Yeah, I just saw a story about a possible sabotage of ships by Iran.  Here we are with the Keystone Kops in charge when we need real diplomats and knowledgeable people trying to cool this situation down. How many failed wars do we have to have in the Middle East before the lesson is learned? Thousands of innocents have died and I have no idea what was gained from any of it.

This is the same thing this dumbbell did last time with tariffs where all the gains from 2018 were wiped out by the end of the year.

As for the EPA, I wish this was not bipartisan corruption, but it is. Sterigenics, the facility near me in Willowbrook Illinois, has been emitting ethylene oxide for years. The EPA and ILEPA allowed them to do their own environmental testing for over 20 years, per documents the local news station found when investigating.

Seeing senators shrug and say "It's not up to us" as their states are ground into the dust by Trump is astonishing, even as it's also so very predictable. The saddest part is the voters who are being driven into despair and death will still vote for them, every single time.

I've been wondering about how this business has been doing since all the drama. They're thriving.

"When we opened after a 10-day hiatus, our dining room was full. In the following weeks, people who had never been to the Shenandoah Valley traveled out of their way to eat with us. Hundreds of orders for our Red Hen spice blend poured in. And the love spread far beyond our door, as supporters sent thousands of dollars’ in donations in our honor to our local food pantry, our domestic violence shelter and first responders."

In that case, there are some good but unknown restaurants out here (in OKC) that she needs to try!

DeSantis won't disclose which counties were hacked which says a lot. He trailed in every poll last year but he somehow managed to win. It's true that polling isn't always accurate but it wouldn't be surprising if he got a boost from Moscow. I still believe that evidence will turn up that voters were actually tampered with in 2016 but it's hard to believe that Russia didn't go that far to assure that Trump would win.

If that isn't true then it surely will be true next year. Just wait for precincts to mysteriously have their ballot boxes go missing or for votes to be destroyed in "accidents".

Same.  When the three states that pollsters and pundits said Trump would need in order to win against Hillary turned out to be the three states that literally helped him win on election night, the Prince fan in me said, "Something in the water does not compute."

Meanwhile, now that Team Trump consider themselves vindicated in the Mueller probe, I hear on the radio that Trump and Pompeo are going full speed ahead on establishing beautiful new ties with Mother Russia.  To me, it's one of the most appalling and terrifying things I've heard yet.  And, as usual, those who NEED to read between the lines, won't.

    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
