And sadly, after she left the Jenna/Roger take over of Spaulding took place, which Bev would have been great in.  Watching clips you cna see that they rewrote some Alex material into Van...(convincing Henry to lie about being Jenna's dad, etc.) I just wish they had  just not recast Alex and morphed Van into an Alex position as being head of Spaulding, etc.  They could have still had their boring Matt story but Van would not have been robbed of her power and not become the sighing woman later. They were so wedded to their formula of Mindy/Nick with the evil mother.

Mid-July 1994.

I didn’t realize it until seeing Bandstandmike’s uploaded videos—Jocelyn Seagrave (who played Julie Camaletti) and Nia Long (who played Kat Speakes) left in the same episode of CBS’s Guiding Light. (Long returned in October 1994, as a guest, to wrap up the Kat-and-David love story.) Two episodes following the series departures of Seagrave and Long marked the series debut of Ron Raines taking over the reactivated role of Alan Spaulding. (Raines played the part, and stayed with GL, until its last episode in 2009.)

Bandstandmike did a lot. I applaud him. And this does stink.

Tom played a manic depressive version of Jonathan. Where he chewed the scenery like he did on GL. He was one of the worse things. About this overhyped but good show. Thankfully he was killed off. The accent he used was so bad.
