Members Darn Posted May 13, 2019 Members Share Posted May 13, 2019 I think the cast overall is in pretty good shape (minus Tessa and bringing back Kevin and a few other hiccups), it's the stories that are absolute garbage. They have the kid playing Kyle, who is handsome and charismatic, and Loren Lott, gorgeous, charismatic and a delight, Camryn Grimes, a proven commodity with a great cheeky sense of humor, and they're utterly squandering them all in awful stories. WHO in the writing staff is inspired by the drip playing Lola? She's not even cute, she's just there yet they have not run out of frontburner material for her. Elena can decide to finish out her residency at GC Memorial. And at first she clashes with her mentor Nate Hastings Jr. over different techniques of care. Then overtime they can bond over the loss of a parent with her mother and he with his father Nathan Jr. Meanwhile, Devon and Elena starts falling for each other whilst Ana warns the pair of them to not hurt one another. It's such an uninspired bore. Griffith has proved numerous times he's not the correct writer for this show. It's unfortunate that they keep hiring him - he's like Y&R's answer to Dena Higley. Just have her lose Kyle (and her damn restaurant) for good; and then, once that happens, she vows never to be on the losing end of anything, ever again. But Steve Kent just loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooves him. (Steve and Angelica are probably the two worst things to happen to this show since LML.) Hack after hack on this show - but it's really difficult for them to top the double whammy of LML and MAB. One reason is because she is rarely ever held accountable for her actions. She curses at Kyle for a purse and blames her behavior on him. She kisses Fen to hurt Kyle, (and uses Fen in the process) and no one calls her out for it. She sleeps with a married man and is called "perfect" afterwards. She flaunts the affair in the wife's face and no one says anything. And even gets encouragement from the Aunt of the man's wife. She's rarely written to be wrong and that is why I think that is why they won't write her as a vixen. Because then they would have to acknowledge/her her accountable for her faults, which they don't want to do. But she also isn't working as a good girl, because she's boring. And really isn't all that good, because she does bad stuff and gets away with it. I don't think she works either way because the writers give her some really negative qualities.
