Dev started out strong. Then started to fizzle out. The kid had potential. If GH were a British soap. They so would've gone there with Dev & Cam. His death reminds me of Guza's killing spree. With young characters like Emily. Logan, Georgie ,Cooper and Sage to name a few. And of course we have to be forced to see Sonny dealing with the explosion. And Dev's death. Because he always has to be at the center of everything. Of course all the wrong characters will be killed off. This is modern era GH. I was never a fan of Guza's. But his explosions/shootings etc. Where all always better than Frank's. All this dark violence is so beyond played out at this point. #RIPDEV #RIPTheFloatingRIB #RIPDUSTIN

I liked him too. He had much better chemistry with Joss and with Cam than Oscar did. I would have loved to have seen a Dev and Cam pairing lol

But they botched him completely. The constant changes in his character really messed him up. And now that he's dead, it's like his character never had any purpose at all. He was practically a non-player.

To me, it seems like the actor was hired before the character was even created which usually turns out to be a problem.

It should be. I know it's usually posted on ABC.com around this time, but I'm not completely sure about the app.

I laughed when Liz rolled over, coughed a little then went into nurse mode. I really can't with this show most of the time. Her kid is a few feet away and she's yelling for Franco.

I wasn't a Dev fan but having only three in the teen scene really limits their stories. I have no use for Josslyn aka Frank's new Starr. And, of course, his dying words was an apology to Joss. How long until we're seeing weeks of her grief and guilt.

A little surprised about the timing of killing a teen quadrangle (Joss/Cam/Trina/Dev - and Dev’s actions weren’t exposed although he was just about to confess) and a triangle (Dante/Lulu/Dustin - who was just proposing).

Re: below, I don’t have the app, but GH is on Hulu and it is also On Demand.

I get the feeling the show had a strong idea for Dev but it hinged on Dante or a backstory with his parents.  I am thinking they may have wanted to make him Sonny's son possibly with Brenda and someone realized that was stupid and/or VM said no and then FV had no idea what to do with him, sent him off for a bit, and then just decided screw it and killed  him off.  It's weird because the show seemed very into him in the beginning.

Dustin lasted longer because of Dante, I think.  He was always basically a throw away character, but when DZ decided to come back they made it more.  With ER leaving there is truly nothing for him to do, so I am okay with him getting killed off.  It's odd they completely changed directions with the story, but it doesn't bother me.

Neither death really bothers me or has any effect on story.  Sonny barely blinked when Dev died and him and Carly felt very satisfied they gave him a home for a couple of years lol.  It's weird for the teens to lose another contemporary so soon after Oscar.

    • It's funny you say that because part of the entertainment of the trials on the show are all the day players who come on as witnesses and jurors.  I'm certain it was like the Law and Order of its time. It employed so many New York actors, that if you look close enough, there's usually someone vaguely recognizable in the courtroom.
    • I will defend Dante.  People already suspect he may be a bit unstable from time to time (from his time as a prisoner).  And, he's taking care of other people's kids from time to time.  So, he has reason to be cautious with those in his care.
    • Josh continues to try and milk Abbott/Newman rivalry. First it was Billy/Victoria, then Kyle/Summer, then Noah/Allie (that worked out well) and now Kyle/Claire. Do we have any inkling when Billy Flynn will arrive and who he will play? I'm sure Cole's illness will mostly play offscreen. What's in store for Nick and Sharon? Is it time to put them back together? I can't see any other romantic options. Nick has no children on the canvas to play off, as Christian is never seen. Sharon has only Mariah onscreen.
    • I would appreciate (if they're not coming), for future scripts to refer to them by their iconic hairdos.  For example, if Hope needs to call Chelsea because Bo has Sepsis, I'd like Shawn-D to say, "My Mom called Chelsea (the one with the sassy short black hair) for an update." Also, new rule, if Melanie does return, she needs to dye her hair back to red.  I googled who she was five times during Victor's funeral.

    • Broderick, thank you for all of the info [I edited for space]. I am so grateful for everyone filling in the blanks for me. I suspected the Nora/Eliot scene was very important and it was setting something up but I didn't know what. Can't wait to see it play out. The two actors had such a great back and forth. I should have made the Paige/Patty Hearst connection. I thought Paige was in love with Brian from the first episode I watched but it seemed as if they were brother and sister. Steve kept being affectionate with her so I assumed he was the love interest. Then she was affectionate with someone else and well..she's a very busy woman. I can't wait to see Frances Fisher show up. (I'm trying to be vague because I don't know what would be a spoiler in this storyline) Now it makes sense why Draper would be upset. I didn't get the whole background of why he didn't go to NY. I'm a sucker for good acting, so I might still side with April and Margo, if the writers don't give Draper more to do besides yelling.  He had more chemistry with Logan, but I know that's not happening.  Something else I noticed: the show really takes care with even the smallest parts. The acting is superb. Too often, I noticed on older soaps they don't take care with the recurring or day players (Ryan's Hope was so bad with this that I couldn't make it through some episodes). It's only been six episodes, but so far, the casting department was spot on.
    • I thought Dante was overreacting.  Gio made some mistakes but he's young and he tried.  It's not like he dragged two 14 years to a party and made them get blackout drunk.  Dante can have the initial upset reaction, but to go on and on was a bit much.
    • His (adoptive) nieces.  Chelsea and Stephanie.  I think Abby was involved too, but I am not sure if they are related lol.
    • That was such a dark story. I never liked Swamp girl after that. And then the dating your cousin thing. I think wasn’t Max in a triangle with two of his cousins?
    • Thank you, @j swift.  I'm probably more sympathetic to Draper Scott than most audience members are -- even though I'm absolutely CRAZY about Ann Williams & her bizarre Margo Huntington character

The more I watch these episodes -- and I've watched several of them a zillion times, I'm ashamed to admit -- you realize there's a WHOLE lot of passive-aggressive hostility brewing inside Margo Huntington about Draper.  She wants to take April AWAY from him and recreate the childhood that she never got to experience with April, because of the adoption 25 years ago.  Draper has sense enough to realize how heartless and vindictive Margo really is about other people's lives and their feelings, but he bites his tongue rather than poison his wife's mind about how horrible her mother really is.  And I admire him for that.  He's a sweet boy.
    • Unfortunately, as the 90s wore on, Felicia started wearing as many gray and neutral tones as Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan could produce, and the shoulder pads deflated to a drop sleeve.
