  1. Does anyone know, at all, what Robin Christopher is up to these days? I know she's long since retired from acting, but it's as if she doesn't exist on the internet. No social media presence whatsoever, that I could find. Just curious if anyone knows anything about what she's up to. She is so talented - shame GH wasted her and that she walked away from acting.
  2. First and foremost, helllloooooo to all of my old friends here! It's been a long time, but I am always around peripherally and still enjoy reading your posts! I haven't done much soap watching over the past few years, though I keep up minimally with GH and Y&R. However, in my personal life, I have been doing a lot of writing recently as I prepare to release my second book this fall (shameless plug -- sorry), and the "stories" have been on my mind. Ever since the news first broke about Kelly and Mark's potential "Pine Valley" reboot, the gears have been turning in my head regarding what other soaps this could be done for, and what other types of avenues there might to keep these shows and all of their history alive. As those of you who know me know, GH has always been my show. Coming up with a primetime spinoff was my goal, and it proved a little tricky due to the fact that GH is very much still running steady (though I use that term loosely). Thus, I thought I would create a thread where we can all brainstorm and propose our dream spinoff or revival for our favorite show. I know threads like this have been done before and no, I don't expect any of this to ever actually happen, but hey, times are tough - let's have some fun! I'll go first! --- "ELQ" (ABC or Disney+) Set in Manhattan, "ELQ" centers around the company's launch of a new cosmetics division, with their first collection ("Ageless") set to launch in the coming weeks. Serving as the face of the launch is none other than former Port Charles resident, famous model and humanitarian, Brenda Barrett. As it so happens, Brenda's (relatively) new husband, Sebastian Taylor, is the CEO of ELQ Cosmetics, a favor called in by the Quartermaine family after his career successes at a rival, established cosmetics brand. In preparation, ELQ throws a lavish and exclusive industry launch party for the premiere of "Ageless". All goes swimmingly, until Sebastian is found brutally murdered - right in the midst of Brenda's big introduction as the face of the brand. Chaos ensues in the following days, and Brenda quickly finds herself in the spotlight. Dark secrets of their relationship soon emerge, and before long Brenda finds herself as the primary suspect in Sebastian's murder. Meanwhile, Sebastian's death leaves the CEO position wide open. Isaiah Hollingsworth, the company's VP, and husband to established NYC doctor and Quartermaine heir Maya Ward-Hollingsworth, has his sites set on the position. He seems to be a lock for the role - that is until the black sheep of the family, Skye Chandler Quartermaine, swoops into town with a vengeance (and a new husband, Carlos Avery). Tracy Quartermaine is named interim-CEO, ultimately burdened with the responsibility of choosing a successor. Tracy quickly dismisses Skye due to their mutual dislike and distrust for each other. Skye, however, has teamed up with Tracy's power-hungry granddaughter, Brook Lynn Ashton, and together they hold a dark secret over Tracy's head. This creates immense tension between Brook Lynn and her mother, Lois Cerullo, who is in town to support her best friend Brenda. As a bloodthirsty battle for power over ELQ Cosmetics rages between Tracy, Skye, Brook Lynn and Isaiah, Brenda finds herself in need of legal counsel. Thankfully, she is able to call in the help of Maya's younger sister, Zoe Ward, who has become something of an infamous - and successful - criminal defense attorney. To make matters even more complicated, the case against Brenda is being led by investigator Gabriel Cruz who himself holds a mysterious connection to Port Charles and the Quartermaine family. Cast: Vanessa Marcil as Brenda Barrett Lana Parrilla as Skye Chandler-Quartermaine Annie Ilonzeh as Maya Ward-Hollingsworth Trai Byers as Isaiah Hollingsworth Amanda Setton as Brook Lynn Ashton Rena Sofer as Lois Cerullo Jaime Camil as Carlos Avery Conrad Ricamora as Gabriel Cruz Raven Goodwin as Zoe Ward Recurring Cast (GH Characters): Jane Elliott as Tracy Quartermaine Leslie Charleston as Monica Quartermaine Ingo Rademacher as Jasper Jax Lynn Herring as Lucy Coe --- Anyway, that's just my baseline idea. Let me know what you think, and I can't wait to read all of your ideas as well!

Bitch!! Welcome back. Nice to hear from you.

