I was literally about to make a joke about how Johnny could watch the Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story for inspiration, but I refrained.

Thank you for making that joke!

I mean Sami will love a movie about her and totally thinks she deserves it.

Also, Marlena, umm one of the most important moments of Sami's life was catching you banging John on a table.  OF COURSE that would be in the movie lol!

I’m sure this was mentioned elsewhere but looking at the canvas for characters who would’ve been the most vulnerable to possession I think it should have been Nicole after the dissolution of her marriage, being told to stay away from Rafe(roll eyes), etc.

I can’t help to have this nagging feeling that Ron will using the devil as a way to progress several stalled storylines; the devil possesses Brady and he seduces Chloe, the devil then hops to Allie and she gives Tripp hell and seduces Chanel, and so on.

Another day with decent stories on. I definitely prefer this group of characters instead of the episodes where we get nothing but Ciara/Ben, Brady/Chloe/Philip, Ava/Nicole/Rafe, and Gabi/Jake.

Man, I'm loving this stuff with Doug and Julie. Doug is 96 and in a front burner story. How awesome. Bill Hayes is KILLING it, too. I really love him. I'm also glad that this isn't going to be a depressing Alzheimer's storyline. They're giving this man something fun and crazy to play. Doug saying he locked that bitch in the freezer on purpose and it was so fun. LMAO. And his little sh!t-eating grin when he says "I'm not Doug." I'm cackling. The end gave me chills

Is Doug gonna levitate soon

Kate's finally on! With Lucas! Not really here for Kate/Roman though.

I love Johnny/EJ scenes. LOL at Johnny just being like, "I can easily write you out of the story. Lucas is the love of her life."

Chad/Abby scenes were totally forgettable. I kept forgetting they were on until EJ showed up. The EJ/Abby hug was awkward LOL.

Classic of this board. Those who "don't watch" are now watching again and commenting on something they don't watch. Imagine that. Days has been great since Mr. Carlivati came along and got the show renewal after renewal and is now the most talked about show in daytime with the devil revisit and Beyond Salem.

    • I also wonder if it was considered controversial at the time to show a morally corrupt doctor?(another character troupe for Agnes Nixon, the upstanding male citizen who is hiding secrets back at home) Up until the early 1970s, prime-time would very rarely tell stories about the private lives of doctors, because advertisers tended to shy away from such content.
    • The only blonde I see is one of the actual women staring at first & then screaming & running later.  DAYS: Vivian's manservant Ivan is in a long curly red wig.

Y&R: long straight black wig is the actor Peter Barton whose character name I am blanking on.
    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
