April 14, 201115 yr Member I know I'll get made fun of, but I actually shed a tear. It's the end of an era. Maybe soaps have fallen in the last few years, but 43 years is a lifetime. I grew up on these shows, and it makes me sad that future generations will never know.
April 14, 201115 yr Member Too bad.... "The Chew" and "The Revolution"? Good luck! Get ready GH- I'm SURE that ABC will do what it can to save the "superstars" of AMC and OLTL... I expect at least a few people to show up in GH, either as their characters or new ones.
April 14, 201115 yr Member Makes MEK feel like eating it. You all don't wanna know what just ran through my mind.
April 14, 201115 yr Member I'd LOVE it if Maria called her and SuLu just put her ass on BLAST on Twitter or something. "AMC ain't even up in the ground yet and THIS basic bitch blowin up my fone about Y&R. Bitch must not know who she playin with." I really want Lucci to drop the neutral act and start gunning for people while she has the spotlight firmly on her.
April 14, 201115 yr Member One thing I do relish is ABC is so F.UCKED if they think either of these shows is going to find any kind of success, let alone the minor success 'The Talk' and 'Let's Make a Deal' have had. I mean, "The Chew," really? I guarantee a title change and even that ain't gonna get people to tune in. "The Revolution?" Good God.
April 14, 201115 yr Member Not unless OLTL gains 3 millions viewers and fast! lol and even then its unlikely to remain as ABC wants out of the soap biz, if the show in AMC's timeslot fails, they'll just come up with another piece of trash to replace that with. Yeah, what's done is done, OLTL won't be back no matter how bad one of these new shoes does. I'm sure they've already got a few backups waiting on the shelf. Though years down the line I could see ABC doing something tacky like slapping the name OLTL on some campy little soap clips for their website. Kind of like how Macy's uses the defunct I. Magnin name as a label. Because it's evocative and it's theirs and they can. Looking forward to Lucci, Slezak, and Strasser on Body of Proof.
April 14, 201115 yr Member That was geared to the mag, not you Scotty That's why I commented "I know..."
April 14, 201115 yr Member I really want Lucci to drop the neutral act and start gunning for people while she has the spotlight firmly on her. And the difference between SuLu and our beloved Eileen is that if ABC decided to "punish" her by giving Erica the shaft through these last (get ready for it, folks) five months, that would make some news pages. I'd love just a nice, calm, sit down chat with her, where she discusses her true feelings about the entire experience. The time is right for her to do one of those epic TV Legends interviews. April 14, 201115 yr Member One thing is for sure, come July 15th it will certainly be a bittersweet 43rd anniversary for OLTL.
April 14, 201115 yr Member La Lucci on twitter: Susan_Lucci Susan Lucci It saddens me that All My Children is canceled. I've loved playing Erica Kane and working with Agnes Nixon & the incredible people at AMC.
April 14, 201115 yr Member I feel like I've just lost one of my dearest friends in OLTL. This must be really hard on Agnes Nixon right now watching both her babies being killed off on the same day Edited April 14, 201115 yr by OLTL #1 fan
April 14, 201115 yr Member Wow. I have no words. Truly a sad day. I imagined it would come eventually, but never really wanted to believe it.
April 14, 201115 yr Member I BETCHA he'll find a role on OLTL within that three-month window between the final tapings. Kevin Buchanan's coming back, yall! If he gets on one of the four shows that are left that is how we will know what soap will be dead next.
April 14, 201115 yr Member I still can't get over how awful a name "The Chew" is for a show. Who the hell came up that? That's the best name they could come up with?
