I know he catches a lot of heck from people online but I have always liked Freddie Smith/Sonny. He seems like a very nice guy in real life and appreciative of his opportunity. I wonder where he and Chandler may pop up next. I wonder if they may pop up on another soap. Freddie is a truly nice guy. He looks fine!

Days was dumb to let him go. 1 minute ago, VanessaReardon said: Freddie is a truly nice guy. He looks fine! I guess now he can truly lose the weight and doesn't have to be grossed out at kissing another guy. He can finally retire from acting like he said he would.
February 12, 20206 yr Author Member Guess FS saw the writing on the wall awhile back https://tvline.com/2020/02/12/days-of-our-lives-freddie-smith-chandler-massey-leaving-sonny-and-will/ Smith says he saw the writing on the wall in recent weeks. “As the scripts started coming in, I was like, ‘This doesn’t look good. This doesn’t look like we’re going to get [re-]signed to a contract.'”

Christopher Sean seemed like one of very few in recent years who wanted to leave to pursue other options and has actually had success, rather than hanging outside the Burbank studio hoping Corday will have a change of heart. February 12, 20206 yr Member Also sounds like from Freddie's video that the exit comes out of nowhere

February 12, 20206 yr Member Again they should've canceled Days instead. The soap is not going to get any better and the sets are nonexistent. The soap would've been canceled long ago had NBC found a replacement for it. 3 minutes ago, VanessaReardon said: Freddie looks fine to me. And he’ll be ok. Freddie has lots of side jobs. No worries. I could care less about him. He's a horrible actor.
February 12, 20206 yr Member I didn't say it in my blast the other night on the DAYS board, but WilSon are taking up two slots that should go to others. Unfortunately, the characters got boxed in by terrible writing/stories. Should they be a part of the Salem's fabric? Absolutely - legacy characters with ties everywhere. The execution has been terrible - I have to FF through nearly all scenes involving them. The current rhetoric is that "gays" are cut first. But we know that's false after GG's announcement last week. DAYS has to reinvent itself to survive. It's not like they can't come back. In fact, they'll probably start filming before they 'officially' exit.

Well Ron was HW at OLTL when they cut Kyle & Oliver (Kish) in March 2010. They had no exit. Just stopped appearing

See ya at McDonald’s, smirky. And get my order right! lol

February 12, 20206 yr Member I can see them replacing everyone exiting with others who deserve some time on the main show. It was time for a shakeup. I just want to know if this is all budget cutting, is it making room on the canvas for others or is it freeing the budget for a big name? Edited February 12, 20206 yr by KMan101
