She really is. Every scene with her is gold.

i’m immensely enjoying the cast returns this week. Don’t care if they contribute heavily to story or not. This stuff is great, and a throwback to soaps from decades past.

Every show has problems, from daytime to nighttime, but I’ll never understand calling Y&R a mess. That’s just untrue.

I thought that Traci's speech about Colleen, living life to the fullest, and appreciating memories was really poignant. Beth Maitland did a really good job in those scenes. I wish that Traci would have gotten to talk with JT more.

Also, I wonder if Cane/Lily are going to catch Hilary in some type of compromising position and use that to try and convince Devon not to have a baby with her.

I wonder if something might happen between Hilary and Kyle. After Cane and Lily talked about getting Devon to see sense, the camera panned to Kyle. Granted that could have just been the show cutting from one scene to the next, but maybe it was foreshadowing. And I thought that Kyle was standing kind of cozy with Hilary when she was interviewing him.

I will say it started with Sally but Mal has done a great job continuing to make Traci finally feel like a regular part of the Abbott family now. The family just feels whole to me now and I didn't even grow up watching Traci. There's just something about the chemistry between that family. They're outnumbered by the Newmans but are infinitely more interesting to me. The only Newman I really care about is Nikki.

GT may not have been playing Phyllis for the history between Christine but I loved the brief scene between the two.

Can this be the last Kyle recast. I mean jesus, this is the 4th Kyle in what a 5 year period? Or is it 5th?

The lack of flashbacks is killing the anniversary for me. It's not enough to just have them on the Previously On... ugh

Yes Nate returned for like two episodes. Also, don’t get me wrong I do find the show watchable. It has moments which is what I expected from Mal, but I don’t think it’s particularly good or makes much sense overall. I think DAYS, GH and Y&R are all watchable but none are at their full potential by a long shot.

Yes!  Completely agree.

I agree.  Why wouldn't he?  As far as first impressions, I like the new Kyle.  He and MiM def passed the chem test.

JT is fascinating to me and the dialogue has a lot to do with it.

I wanted to hear more from Mac about how he's changed.  She said a couple times that he isn't the same guy he used to be.  Why?  Spill it, girl.

date: Monday, May 12 | Sara A. Bibel, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Anthony Pascarelli Teddy Boy. Teddy Bear. DEADBEAT! Now we know where Deadbeat gets it from. Vanessa in a random two-second spotting with Deadbeat? Oh, okay then! Dana is selling herself to Nicole right now. Oh, look who it is... Anita showing up to support Dani in her demure confrontation with Deadbeat2. Mona is not playing with Eva; from "backstabbing heifer" to "girl bye", she is not playing with her. At all. Joey is fully playing Vanessa, and she's so easily falling for it. C'mon, honey, don't do that. Shanice is going to be a comfort board for Douglas when he takes her advice and helps him heal himself. Mona going off on Dana just like she deserves. Mama Dupree went off: "Handle your business!" Could Eva and Randy be potentially paired for a one-night stand? That could be an interesting twist. Damn Mona with the continued burns, this time for Dana: "Hell was made for people like you, Leslie. Enjoy the burn." Anita questioning her own decisions and instincts feels really natural and real. It's a nice change of pace from the other matriarchs we've seen established in American daytime. Now the true Dana/Ted scenes are coming out. Anita warning Eva that she'll never be a part of the Dupree family shows the claws are fully out. Teddy fully calling Dana "demented" and "psychotic" is going to cause some problems, won't it? Notes: I fully need Maurice Johnson (Ted) gone yesterday; his performances are just not selling to me. Love seeing Tamara Tunie (Anita) beginning to get her teeth into the meat of the scripts. It's about time. Karan Kendrick (Mona) delivered today!!! She's such a breath of fresh air.
    • Oh yeah Leslie is Sheila Carter levels of delulu    Damnit, Ambyr Michell you gutted me with that quivering lip
    • Damn, Anita doesn't play, that was pretty vicious.  I hope Eva gets her redemption.

I doubted the tests but i liked that htey had Nicole as a doctor mention that the test also had genetic markers that matched Teds that Leslie really wouldnt have been able to fake. I think most people thought the test only said 99.999% chance match but its more detailed than that
    • I love Jon Lindstrom on GH...  but I don't enjoy him as Joey, at all.  Joey is a dud character.   And I don't feel any Joey/Vanessa heat at all.  I can see that the actors are trying to show it but it doesn't come off as believable to me. And it's obvious that Joey is using Vanessa and doesn't care a bit about her.

    • I disagree, Jon Lindstrom is boring as hell on this show and the Joey character is not clicking.  When Anita went on and on about how she landed the ideal man in Vernon and what a saint he is - I just hoped that Vernon knocked a few other women up somewhere.
    • Jon Lindstrom has the same type of smoking hot chemistry with Lauren Buglioli that he has with Lynn Herring

    • Ohh good idea! And yes, today's writer is my favorite and he's definitely not disappointing today.
    • What’s hilarious is what when the Dupree’s get messy, everyone kisses their asses, excuses it, and Anita and Vernon go into coverup mode. Those Dupree’s are such hypocrites (but the writing tries to paint them as totally right/moral) and we need more people to call that out beyond Leslie and Eva.
