September 26, 201213 yr Member I guess people are just unhappy with who was in it (or who wasn't in it) in this particular opening. Not necessarily. I'm pretty lukewarm about most, if not all, of Y&R's current roster and I still hated it. Remember when Y&R's openings used to be like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n50RDBE8yI
September 26, 201213 yr Member Constance McCashin is TURNING HER HEAD. OK, she's about to tell the producers to [!@#$%^&*] off, but that's nothing shocking for Y*R, surely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPXn-QNxUKM Susan Sullivan is TURNING HER HEAD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ_ad7l25wo It's not that hard. Michelle Stafford, turn your head. People might think you're possessed, but don't they already think that anyway?
September 26, 201213 yr Member It looked like your typical Y&R opening to me. Like mashup of the last one and that one with the white background.
September 26, 201213 yr Member It seemed like they were trying to go for a hybrid of sorts with this opening, I don't know if it was entirely successful in execution though. As I said before, they should have just scrapped it and started from scratch with a new opening format. OR, just have a 15 second version of Nadia's Theme play with a title card - they wouldn't have to update sh!t then...
September 27, 201213 yr Member I don't really mind it too much. Just glad Paul's still in the opening. And, kinda mad that Mrs. C no longer looks like she's flipping us the bird. I found that funny.
September 27, 201213 yr Member I don't know if it was entirely successful in execution though. Then it matches the rest of the show. OR, just have a 15 second version of Nadia's Theme play with a title card - they wouldn't have to update sh!t then... OMG, don't even joke about things like that.
September 27, 201213 yr Member And, kinda mad that Mrs. C no longer looks like she's flipping us the bird. No, but she does look as if someone spiked her orange juice that morning.
September 27, 201213 yr Member No, but she does look as if someone spiked her orange juice that morning. Which is just as funny.
September 27, 201213 yr Member I caught the Canadian day-ahead episode today - there is definitely something very different about the way the show is being scored, it actually feels closer to pre-Latham scoring. They used a great one during the final scene with Nikki and Victor that I don't think I've heard before (or its just been a damn long time since they've used it), but it was nice.
September 27, 201213 yr Member I don't mind the opening. The actors actually look like they do on the present day show instead of 6-7 years ago...I mean when was the last time Bergman had the swoop or Bryton had the Jerry curl.
September 27, 201213 yr Member Braden is the only one not looking at the camera. Or was his shot taken from a scene on the show?
September 27, 201213 yr Member I mean when was the last time Bergman had the swoop or Bryton had the Jerry curl. (You're right, though, Antoyne.) Braden is the only one not looking at the camera. I noticed that, too. Leave it to Eric Braeden, though, right?
September 27, 201213 yr Member Eric Braeden@EBraeden 4 an actor who has been on Y&R a mere 3yrs to suggest the present storyline involving a 30yr veteran is "insulting" is delusional arrogance
