was awesome as it built loads of momentum throughout the eppy with an exciting ending. Even the previews were awesome. Now that I am back home from break I got 5 of my guy friends hooked on DAYS again. None of them have watched since Marlena was revealed as the SSK and are once again hooked. I think its hilarious watching a group of masculine guys watching a soap and asking ?'s throughout so who is that again or I thought she was with him. I personally haven't enjoyed DAYS this much in years and I have to give props to Hoagie and whoever else is responsible for turning my soap back into what a soap should be.

Brody actually stepped up and acting his ass off, possibly the first time ever I am been blown away by one of his performances. The acting was solid from everyone, especially James Scott for his evil portrayal of EJ. EJ has fast become a force to be reckoned with in Salem and look forward to him torturing the people of Salem. I just don't see how EJ can stay around long term if he continues being so evil.

There were so many great moments in this episode, but my favorite was EJ picking up Sami on the side of the road as he covered his face as Sami closed the car door. Sami/EJ scenes were so good as I seat on the edge of my seat and wonder what EJ is goign to do to Sami for crossing him.

I can't wait to watch tomorrow's show, DAYS is just on fire.

Um, okay, so John is lying there after he was shot, and Lexie and Tek are just sitting there arguing over Tek leaving so Lexie's marriage doesn't end, instead of checking on John?

I don't really want that Abe is blind story to be re-visited, but it is reality like to do that. And I know Hogan will write all this well.

I am so happy that Chelsea did the right thing for once when it came to Bo and Billie! I was afraid she was gonna become like Sami was and where she would want her parents to be together for years, but it seems that that has not happened! Glad she has accepted it and moved on, and that she did the right thing by calling Bo.

Nick looks better with a hair cut. I like this Lonely Splicer stuff.

EJ and Sami scenes were excellent, but it's sad on what is too come for Sami. :(

Tony and Anna!!!!!!wow that brings back memories. That is exactly how I see the potential of Ej and Abby....absolutely. Great comparison. I could actually see him using her at first and her hating his guts but slowly, if written right, it could be absolute compelling romantic drama!

AWESOME SHOW!!!

This was the most action packed, well acted Days episode on a long time. The show really is on fire.

The John/EJ scenes were flawless. I know many thought it took away from the action but the villian always teases the hero. It's a classic trait and it was classic Dimera, telling the hero your plan and before you kill him. James Scott is perfect for this role and the scene where he shot John was pretty good.

Ali did a good job being hysterical and that scene where she was begging Lucas to hang on was quite emotional. Loved that scene when the car pulled over and she learned EJ was in the car. Good scenes there.

Lexie, Tek, and Abe felt a bit out of place until the end. I think the Abe cornea story was meant to be a part of a big Abe/Lexie story. I am puzzled as to why Hogan kept it. No doubt he will write it well. I am very curious about that. Lexie sure did get herself in deep though making Tek run away just so Abe didn't learn she was with him. I like how Tek found John. Afterall, he did partner with John when he first showed up in 2003.

Brody really impressed me today. Yet another actor who steps it up right before he leaves. Loved the inner conflict within him due to his fear of the Dimera's. I also like how Hope is being smart and trying to help herself by leaving the phone on, trying to knock out Patrick, etc.

As for Susan, other then flashbacks I don't want her back. I loved her before but she won't fit now. It wouldn't make sense given what EJ is. Bring Kristen and leave her other 4 characters in the past.

What a great episode that was filled with suspense and so much action and drama. Tomarrow should really be a great end to 2006. Days is going into 2007 on fire.

December has been the best month on Days in years, and I mean that.

After seeing these performances from Kyle Brandt, Farah Fath, Brody Hutzler, etc. I'v come the decision that it's not the actor's fault, but the writing. I know the old saying, "Any actor should be able to make anything come off good." But Philip, Mimi and Patrick have been written into so many corners that the actor had nothing to work with. They came off stale. Then, when given the correct material, they were magnicifcent. I feel that the actors weren't given the chance to show what they got and once they got that chance, they proved fans wrong. They don't suck. It was he writing.

I disagree. Little scenes, like asking someone pass the orange juice or hand them the newspaper -- those things don't really need alot of character motivation and story to make them seem realistic.

I'm not sure why the actors tend to step it up in their last few weeks on the show. Writing for them does tend to get better, but the fact is, they simply weren't on their A-game before. Maybe they aren't bad actors, as you said. But they certainly haven't chosen to be good actors.

Look how long others have been on the show. For decades. And some of those people are A-game every single day, whether the story is great or terrible. I can recognize good acting in a bad story, and respect it despite the material. When they simply don't put forth the effort, there's no excuse... like, for example, Mimi crying. If she can't bring tears to her eyes, or just scrunches her nose and sniffles... good writing or bad, she should be able to do that. And she can't.
