ATWT has been absolutely dreadful. I just have no words to describe how bad it is and it gets worse by the minute. F :( I know the F is harsh, but this has been a VERY steep drop in quality and it's so extreme. They're trying to convince us that Craig and Paul are responsible for Dusty buying a gun, planning to and ultimately shooting Craig with the intent to M-U-R-D-E-R him. How can you support that?

I really dont know what were are suppose to do with Craig, Paul and Dusty. None of the three have any rooting value at all. Why should I care what happens to them? Craig has always been scum but we knew why. Paul and Dusty use to be rootable before being recasted by Roger Howarth and Grayson McCouch. But it all goes back to JP horrible, poor, pathetic writing.

I will add commentary later:

AMC - B+ (love the serial killer story and love Zarf)

ATWT - D- (only thing I really love about the show right now is the great actors; the stories stink)

B&B - B (big thumbs up to Stephanie's story - very well done)

Days - C+ (would have been higher, but didn't like the Stefano stuff, and still not buying Steve & Kayla as a couple (sorry but they bore me to tears) I am one of the fans of Billee and Steve)

GH - A (even though it was alot about the mob and Sonny & Jason; I loved it this month. It has kept my interest everyday)

GL - A (always good. can always find something entertaining. The only story I absolutely hate is Dinah's story)

OLTL - D (good acting but still no good stories)

Passions - C (always good for great no holds barred entertainment)

Y&R - A (best thing was the great acting and Kay's story)

-B&B-

A big fat A - nearly every episode was a killer and showed how soap opera should be done: That Stephanie story was definitely the best thing on daytime in all 2006. Less bedding airtime for Brooke&Ridge would have added a +...

-Y&R-

Boy, this was definitely a mixed bag. The story surrounding the ice storm and Kay/Jill was great. Everything else plain dreadful.

I give i a C-, and that is extremely generous and only a pity rating to give Peter Bergman & Sharon Case who were simply amazing credit.

-DAYS-

Like always I'm behind a lot. I mostly watched November this past few weeks and really enjoyed. DAYS is showing lots of appeal Y&R once used as its trademark but still maintining its campy appeal. Lots of people weren't crazy about November if I'm not mistaken, yet I loved nearly everything. B+ with a possible higher rating for December if the momentum continues.

Were we watching the same story? Genie Francis return on GH has that convulted story beaten in spades.

I only watch one show regularly so:

AMC: B+ There has been a major improvement lately. Family and friendship, the backbone of Pine Valley for many years, has returned to the forefront again. It doesn't feel like McT's depressing, plot-driven, dumbed-down version any more. In the past two weeks especially, there has been a good mixture of characters for the first time since Frons took over ABC daytime. It would be nice if more vets were brought back on contract, especially Brooke & Opal, but the vets who are still on contract are being used better, like Palmer & Myrtle's Christmas date. There is still room for improvement, so I couldn't bring myself to give it an A just yet, but if it keeps improving as much each week as it has the past two, it might earn it by February.

Days-A+ Best show on daytime in December and currently. No one else delivered so much on a daily basis.

Y&R-B- (Would've been worse but I actually enjoyed the Ice Storm and Phylis having her baby. The rest was boring though)

GL-C+ (a little boring)

B&B-C (Betty White was good but the story wasn't as good as I thought. Bored by the rest)

Passions-C- (Would've been worst but got better towards the end of the month)

AMC-D (would've been higher as the show has improved a bit but what they did to Julia Barr was horrible and the Zark stuff has been overrated and I can't get into it)

OLTL-F (Way too much John and Spencer)

GH-F (Too much Sonny and Carly pimping although I do like them somewhat and the rest was typical GH of the last few years, which I hate)

ATWT-F (went from the most entertaining show for me earlier this year to the hour where I usually fall asleep due to boredom. Horrible)

Overall, not a very good month for soaps. Only two really held my attention for the whole month and onle one delivered daily for me. I hope January and all of 2007 is better.

Even when I have a day off to watch this show, I have no motivation at all to watch. The writers have managed to make what used to be my favourite actors and characters completely boring, annnoying, just plain unwatchable or all of those three.

GL: B+

I've had a love/hate relationship with GL earlier in December but these last few weeks have been entertaining. I love the different character interactions, I love the additions of Cal and Sheila, Tammy & Jonathan are probably the only extra-marital affair I will ever root for on television, Ava's ITL didn't completely bore me to tears (*gasp*), and the acting on this show continues to be one of the best in daytime.

Once again I can’t agree with you at all so it is useless to delve into it.

For me, Genie’s return was extremely well-acted and therefore was good if even great but GH as a whole got no feel from it since the mob crap was still too prominently featured (admittedly on a low-key basis, yet sucking life out of it). Whereas B&B delivered sth. unique: A storyline giving the whole show a distinguished atmosphere; acting, writing, music, sets - everything went hand in hand. It was just divine.

AMC

B+-there is room for improvement but last month ws fully enjoyable. The serial killer storyline & Zarf's intro/storyline has me completely interested.

PSNS

B-My main reason for watching is Luis & Fancy. Emily Harper is doing an amazing job with the aftermath of Fancy's rape
