I know the story, but honestly... watching Days today was a breakthrough for me, because today, I actually UNDERSTOOD the story. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt this way while listening to Steve tell it.

Nope, not alone.

Well, I liked Abby's "Good girls don't die on Christmas" line. She's so cute.

This is a Christmas episode that I will keep forever.

Everything was so fast paced it could have been 3 episodes. Def the best Christmas eppy in years

Poor Frances Reid. The ole gal looks so weak and frail, and she could barely get her lines out. When the camera panned to her and she was talking to Tom I started bawling, because I hate to think about it, but I fear she may not be around next year. :(

I wished they ended the episode on Frances' message instead of Clay <_<

Also when they panned across the Horton pictures, I loved that Abby was the last one next to a "classic" Horton pic. Abby is the next generation of the Horton clan! :D Ashley is doing great

Caught the show on Soapnet last night. Very well done, written, and acted and everyone looked wonderful in their holiday outfits. The montage was beautiful, and I bawled at Alice's scene at the end. Steve's reading of the Christmas story was hilarious and touching. And Chelsea, surprise surprise, is human after all. I did feel bad for Abby, but she'll find happiness soon.

It was a wonderful episode. I was a bit worried when people said Hogie doesn't do holliday episodes that well. I think he proved them wrong.

Could of done without Mimi but she wasn't that bad today.

Well, Hogan has some pretty decent writers with him who know people want to see traditional holiday episodes with family interaction. I think he and his crew did a terrific job this year.

i finally got to watch the show, and wow what an amazing episode..I loved every minute of it...First off i felt so bad for Abby when she saw max and mimi kiss after rescuing them...I love that they are giving abby her own storyline, as opposed to just being chelsea's side kick..

the horton scenes were nicely done..It was great having doug and julie there, as they made Mickey's absence a little more tollerable..but days really has to do something about Mickey...Alice's message at the end was very nice, and i get the feeling we probably won't be seeing much more of Alice...She didn't look very good...the chelsea/hope stuff was nice, Rachel Melvin continues to shine...I can seriously see her getting an emmy nom...She's had a great year...

Steve reading the story was pretty funny..and the clay stuff was pretty good actually..I loved the montage..

Finally can i just say how nice it was to see so many happy couples..bope, lumi, and even shelle...I'm so thankful that we have Brandon Beemer in the role..because he and Martha are incredible together...

Like a bunch of people have mentioned, I also worry about Frances' future on the show. I bet the show's producers are, too. I'd wager that it's no coincidence that the show just recently added "Alice" as the middle name of one of the options for the Name Hope's Baby game -- and that they would add it so late to the name that seemed to be scoring the most votes.

Actually JSF-there were two rounds to the Hope baby name vote.

One round was the first name and then the second round they said they would be adding middle names to the first names to help influence the vote. That is why Alice was added recently.

I do think people are worried though. I hate to even think about losing Frances. I don't think we should even discuss it thougj. For me, it's too painful to even think or talk about.

But it's reality. I'm sure all of the DAYS cast and crew are worried, year after year. It's just that, we haven't seen Alice much of the latter part of this year and when we finally do, WOW! Things don't look good :(

Oh I know Drew. It is just hard to deal with. I knew there was a reason why we weren't seeing her though. I mean, we saw her when J&J left and then the next time we see her it hits you hard. She did look a little weak when J&J left but clearly she is much weaker now.

Glad I finally got a chance to comment on this epsiode...this was DAYS doing what DAYS does best. Loved it.

Clay's performance wasn't as cheesy as I expected it to be. I was plesantly surprised that they used it for a montage for everyone rather than just S&K.

I don't care much for either Hope or Chelsea but that was a very poignant and emotional scene when she helped her hang the ornament.

Loved seeing Doug and Julie! Those two, along with Maggie & Alice, provide the critical Horton backbone the show needs. They need to have them on more often. I'm really worried about Frances. :(

The LUMI scenes were adorable. Loved Lucas promising that Sami would have an ornament next year and also that their picture was on Alice's mantle.

It was nice seeing J&J's picture but Abby should have been there hanging their ornaments. The Max/Mimi stuff was an unnecessary sideshow. Those two should not have appeared in the Christmas episode.

Nevertheless, a stellar first Christmas episode for Hogan!

What a Christmas eppy, for those that said Hogan couldn't write a holiday filled show well I couldn't disagree more. What an emotional show. It's so hard to watch Francis Reid as I adore her, but she is 92 and its just a reality people do pass away. I cherish every scene with her now because it may be her last.

I am loving DAYS so much and hope others are too. I just want to see DAYS rise in the ratings so Corday can stay out of the writers way.

When Frances passes away, I hope they do a big tribute to her showing clips of her over the years and other special things. I don't know if I could bear to see it, but they really need to do it. I hope it's not soon though.