  4. Love her! Always liked Adreienne Leon in the role though so that's mildly disappointing. I'm surprised Amanda is back on soaps. I really thought her career was gonna take off.
  5. Thanks. I wasn't watching then but I remember tuning in bc Bobbie was on around that time when Joss threw a party she wasn't supposed to or something. No idea how the name Trina stuck with me.
  6. This is really what we are using her for?! She's been a lot of fun in her scenes but we couldn't find something better for her?
  7. Thanks John. The new opening is atrocious, other than the final shot of the hospital with the logo over it, which I like a lot. I am liking Trina but I feel like the last time I watched years ago she was like...asian? Am I making that up? Was that another friend of Joss'?
  8. Just watched Monday's episode. Are they putting recurring people in the opening powerpoint now??? I noticed Bobbie and Epiphany were in it.
  9. I just turned on Friday's episode. WTF with this powerpoint opening?!?!?!? Faces of the Heart would NEVER!
  10. This is probably an off the wall choice considering she has been long forgotten and was significantly less scary towards the end, but Cynthia Preston's Faith Roscoe on GH sent absolute chills down my spine. When she first showed up in town there was just something about her performance and her style that was terrifying to me. It's a shame that they quickly diluted and wasted her and then killed her off for no reason. She's one random return I would not be upset about and I hate that CP never popped up on another soap.
  11. I think I'm about to start watching GH again for the first time in years, I'm glad even if it's a disaster I'll still get to see Bobbie. As for JZ and her appearance, I think she is looking great these days. Obviously there is residual damage or whatever. But think back to this scene with Alexis a few years ago as compared to now. I really think being sidelined and dismissed fucked with JZ's psyche. It's very sad. I'm glad they are utilizing her again in any capacity.
  12. Damn, I thought Bobbie was getting a real story. Sounds meh. But at least she's being used. Thanks PJ
  13. I heard Bobbie is getting a diabetes story? And she's back with Scotty? Can someone fill me in?
  14. Very sorry to hear about Vicki. She is not just the original RHOC, but the ORIGINAL housewife! Sort of feel like she should always just be there. Haven't regularly watched OC in a while though, so maybe I'm wrong.
  15. Hi, loves. 😍

Hi everyone! Makes my heart so happy to see so many old friends still here. I am always lurking but I have been consistently getting locked out of my account for a while now. Was finally able to change my password. I am well and hope all of you are too! Look forward to reconnecting with everyone. ❤️

  16. Popping in to say that if Robin Christopher is returning to GH, it will finally go back on my rotation for the first time since 2014.
  17. Good for her! She has established a very credible directing career for herself.
  18. I loved the movie! It felt true to the original, and Jamie Lee Curtis was wonderful as always.
  19. I saw that!! I am excited for her! Hopefully she can do both!!
  20. Yayay! I'm glad to hear that!! And thanks old pal!!!
  21. I started watching AMC in the early 2000's because my mother did. The first storyline I vividly remember was the baby switch crossover with OLTL. I eventually fell out of the show because my mother did, but later picked it up again around 2008(ish) because my sister was an avid fan and I fell into it watching at her house. I wasn't aware of writers/producers for ANY soap, really (even my staple show GH), until I joined SON in the fall of 2009 and began interacting with everyone here. Throughout the 2000's I had grown increasingly fascinated with soaps, watching old YouTube clips and episodes, reruns on SoapNet, etc. as soaps were a HUGE part of the inspiration for me to pursue and education and career in writing. I do think of AMC slightly differently than other soaps, because it was the one I acquired a love for in a very different way than the others. Much of my introduction to the show and later love for it happened retroactively, especially due to my love for Skye Chandler Quartermaine, which inspired me to go back and become much more informed on the show's history. Eventually, the characters and storylines of Pine Valley began to hold a very special place in my heart, and by the end of its run I was an avid viewer. Hope this helped in some way. Best of luck to you.
  22. HEY BABE! I did enjoy the reunion, though it was hard to watch at times. "WHERE IS YO SCOOTER?" will always be on my mind.
  23. Hey old pal! Thanks for the update Love that Bobbie was a big part of that storyline. Glad to know Miss Zeman is still working regularly.
  24. I am actually quite excited to see this. Thanks for posting, Vee! Hope you have been well.
