Michael taking the name has more than enough impact for me after all the [!@#$%^&*] Carly and Sonny (and Jason) pulled on A.J. It's also worth recognizing that with him taking the name and ELQ, he - a young male lead - helps in his own way to begin to make the family relevant again. It's a good start. He should move into the mansion, AFAIC. They can then find a decent actress to play Brook Lynn, a Maya Ward or something. Add young people, mix them in and that family can always come back.

Michael removing Corinthos and taking on the name Quartermaine would mean something if the family wasn't in complete shambles and a joke right now. Tracy's dumb and uninteresting, Monica is ALWAYS left out of key moments and reveals. Ned pops up every 17 days so that folks can say "they brought back the vets". Everyone else is dead. Not sure if this change in names has much of an impact.

I totally get what you guys are saying, and yes, it works. But for me, I'd love for the Qs to be powerful like they once were and not this fragmented joke of a family who gets no airtime and are stupid as [!@#$%^&*]! This way, Michael's move would have more of an impact.

LC was awful yesterday as well. I guess if she were on more she'd give a damn.

Well all they do is trot her out for funerals. Grief was never what she did best anyway. It's not like she built a career on a trail of tears like Genie Francis.
