November 24, 201114 yr Member . I do wish there had been more communication between the company and those who’d signed on. We were finding out a lot in the press.” I wish there had been as well HBS..
November 24, 201114 yr Member From Jerry Ver Dorn Hello everybody.Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes. I enjoyed the day prepping for the Thanksgiving Feast. Much to be thankful for and a little something to grumble about. Don't blame Prospect Park but rather blame the economy. They lost some financing that was too hard to replace. Start-up money is near impossible to find these days. Who knows what may happen. I guess my birthday present this year is retirement. Love to all.

Few deserve it more than you. Thanks for the spectacular work you did as Ross and Clint. Edited November 24, 201114 yr by Max
November 24, 201114 yr Member Just found out that PP doesnt have the rights or access to the archives, That means no DVD releases...nor classic online streaming either.... Edited November 24, 201114 yr by Soapsuds
November 24, 201114 yr Member The Revolution is filming in OLTL's studios. PP never rented them out. Hmmmm....
November 24, 201114 yr Member Nice of JvD to get on Facebook considering it is his birthday to announce his retirement. Thanks for bringing that over here, I will miss watching him act, but if not for OLTL this would have happened years sooner.
November 24, 201114 yr Member ABC not only unloaded the shows they didn't care about, they actually made money on the deal by selling the rights to PP. Frons will get a promotion out of this. Frons getting a promotion is the worst. First The Chew has been inching up in ratings now this and he still comes out a winner. Will that man ever pay for his incompetence. Of course Disney has a horrid rep as an employer so he fits right in Ugh...what's with these multi endings [!@#$%^&*]...it's not Dallas people.....lol Soapsuds you crack me up.
November 24, 201114 yr Member df, deleted your last post as the full statement from Prospect Park was posted on the SON website around 3 PM this afternoon: http://www.soapopera...ne-life-to-live
November 24, 201114 yr Member Now we'll never [!@#$%^&*] know who the [!@#$%^&*] JR shot. [!@#$%^&*].
November 24, 201114 yr Member I'm sure PP wanted mass killings..but Agnes gave them only one shot with JR. I am sure Agnes is a savvy woman and had to know this was a long shot. I wish she would have chosen a different ending for the show. Edited November 24, 201114 yr by Soapsuds
November 24, 201114 yr Member Disappointing development. However, there is actually something practical that soap fans can do here. Since the problem is that PP needs money, Soap fans can create a company, (maybe even get 501©(3) status) dedicated to saving and promoting the soaps. If one million soap fans donated $100 each to this company, the total sum would be sufficient to partner with PP get AMC and OLTL off the ground.

November 24, 201114 yr Member Three months??? December and half of January doesnt equal 3 months....lol On Planet Hinsey, it's 3 months. What a lousy thing to do to Slezak and the other actors who lent their name and "star power" to the project. They had just finished taping last Friday. Now there can't be any do-overs. I'm grateful that FV/RC started weaning me off my 42yr. OLTL habit shortly after last Thanksgiving when they suddenly started taking a hatchet to Charlie and shoving Viki back to prop duty and babysitting. Then I heard OLTL was going to cease production this year which explained why they did that. By the end of May sweeps, my habit was broken. It's still very sad to see OLTL and its long-time hardworking cast and crew treated so shabbily once again. Reading PP's announcement just before I watched today's show made Viki's tearful last Thanksgiving blessing at Llanfair seem like that was the finale to me.
November 24, 201114 yr Member USA TODAY: "'All My Children' online deal is scrapped" Once again, as far as the mainstream media and public is concerned AMC was key because of SL. It's so disappointing that OLTL got shafted. I'm still bummed about the announcement this afternoon. So in essence we're down to three soaps. GH is toast because of Katie Couric. Let's hope soap viewers start tuning in for the other three. Edited November 24, 201114 yr by edgeofnik
