Okay, I'm just watching my tape now and I must say, I am VERY disappointed in Steve. I wasn't a fan during their heyday and I'm afraid I jumped the gun on being a crazed Stayla fan. WHAT IN THE HECK is up with his anti-God, anti-religion, anti-Christian diatribe? Who is this pagan?! How on EARTH did he hook up with a woman from one of the most spiritual families in Salem? WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD (whom you probably don't believe in, thug Steve) is going on here?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH, wait, nevermind. I see that he just changed approaches. Hahah. Thank God. At first I thought the unthinkable!

The Clay thing was just right. I'm so glad the focus was not on him. It worked out very well the way they did it, IMO. SOOOO much better than the lame Smokey Robinson thing.

Oh, also, God, I hate Doug and Julie.

Nick: "My mom tells me you two are so extravagant!"

Julie: "We ARE!"

Gag me, b!tch! Both of you, go die and take Hope with you!

I was afraid to type anything but I agree. Doug and Julie are CHEESEBALLS!! Don't get me wrong, I love both the characters and their portrayers, but they are so incredibly cheesy. I'm almost embarrassed to watch them and their fake lines.

LOL, JFS, I was going to ask what show you were watching! Steve gave one of the best renderings of the Christmas story I've every heard. He even moved my cold lapsed-Christian heart when he said "God sent his son to be born on earth, to mix it up with us regular folks, so that he could spread the word that Peace and Love is what it's all about. "

Today was the first sign of Maggie stepping into Alice's place. It's so sad to see Frances Reid getting weaker every year. :(

Doug and Julie's relationship is so sick! Julie is Hope's half-sister. Doug is Hope's father. For one point in time, Doug was Julie's stepfather. Now, they're married. What does Shawn call Julie? I've heard him refer to her as Aunt Julie before, but then I've also heard him calling her Grandma, which pisses me off. I understand that she's his step-grandmother, but she's his aunt by blood. I'm just nit-picking right now... Don't mind me.

Chelsea and Hope just broke my heart. I love them fighting, but it's nice to see some resolution finally.

That montage was the most touching, most genuine drama I've seen on a soap all year. My GOD, that was phenomenal. I almost cried. Dang, Hogan, you really know how to move a guy. Emotionally. I mean..wow.

I absolutely love the Lumi scenes...and I really love the transition of Sami... :)

Drew, I've always scratched my head in regards to the whole Julie/Doug/Hope relationship...I had to read the history a few times to truly understand it...and I'm still lost a bit.

I certyainly am not enjoying Mami, or whatever the phunk you wanna call it. I hate the whole "I've never met anyone like you spiel". We've never seen him with anyone but Chelsea - where's the playboy??? Character destruction- we neeed to see that side before he someday settles down, with the preferable help of Abby.

Steve's not religious. Oh holy moly! Thank goodness. Finally one from my side.

I agree. I am ready for Maggie/Rogers to start being on a little more, especially for these types of family things. There's no reason she can't be! I want Maggie to take over the matriarch role when the day comes. I don't want it to be Marlena!

I cried several times and remembering how they have all grown older and dearer and remembering my life changing through all those times, too.

My mom also cried. And that's weird, because she'll watch when she's home, but she won't go out of her way to watch. She's hardly ever emotionally involved in the show.

Is it just me, or did it seem like there was alot going on this year?

The episode, to me, seemed like it was two or three episodes, in a good way.

I think Maxi (?) is just a pit stop on the long and winding road to Mabby. There's no reason not to enjoy it while it lasts.

As in Maxi Pads? I like it. Maybe we can send used Maxi Pads to Corday/Hoagie and tell them no more Maxi!

I love your new siggy KR. One of my fave shows of all-time.

As for Days, I too hope to see Maggie take over the matriarch role when the time comes. But I loves me some Doug & Julie- two of my all-time faves. Re: Doug/Julie/Hope relationship: Doug had Hope with Addie, who is also Julie's mother. Julie eventually wed Doug. Shawn Douglas never knew Addie- neither did Bo. All he's ever known is Doug, his grandfather, and his wife Julie, his step-grandmother. No way would he call Julie "Aunt Julie." She's the only grandmother he knows on Hope's side and Hope as always looked at her more as a mother figure than a sister, considering Addie died when Hope was a little girl.

Well, he's called her Aunt Julie before and I would much rather him call her that than Grandma. That makes it sound like Julie is Hope's mother and the history of these 3 don't need to more funked up than it already is.

I enjoyed the episode. DAYS is really starting to feel like …DAYS again.

It was nice seeing Doug and Julie, Sami and Lucas, along with Alice and Maggie. Although, it would be wonderful if they could coax John Clarke out of retirement to just make an annual appearance at Christmas.

I still feel “ugh, meh” about Chelsea, but it was good that Hope was nice to the lil wench.

Max and Mimi were also a plus for me. But, I am still indifferent to Steve and Kayla.

I've never heard Shawn Douglas call her 'Aunt Julie.' 'Grandma Julie' yes, but not Aunt Julie. The show chose years ago to stop referring to that plot point, before Shawn D was even born. Hope doesn't look at her as a sister- never has. They weren't raised as sisters.......because Hope was raised by Doug and Julie.

I swear when Doug and Julie appeared more regularly a few years ago, he referred to Julie as his grandmother, or he just called her "Julie." But I think it was clear he saw her as a grandparent, and not a great aunt.

but, then again, he was still calling John and Marlena "Uncle and Aunt" when Colin O'Donnell was in the role. Bygones.

Well, they (Hope and Julie) did have a few rocky years...and didnt she have one or two stepmothers between Julie? I know Julie and Hope had some conflicts when KA took over the role, when Julie started to "mother" her more.

LOL, what the hell show have you been watching? When Susan Seaforth Hayes was on frequently after Doug's death and during the summer 04, their sister relationship was frequenly mentioned. And I know I've heard Shawn call her Aunt Julie, or else I wouldn't be making such a big deal of this. I think you're right with the whole "Julie" thing. I can't remember him ever calling her Grandma, that's for sure. So glad I write a DAYS blog so I can fix that horrible nod to history,
