victoria foxton Author Members Share Posted November 2, 2020 (edited) The very, very special Suffrage episode of GH is so BAD. An interesting idea badly executed. Extremely heavy handed. And badly acted. I do love the period costumes Edited November 2, 2020 by victoria foxton
Faulkner Members Share Posted November 2, 2020 Yeah, it’s bad. GH doesn’t excel at these themed episodes, yet they keep doing them.
AbcNbc247 Members Share Posted November 2, 2020 Ehhh, it was ok Having it be anchored by Carly, the misogynist feminist didn't do it any favors though. Luckily, they didn't do an episode like this when Michelle Stafford was around.
glfaninnyc Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 I really enjoyed today’s episode. I learned some new info and the costumes were great. Brooke Kerr and Sydney Mikayla bring a very warm root-able presence to the show.
ranger1rg Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 The costumes were the only good element of the election episode. My God, what a trainwreck. it went bad from the beginning, where used-to-be woke Joss said she’d vote if she had time and then said she didn’t think a single vote would matter. So to push this episode forward, they had to trash what we know about Joss?
StevieM Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 I liked this episode a lot. And I like it when Laura Wright takes on these throwback characters. I enjoyed her as Lena Eckert Spencer, Luke and Bobby's mother, and I thought she did a good job as Beatrice Eckert. BTW, I have a question for anyone reading this who watched Port Charles. As I understand it, Lucy's candle was part of a big storyline on Port Charles back in the day. Can someone tell me about that story?

The magical candles were created by Rebecca Barrington during the Superstition arc. The candles had powerful scents that could alter emotion. But the candle would only enhance what was inside somebody's heart Edited November 3, 2020 by victoria foxton
Ponds Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 I fast forwarded the entire episode.
BoldRestless Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 I'm watching the election episode right now. I guess they do these so they'll have Emmy submissions, and it just might work. They really push the actress that plays Joss as some great find who can handle all this special material. She always acts exactly the same whether she's herself or young Carly or whatever. She was making some incredibly awkward facial expression in yesterday's episode to boot.
AbcNbc247 Members Share Posted November 3, 2020 Eden’s good. She can really hold her own with other actors, but yeah she’s not the best. When it comes to the younger actors and who’s the most talented, I gotta go with William Lipton.
ranger1rg Members Share Posted November 4, 2020 Eden is not that good. I call her average, too. And yeah, she was making awkward faces in the election special.

I would agree with this, though Sydney Mikayla is turning out the more consistent performances of all of them. I think they're all pretty uneven overall, though.
