B&B: June 2026 Discussion Thread
The show is better than it was months ago for sure. There are A, B, and C stories. I'm kinda here for Katie sticking it to Brooke. So, they're going to base their whole first fashion line on Deke who's never designed a collection before???? What would have made more sense would be for Deke to be hired as a designer in training and ZENDE leaving Forrester for Logan because he knows he'll always be treated as second-class around RJ.

Joe is definitely there to pair with Lucas, and I will say...I kinda felt it some today with the two of them, but I do still miss Marco. Damn, he was handsome. Lulu and Tracy have chemistry in spades! It's hard to believe that they haven't been acting together for years. I just began watching the show regularly the past year. So, this is the first Lulu I've really gotten to know. I wasn't a fan of the actress as Babe on AMC mostly because I didn't like the character, but she's killing it as Lulu. Yep, to Nina and Brennan. I'm kinda ready for Drew to get out of that wheelchair and start some trouble. I can't wait for the first time he confronts Willow. The Curtis/Isiah/Porita/Jordan quad is being really well done, IMO. It's sooooo messy in the best ways. Eventually, Isiah will be proven innocent regarding the accident, and that's going to make all of this soooo much more complicated in the best way. The Cassius stuff is a bit of a mess, but RP is so hot to look at, I don't care. I just wish Elizabeth would get a decent story. She's just the perfect long-term anchor heroine ever show needs. I want her to do MORE!

DAYS: June 2026 Discussion Thread
I'm not sure if it would work, but I do wonder if the show went a little edgier now that it's only streaming if it would help attract some new viewers. For example, show us way more male eye candy! Could a butt shot or two work, for example? LOL I mean, the fact that they're streaming should open up new possibilities in terms of story, too. They don't have to do the exact same thing they did on NBC for all those years. For the love of God though, no more back from the dead, Dr. Rolf, and non-stop Dimeras. I wish they would get back to more relatable stories and characters which I think would work better on such a small budget, too.

DAYS: June 2026 Discussion Thread
I wonder if DAYS dropping out of the top 10 on Peacock was the real reason for bringing Ryan back.

ALL: Escapism vs any semblance of reality
I think the fact that shows like Y&R only have wealthy characters cuts out soooo much opportunity for conflict. Where's the classic characters trying to climb their way up?

I would have liked much more of RG, too. His Michael is one of the most interesting characters on the show. I assume it's just a lull before the whole Michael/Willow/Drew stuff kicks up again. Drew can't stay in his wheelchair much longer.

ARTICLE: REPORT: ‘General Hospital’ Breakdown Writer Ryan Quan Exiting Soap, Returning To ‘Days Of Our Lives’ As Co-Head Writer
I'm guardedly optimistic. I gave up my Peacock subscription around the beginning of the year and stopped watching DAYS after years. I just got tired of the constant Dimeras and back from the dead and other ridiculous storylines. Hopefully, Ryan will help as the show just became soooo boring and listless.

Me, too! The show desperately needed another place for characters to hang out besides Deacon's pizza shack. Plus, we'll get shirtless eye candy all the time now! :)

Right?! Their numbers are way up, and I can't figure out why. It's just the same old same old. I believe the way ratings are calculated was changed a few months back, and it may actually benefit shows that tend to have older viewers.
