That ending was EPIC. Michael did it. He did it. We all knew it, but they assumed Bravo didn't have the footage.

OMG. Bravo needs to give this entire cast a raise. I keep thinking each episode is the defining moment of RHOP, but this episode topped it. I am so speechless y'all.

You MUST watch from the beginning. It plays a pivotal role in what is going on this season.

POTOMAC - Whoa! Bravo broke the fourth wall in a big way and really elevated the franchise in the process.

In order to grow the shows need to evolve in their production style. Breaking the fourth wall is a part of that because the show itself is a major part of the women’s lives.

The production footage is damning.

As an aside, Karen brushing her outfit into a dustpan was hilarious.

The difference in RHOBH having the Bahamas footage the entire time (when we assumed it wasn't filmed) and only bringing it out at the reunion and Potomac going for broke tonight is glaring and is why this series is so good! I LOVE that they allowed Ashley and Michael to go on the record and made their version of events VERY CLEAR before airing the footage showing that they were COMPLETELY lying. Further more, Michael knew that day that the cameraman was upset he grabbed his butt! They made it seem first like nothing happened, then said he just bumped into him. It was so obvious that didn't happen!

Another thing on Potomac, I feel like so much has happened and we STILL haven't reached the cast trip or reunion. These girls deserve a bonus for delivering! I also give Ashley props for not quitting.

I thought it was just going to be a standard episode of Potomac, and then they blindsided us with that final footage! OMG! So many questions! Will the cameraman use the footage to relaunch a suit against Michael? Why was this not released when he decided to prosecute?

In other news, Gizelle really is the most awful 'friend' to Ashley. I actually almost felt sorry for Ash last night.

I don’t understand why the franchises are so hesitant to do this. Viewers are much savvier than they give us credit for. Bravo is still trying to sell these series as primetime soaps, believing that breaking the fourth wall breaks the illusion. But there is no illusion.

I love that LVP post-funeral has almost no F&*# to give and has been mind frelling the whole lot of them.

The spark is back.

POTOMAC

Speaking of sparks...Monique has been online saying that final footage has been edited and that is her cousin speaking at the end. Bravo editing at work. lol. I can only assume that was a sloppy cut between scenes at the same party then. That said...good episode. Gizelle is sooo messy.

That wig is Toni Braxton fierceness!!! LOVE.

Speaking of POTOMAC, I saw on WWHL that next week PInky and the Brain are going to pot-stir things between Monique and Candiace next week. Just ugh.

Now that is a bop.

Porsha looks incredible. Talk about star power. And Dorinda looks fierce.

I finally figured out who Sonja reminds me of: she's like Goldie Hawn's character, Elyse, in The First Wives Club - except she's real. They really played up her glamorous daffiness in this video and it totally works.

    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.
