I don't mind Amber when she's written right, but she's being written as some teeny-bopper Valley girl ho.

I've liked Amber so far on Y&R. She was pals with Sheila at one point, so I wonder if that's going to play into the reason Amber's around right now. Not sure, but I like Amber as a thorn in the side to Lily and Colleen.

She has no point, Cheap but to overfill the show with teen speak when Amber is at LEAST 26-27 years old. It is so ridiculous to hear all the over the top valley talk between her, Colleen and Lily that anyone over the age of 21 should want to bust their own eardrum.

I have to say agree that Amber imo, is not needed on the show. And especially to be wasted on Colleen and Lily. Currently, Colleen and Lily are both dingbats who are getting on my nerve even being on screen, let alone with a mid 20 female bantering around with them. Couldn't the "not ever really used" Jana take up that duty instead of bringing someone new into the cast for it. I sure hope she has some "Sheila" angle to her being on the show, cause if it's to mess with men that are involved with Colleen and Lily, they could have left this storyline out of Y&R.

Lilly & Colleen behave totally ridiculous; adding Amber to the mix who even in soap time is her late 20s is totally stupid. All three woman are downgraded to silly school girls and it only fits Lily.

I remember reading that Lynn Marie Latham had been watching B&B in early 2005 when she was prepping for Y&R and she adored Amber. Wasn't that the time that she was trapping Ridge in camera filled holes and running round with an axe? It doesn't bode well.

Since when do woman have to be the same age to have a rivalry? Colleen is 20 and she and Amber are after the same guy. Why wouldn't they hate each other? The age difference between Jill and Kay was a lot wider when they were fighting over the same guy and acting immature (if not downright crazy at times) about it. Sorry you don't like Amber, but I do, and I think she's a good addition to the show. Now Janna I can live without.

To the other poster Amber related to Jill/Kay *OMG* I hope the writers read these posts that would be so 'TOTALLY LIKE OMG RAD'..

Adrienne fratz is a good actress and If it turns out Jill is really someway her mother then thats the storyline everyone who doesn't really know Ambers past will finally start to warm up to her. This storyline now reminds me of young Amber and CJ/Deacon, trust me she'll get better down the line..

The only interesting addition Amber could have offered on the show is if she and the REAL Sheila came face to face. But even that would wear off after about 3 episodes.

I kinda thought Sheila cameback as a clone of Amber/look-a-like to get close to LAUREN again hehe.

I think that Amber comes off very tacky and reeks of dumb blondeness.

Having watched Amber on B&B and being rather impartial toward the character, I think she just sticks out like a sore thumb on Y&R. She blended in okay w/ the campiness of B&B, but I still don't know what's her point of coming on Y&R. If its b/c of Shelia, I just think that's odd. Maybe Shelia will finally kill her off? I don't understand why, of all the people on both shows, they decided to have Amber return.

The point of Amber on Y&R is to make fat jokes at Colleen. "That dress looks too tight around the middle."

As for the Amber/Lily conflict, I wonder if Lily will be "praying for Amber" to become a better person? LOL.

I could never understand Brad Bell's constant praise of Adrienne Franz. I could understand if the writer likes the character, but ever since her bizarre Emmy win, she's been looked at as such a hot commodity. He even mentioned working around her schedule on writing her back into the show. I guess the "lucky" Y&R fans got first dibs instead.

The only time I ever liked Amber was when she was with CJ. She was far less screechy with him than she was with Rick.

Instead of Jill's daughter I have a bad feeling she will turn out to be Jill's grandaughter. We never met Amber's real father on B&B but we did meet her mother. Maybe Phillip JR fathered children. I almost think that because the casting call for Mac a few months ago failed, we are now subjected to Amber.

As for Jana, I quite like her. She's a bit of an oddball but Kevin deserves someone a little odd. They just haven't done much except have her be a little over-excited about planting false evidence in the murder. It almost leads me to think they are going to pin the Carmen murder on her. I think that would be a big mistake since the audience doesn't seem all that interested in either character.
