It's really disgusting.

We wanted to fire Josh Griffith for being boring.

But Billy's lines today that "oh well I had a wild side back then so it was fine, and enjoyed it" ... THAT is a fireable offense for a modern writer, in my opinion.

What does that say to rape victims of any gender?

I've been watching here and there recently and there is a good set of characters still on. It's unfortunate how the stories are nonexistent or very slowly paced with nothing happening.

How incredibly hot did Mark Grossman look in bed shirtless the other day..... Lord he looked beautiful!

So they make repeated references to the extra security at Jabot, and then Stark is able to walk into the office, with a throwaway line about how he can be persuasive-ridiculous.

Meanwhile it is endlessly amusing to watch the two Society waitstaff  scurry about when there are NO customers.

And Sharon chats to fellow cast members while her one employee wipes tables as there are NO  customers.

I'm about ready to start a GoFund Me to raise the couple of thousand it would cost to hire some extras.

So does Chance even realize that Johnny is his cousin?

I loved how he talked about Ryan today.  Y&R really needs Nina back with him if they are not going to play his connections to Genoa City.  There are many possiblities, Chloe, Daniel was a great friend, Billy is his Uncle, Jill?, Christine was like an Aunt.

Hadn’t watched today but was Billy raped by Chelsea? I don’t recall. The show was such a mess at the time I remember Billy in the cage in Myanmar with Victor gawking and then pregnant Chelsea coming to town with Anita, but I don’t remember how Chelsea got pregnant other it was written as a sleazy one night to which Chelsea was responsible for sending him to jail, but of course given that all was written Hogan Sheffer.

Tragic that his ghost still haunts this show today with all his bad decisions (Billy, Adam, Diane, Chelsea, Sharon)

So what happened today???? The torrent isn't on yet and I laughed out loud at the sight of Phyllis' Spell coming back to her

Isn't he screwing a sugar baby??? At least is the impression I got

URGH! I was gonna ask about that scene too, I was expecting like "Oh Forget it" but that sounds soooooo gross

Also I got the shock of the week today realizing Melissa Claire Egan is Already 41! In my mind I honestly thought she was from 1989 and 33 yo

Hopefully it will turn out that's Billy in Denial, it would be nice to explore this side to him, a man's man who was quite the womanizer (Or The Town Slut as Chloe once said) have been Raped by Chelsea, the ramifications are numerous and could be incredible! Not to mention a chance of Bonding between Victor and Him, considering Tricia raped Vic years ago too

Christine was well written well her family was Writing the show! Nowadays Christine is a glorified day player who appears once in a While usually to deliver bad news, I Mean There's Paul, She has a Fling with Nick Once, She's Lauren's ex sis in law and they were friendly, She's Scott's Aunt, There's Nina, I hate when they ignore so many ties a character has

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
