I know.  I feel like you have to actually buy the physical DVD on amazon and it's not cheap.  I wish I could find it elsewhere because I remember really enjoying it and ASJ's abs before I knew how much he sucked as a person.

I enjoyed today's show. I think that the best scenes were definitely the ones at the Tan-O and Sonny with vision/Ghost Mike. Jax works in the Tan-O scenes and I think he actually went easy on Nina (though she was frustrated by the stuff he was saying) all things considering. His displeasure at her lies is going to be nothing compared to what she's going to get from other people, once they find out she knew Sonny was alive didn't tell anyone and on top of that didn't tell anyone about Peter except Obrecht who is now missing. She is really going to get it from all sides. Phyllis is upset with her as well, though, I think she will be more forgiving towards her than others.

Cynthia Watros is doing a really nice job as Nina and you can see Nina unraveling as Sonny/"Mike" is trapped in the burning bar and things and reality is starting to come crashing down around her. She kept switching back and forth today from calling him Mike to Sonny and Phyllis called her out on that. Telling her she seems unsure of what she should call him. It also doesn't bode well for her that Sonny's vision/dream of Carly is what motivated him to wake up and fight for his life. Vision/Ghost Mike also was pushing Sonny towards Carly. I think that's a sign that Sonny will want to reclaim his life with Carly and will end up being furious with Nina when he finds out about her lies. (Though, he still may have feelings for her as well).

Also, regarding the wedding and the guests, I continue to enjoy Gladys. I like her with Vincent Novak. It would be interesting if they fell for each other and actually got married. Maybe he ends up helping out Jason/Carly in some way (like turning on Cyrus) & they grudgingly call a truce with each other. It seems like they did that already, but Jason/Carly could find out about the plan he hatched with the other families/Cyrus and that could put them on the outs again. Brando didn't want any association with him, but it would be something if he fell/actually married Gladys.

Also, it was nice seeing Bobbie again and Trina/Cam interacting together. Cam/Trina's brief scenes today were cute and highlighted their chemistry and the friendship that used to be shown more often.

Jax and Nina could have easily pulled Sonny out of the burning Tan-O together, but her pulls her out.

Just checked the dates, Sonny went over the bridge on December 18, it’s now September 16 meaning the Mike amnesia plot took 9 months

. The Bold & the Beautiful probably would have horrendously wrapped this up in two months.

Sarah looks a lot better lately than she did some time ago when she was way too thin, IMO. The work also isn't too harsh.

Not really the best comparison. I mean the B&B would have wrapped this up in a week and if this was B&B Jason would have have time to marry Carly, Britt and Sam again in those nine months

That wasn’t a compliment to B&B. It’s a comparison of extremes, slow plot movement vs too fast. But I respect that GH knows how to drag things out over B&B that rushes plots to return to repetitive statis.

I know. I am just being cheeky at B&B's expense

I didn't mind the slow pace of this particular story until now because I like a slow burn when the payoff ought to be there at the end which seemed like it... but the last few weeks have been unsatisfying and I am now pessimistic it is going to be as worth it as I had assumed, sadly.

The extreme dragging out of the Jax/Nina stuff and Carly/Jason’s wedding reminds me of old school soap plotting, but not as interesting.  They are trying to do soap again, but it still lacks something.

As ridiculous as James Reilly could be, he at least knew how to make an endless day interesting.

I see that Jason's kids didn't get an invite to the wedding.

This wedding is so cringy and dull. I don't care about the drama with Vincent Novak. And we have Spinelli giggling like a schoolgirl as Carly walks down the aisle. Yuck.

Nixon Falls was much more interesting today than the wedding. Things are happening. Nina is totally in the wrong but I'm not even really that mad at her because Cynthia Watros is just really good. It was good to see Max Gail. LOL at Sonny's first memory being him smashing barware. He's back, now let's get him to the wedding ASAP so we can have a hell of a Friday cliffhanger tomorrow.

    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?
