I'm sorry is Post Production for TV shows that much different than a movie?

I mean if it was that in complete after extending the filming from where it ended on BH at Dorit's I would think they would not have even started airing.

Totally kills the momentum.

Are we going to have this problem with RHOP or is it completely done post production wise...which it should definitely be since it was pushed back.

Thank you. My point exactly. Several STILL have this. And I refuse to believe that Bravo in LA would not.

For example, mess or not, JJ Abrams got RISE OF SKYWALKER post production all the way out to the the last minute without having to change the December drop date which I heard was a worry. Of course, articles have almost mention JJ having his own editing office so...

Some say ill informed. Others like to take what is in front of them and analyze without (too much) tone.

Why we gotta pick on BELOW DECK. Okay, jk.

I know! I check this thread all the time - for my money it's the best on the board.

If anyone needs a show to watch to fill the void, 2 seasons of Selling Sunset are on Netflix. It's a very fun watch.

I'm surprised they didn't leave RHONY going for four weeks and then when BH came back, put Rhony on hiatus for a few weeks. Or switch them out, 2 weeks here, 2 weeks there.

IA! I love this thread. Will continue to check it for gossip and other observations!

I still have to watch the Dale and Tinsley Gossip Girl knock-off you recommended (I put Dale first because IMO she is the real star, lol). Also, my Hulu (it's called Hayu here) account is recommending I get into Family Karma and the Real Housewives of Vancouver S1. It knows me too well.

IA with you that Bravo could do a lot worse than screening all seasons of Melbourne over the next four weeks. LVP stans would be more than happy with a Gina fix. Also, a side dish of Auckland, which is a jewel of a one-hit season. It has RH's weirdest, kookiest, creepiest anti-heroine in Angela Stone (and one of its nastiest HWs in Julia).

Million Dollar Listing LA starts a new season next Tuesday.... but I agree, momentum is important and to drop both housewives shows for weeks at the same time is haaaaard.

Married to Medicine LA didn't even get a new episode this past week, and I think they're already halfway through their season, because the mid-season promo has already aired.  I guess we're in for a short season.

For real! lol

I guess this hiatus will finally give me a chance to catch up on DAYS, of which I have like 25 episodes to catch up on. Well shucks Andy Cohen, I guess the Housewives really did replace the soaps.

And a hiatus for housewives will not be good..already the franchise has taken a dip in ratings and quality.  I think the franchise will need to change in some fashion

I saw that Nene seemed to 'like' comments suggesting Andy should be fired. (and more Kandi shade) I know she has a lot of axes to grind, but I do wonder about whether the shows would be in a better place without him. Just on the race topic, I was thinking not only of everything with Joyce, but also how much Kim Zolciak was coddled and how they clearly intended her to have a big, successful comeback at the expense of the black Housewives who'd made the show a long-runner while she half-assed it and then quit. I'm not sure how much of that was Andy and how much was the producers at the time though.

Nene is such a hypocrite. She doesn't care about any of this. She's just using it to stay relevant and to keep her peach. It's actually quite disgusting. Suddenly, she cares so much about racist behavior when she's been trying to get Kim back on the show? I also wonder if Porsha's feet will be held to the fire over her anti-gay preaching and remarks. I know she "apologized," but if we're getting rid of people because of offensive behaviour, Porsha should be axed as well.

I wouldn't mind Andy going. I remember how he found Brandi's behavior towards Joyce amusing, and he was so condescending and dismissive of Joyce during the reunion. Yolanda was the same way. Andy doesn't care about the racism, but if any of these women had said something anti-gay, all hell would have broken loose.

Tinsley just announced on her social media that tonight is her last episode and she is officially no longer a NYC housewife after tonight. She’ll be on WWHL later tonight to discuss.

Sonja screaming "SHUT THE F*CK UP ABOUT THEM!" is a MOOD.

Also a mood is Sonja's post on Tinsley's Instagram goodbye. It's so petty and I couldn't stop laughing:

    • I did not care, just clarifying that was the discussion point. If there are ice cream bars in Statesville I am sure there is a full spa
    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
