Well said. I agree with these comments as well as some of the others speaking out against the constant and often out of line bashing of Freddie. As well as those that wonder why people would follow him if you don't like him.

If people want to criticize his acting skills that's fine and if people simply aren't attracted to him okay. But people constantly attacking him personally including the constant jabs at his weight and attacking his fiancee looks is beyond the pale. It's mean spirited and immature. I think his fiancee is lovely but regardless that comment about her was not cool.

I've been critical of Chandler's acting before but I don't attack him personally. I don't follow his  social media regularly. I don't know for sure if he has an girlfriend and I don't care one way or the other. If he did have one I wouldn't insult her looks. I didn't even know he could sing until that video was posted in this thread. I don't do stuff like that and I think he's a nice guy IRL. Just like I believe Freddie is.

It would be better if more people would cut out the constant personal attacks on Freddie and now his fiancee. Criticizing his acting is fine and one thing but attacking him for all of this other stuff is not.

Huh? Who looks at Freddie’s stuff? He does nothing that interests me and I don’t like his looks, so why would I click? But here’s the thing — he’s not getting tons of clicks without me. He’s no big deal on social media. I know that much.

i repeat: Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey are both TERRIBLE actors. Today was more proof with their laughing and grinning through their insipid ice skating scenes. It was PAINFUL watching them.

If there’s a God, they’ll disappear from DAYS and find new lives away from any soundstage.

Thank you! Exactly 7 months to go as of today. LOL!

lol I know it's soooo bad. Folks are announced as coming on, then they're done by the time they air ... or it takes 8 months to be rid of someone ... lord. This taping so far ahead is and always will be a mess. And they know it is.

If you don't like what's being said on this thread then avoid it. Simple as that folks...

Dui is serious...he could've hurt someone. As for Freddie weight ….that's open game considering he's an actor. Imean even Chandler realized things had changed when gained weight and knew his scenes were being tweaked because it.

    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
    • I like Jed Allan, it has to be someone who can play authority but "good" authority to oppose Alan's bad. As mentioned upthread, can you imagine how it would have been with Alan and Mike against each other, with Roger in the mix. But I would have had Roger, ever the opportunist to try to take advantage of their fighting to make his own headway.  Maybe that could have been the storyline, Mike involved with Alex, but the constant fighting with Alan causes a rift (she like Mike fighting Alan when it is to her advantage, but he can be a bit self righteous and I can see him demanding her to disavow Alan publicly..) so that is how Roger lands in her bed, much to the consternation of BOTH Alan and Mike. I would like to have a woman of a certain age being fought over by two men (really three if you count Alan.
    • Please let May have less garbage time. The Y&R threads have shrunken, whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads.
