Members titan1978
In her infamous exit interview, she said she had complained about how long the day had gotten twice, on behalf of herself and the cast/crew, and wasn’t shy about wishing the current story for Alexandra was over and moved on to another.
Members amybrickwallace
Patrick Mulcahey really should write a book about his soap days. He has a lot of great stories and great insight about the genre.
Members FrenchBug82
And they really didn't listen which kind of bears my point lol
Members amybrickwallace
On top of all that, wasn't A still a regular on LA Law then?
Members Mitch
And sadly, after she left the Jenna/Roger take over of Spaulding took place, which Bev would have been great in. Watching clips you cna see that they rewrote some Alex material into Van...(convincing Henry to lie about being Jenna's dad, etc.) I just wish they had just not recast Alex and morphed Van into an Alex position as being head of Spaulding, etc. They could have still had their boring Matt story but Van would not have been robbed of her power and not become the sighing woman later. They were so wedded to their formula of Mindy/Nick with the evil mother.

Members DramatistDreamer
1994 wasn't a great year but I still wanted to at least watch until early '95. Damn that YouTube strike team!
Members kalbir
How far into 1994 did that channel get? The last episode I watched was Nancy Curlee's last credited episode.
Members DramatistDreamer
July 1994, at least.
Members Franko
Yup. He hung around late into the final season, leaving with just a handful of episodes left.
Members Stitches0210
Mid-July 1994. I didn’t realize it until seeing Bandstandmike’s uploaded videos—Jocelyn Seagrave (who played Julie Camaletti) and Nia Long (who played Kat Speakes) left in the same episode of CBS’s Guiding Light. (Long returned in October 1994, as a guest, to wrap up the Kat-and-David love story.) Two episodes following the series departures of Seagrave and Long marked the series debut of Ron Raines taking over the reactivated role of Alan Spaulding. (Raines played the part, and stayed with GL, until its last episode in 2009.) Bandstandmike did a lot. I applaud him. And this does stink.

Members BetterForgotten
Now Alan and Kim Zimmer have nothing to talk about! I didn’t see his work on Ozark, but part of me is glad he was snubbed as he always turned me off on GL and the hype machine around him at the time was too much and not warranted, IMO.
Members Soapsuds
The hype machine is still alive. He's mentioned in ever GL reunion and in some ATWT ones. I'm so happy he didn't get nominated.
victoria foxton
Tom played a manic depressive version of Jonathan. Where he chewed the scenery like he did on GL. He was one of the worse things. About this overhyped but good show. Thankfully he was killed off. The accent he used was so bad.
