Lawd...you're terrible Tim.

My soap watching will be officially done in September when Chandler last airs.

I hope he does more movies. In the video they mention a meet and greet with him. I'd love to meet him. Probably my last chance to.

I wish Freddie would stop praising the crappy stories they got. And it's apparent Freddie only listened to his Twitter and insta page viewers because a lot of people were sick of the Wilson pairing and preferred Will with Paul. I know Chandler was aware of it since he mentioned it on his Twitter page a while back.

I don't know. It seems like Days never wanted Freddie/Sonny to have facial hair. It seems like he always had to shave it before he went back to taping. Even though I think he looks better with facial hair.

I think that a lot of men in general (maybe most) look better with at least some amount of facial hair. I would like to see more men including some of the younger ones wear it more.

The budget probably didn't allow for 3 goodbye cakes.

thus them not finding out about their firing. It's sad though that they were never officially told they were let go.

Ken Corday.

he is always the first and last reason why this show is in the crapper, looking like a HS production (not trying to insult HS productions)...

it is. so unprofessional. KC needs someone with some serious money and a love for DAYS to buy him out. he has proven has no NO IDEA what the hell he's doing. and so has Sony.

Judi, I can sort of get that at least - she's recurring and has another job plus they have Bonnie in the wings they might want to use. I could see that being an oversight, but Galen, Chandler and Freddie? They've been regularly on the canvas for the last decade+. How hard is it to sit down with them and actually tell them that they're being written out?

That podcast is too much.

Freddie acts like he’s some incredible actor, when he’s really awful. He always came to work ready to tape with no rehearsal? Yeah, I can tell.

Chandler did at one point say that not being told they were fired was “shi_tty,” but overall kept praising everyone at DAYS and declaring his love for everyone there.

it was so obvious he doesn’t want to burn bridges there or harm his career in any way. I. get that, but overdoing the praise was sickening.

And he wants to submit his crying scenes over Adrienne death for Emmy consideration.....lol

And Mr. DUI thinks he can act.

He was always better with the veteran actors. He was even better with Paul. I doubt he will ever admit to being bored working with Freddie.

I know Smirky gets a lot of justifiable grief for his seemingly lazy acting, but this is DAYS - the same show that’s kept Drake employed for years.

@Soapsuds there’s a marked difference when CM is paired with certain vets. It’s probably because actors like ED and LK wouldn’t stand for it.  What CM and some actors don’t seem to get is that most material, especially on 250+ episode/yr soaps, isn’t great, but good actors are able to transcend and sell even the worst material.

Plus I do believe CM will be back within a few months. The other 2, I doubt will ever return.

    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
    • I like Jed Allan, it has to be someone who can play authority but "good" authority to oppose Alan's bad. As mentioned upthread, can you imagine how it would have been with Alan and Mike against each other, with Roger in the mix. But I would have had Roger, ever the opportunist to try to take advantage of their fighting to make his own headway.  Maybe that could have been the storyline, Mike involved with Alex, but the constant fighting with Alan causes a rift (she like Mike fighting Alan when it is to her advantage, but he can be a bit self righteous and I can see him demanding her to disavow Alan publicly..) so that is how Roger lands in her bed, much to the consternation of BOTH Alan and Mike. I would like to have a woman of a certain age being fought over by two men (really three if you count Alan.
    • Please let May have less garbage time. The Y&R threads have shrunken, whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads.
