This is what I want too. But I wouldn't hate Emma transferring to PCU. I'm like whichever happens first.

Josslyn and Dex are also a repeat of Zander and Emily and Liz and Jason though in my opinion Joss and Dex don't have that much chemistry in my opinion. Not to mention some missing factors from this story too.

Were Brenda/Sonny the first time they used this troupe of wounded gangster being taken care of his eventual love interest? Sigh. Maybe if they hadn't taken this route, and played them naturally like they were before (Joss and Dex butting heads, the whole scene of her looking in the garbage for Donna's neckless seemed less forced) it wouldn't feel like the writers weren't throwing everything including the kitchen sink to prop these two.

I can't help but to get flashbacks of the Ford brothers on OLTL when I see Dex on our screen. A new pet for Frank to prop, and sacrifice other characters for.

I do not like Joss & Dex.  I think it ruins her character that she is doing Cam dirty.  I saw some rumors, not saying they're true, that he might turn out to be Morgan with plastic surgery. I think it would be funny if Joss made the moves on Dex ,and he stops her and yells "Stop I'm Your Brother, Morgan!"  LOL, it would suit Carly Jr right IMHO.

I liked that they used Paloma to give some added motivation to Holly's actions, because let's face it, she was only a lookalike half-sister created for an adventure storyline 30 years ago and they were never going to use her in a meaningful way again. So may as well kill her off.

    • I also wonder if it was considered controversial at the time to show a morally corrupt doctor?(another character troupe for Agnes Nixon, the upstanding male citizen who is hiding secrets back at home) Up until the early 1970s, prime-time would very rarely tell stories about the private lives of doctors, because advertisers tended to shy away from such content.
    • The only blonde I see is one of the actual women staring at first & then screaming & running later.  DAYS: Vivian's manservant Ivan is in a long curly red wig.

Y&R: long straight black wig is the actor Peter Barton whose character name I am blanking on.
    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
