Thoughts:
Shanice, it is okay to be taken aback by Ted's admission. It is a major thing to admit, especially after what happened last time. But he does seem very earnest and honest in his feelings.
Dani, girl, you know that what happened on that elevator was overdue. The hatred and the passion between you and Bill are still as electric as the day when you were last married.
Doe-eyed, half-pint? I swear, Dani's quips towards Hayley continue to be such a highlight. And now Bill wants to turn Dani into the mistress. I do believe he likes the idea of having a mistress and not a wife. He gets off on it.
I would not mind me a man like Grayson if he showed up at my door with fries and food. Sign me up!
I like that Ted is making it known to Shanice that it is okay if she is not at the same spot where he is. He is making a safe space for her, and it is clear that she might just be fighting those feelings.
I am so glad that things are going well for Grayson at Uptown. His little one-night-only event worked out well for him, and the work fit looks good on him, too.
Dani said those cursed words: "There will never be another." Well, it is bound to happen again.
Hopefully Grayson might be able to talk some sense into Tomas. I feel like they could connect on a different level.
Aw, daddy-daughter milkshakes at Orphey Gene's? Sign me up! Make mine extra thick, with no whipped cream and no cherry, and I am there.
Katherine, Tomas explained why he felt the way he felt. You just did not listen to him. You only heard selectively what you wanted to hear.
Damn... Shanice looks like she just saw a ghost and was told she had seven days to live. Sometimes you can let go of the control!
Oh damn... not Grayson insinuating, without knowing, that perhaps Katherine is not the one for him. Those anvils are dropping.
I can appreciate that Dani is trying to stand her ground even though in her heart of hearts she knows that she wants Bill back.
Saved by the knock! I am so glad that Dani has Nicole to lean on with the news about Naomi's BRCA2 test results.
Ted, I get that you are checking in... but given how Shanice left from your hotel room, I would not be checking in this early, but that is just me and my stance.
I get why Dani thinks Naomi is (re)acting out of fear from her test results but based on what I have seen, I think she is more so weighing her options and making the ones that are best for her. I hope she talks and listens to Naomi when she gets the chance to.
Aw, good on Shanice for admitting how she does feel about Ted. And he is right there to give a good light-hearted moment and chuckle back. I like that he is turning into her safe space. She needs that and she deserves that.
Notes:
Whoever edited today's episode did a better job handling Zimmerman's script. And Paige's dialogue felt very true to each of the characters they wrote for today.
Blangiardo-Goins' use of camera angles during the scenes at Dani's home to be above from Bill's POV was smart. It helped us see his perspective without it needing to be said that was happening.
I would love to see some of the restaurants that keep being mentioned (e.g., Dunn Cooking) be introduced at some point in the future. It would be nice to have those spots be accessible, especially if something like Dunn Cooking were in use within the Atrium.
