They FIRE JERRY FREAKIN DOUGLAS to play ghost to Jack. That is an insult to all of his years on the show but I don't expect this moron in charge to remember it. And why in the hell would he even come back to play a ghost. What a load of crap.

John the Ghost haunts Jack, but not Ashley? Isn't she doing the same thing as he? And its been proven its a ghost, because it knocks things over and acts like the Ghost in a Christmas Carol.

Kevin is a good dutiful son. According to John. Kevin that almost roasted his granddaughter alive. That helped Michael defraud the family of the company. OOOOKAY.

Victor, has somehow gotten his memory back, but has only gotten it back in regard to JACK. He doesn't recall that he was terrorizing his entire family to the point where his kids and wife tried to stage a coup to kick him out of his own. He doesn't recall that he FIRED Phyllis the homewrecker for being JUST THAT. He doesn't recall that he had major issues with Victoria marrying Brad. No, everything and everyone else is hunkeydory and Victor's a nice sweet guy, its just JACK is public enemy.

This is exactly why I can barely watch this show. LML forgets history. The stories are half asssed and fall flat. She seems to have a serious vendetta against the Abbotts because she systematically gets rid of them and another fine actor in Eileen Davis. The stories are unsubtle and boarderline ridiculous. If you can't already tell, I'm disgusted by the way my favorite soap is being systematically destroyed.

Lastly, I really hate the way this show is advocating a man cheating on his wife with this Nick and Phyllis story. Of course on soaps, these things happen and helps drive story and is hella interesting and fun. But its another to outright glorify a man sleeping around on a wife greiving for the death of the daughter that her husband allowed to go out when she refused. That hasn't been done before and I've watched this soap and others for a long time. The adulterers are usually outcast but this is glorification. But I guess since LML salviates at the thought of Nick and Phyllis, I'm sure this will be ongoing.

I hate how they are destroying the Abbott family in favor of the Fisher-Baldwin's.

I hate how they are using John's ghost the way they are.

If they are getting rid of Ashley they better have the skin cream incident come out before she leaves. They better have Gloria face the ghost and have him rail at her about what she did to his daughter.

When Jack takes the fall at Jabot,they better come out that Kevin hacked in to his computer and the Jabot website and all that Michael did.

Tuesday: Extremely boring but the writing was at least not thaaaat horrendous like on Monday...

Line of the day went to Brad: “Guess what Sharon, your friend could be Jack - the Ripper...”

Really, except for Sharon/Jack and Paul/SnarkyDetective this show was again a huge waste.

Wednesday wasn’t much better either (Y&R turns CSI: Lame Ass... Ugh!). At least Dru was on and delivered some serious Drama Queen-ness. Did she and Lilly share their first real scene together since Faux-Lilly-who-shall-not-be-named returned!? Neil was in it, too, but Dru and Lily had kind of dialogue exchange so that’s what counts...

Colleen (who I still like) & JT are killing me. They’re not as awful as to Dickolas&Giggilis-standards, yet they come really close - snoozefest...

Victor (and EB’s egregrious mumbling) starts to annoy me as well. It’s like nothing ever happened and he’s written more one-dimensional than ever. And don’t get me started on that cheap polyester hooker-oufit Victoria has been wearing recently...

Line of the day belonged to Jack: “Everyone could be the killer - isn’t that right, Bradski?”

I wonder whether today and tomorrow will get any more exciting. Y&R really has been falling flat whole week, just after I thought it could get good again...

I've read the Canadian recaps for tomorrow's US show and it sounds really good. Highlight to see: Gloria and Joanna go at it. Phyllis and Sharon actually have a scene where they are not being catty. Daniel and Lily wreck and Jack and Phyllis gets stuck in the elevator and she starts having contractions.

This whole "poor GloHo" drivel is getting beyond ridiculous, maybe GloHo can die soon; then we could get rid of "Ghost John" and GloHo.... The last scene we would ever see either of them in would be the two of them being reunited in Heaven....

LML seems to be so intent on writing GloHo as the innocent, abused, and mistreated widow; it's making me hate GloHo a lot more than I ever have before; and it's also making me loose respect for the show..... The way they are making "Ghost John" spew that absolute drivel to Jack and nobody else is pissing me of too....It's also destroying the charater of John Abbott, and Jack Abbott.....

Its so stupid too. When she phases them out, who is she going to have Victor triumphing over all the time? Since the Fisher's just kiss his asss, and everyone bypasses their crimes, I guess we can change the name of Genoa City to Hunkeydory Land. Oh wait, she'll just create new boring characters who committ all the crimes.

I don't agree. Victoria could've fired Dru, but she didn't, she put Dru on leave with pay. There is no denying (even Dru admits it) that Drucilla was acting...wild and was a lawsuit waiting to happen. I think Victoria tried her best to help Dru, including bringing in Victor to pay Carmen off.

This Gloria propping has completely made me hate Latham. I've been very supportive, but this is dreadful. How the hell can you rewrite things that YOU wrote? Latham is the one who created the skim cream scandal and she still mentions it heavily while avoiding Gloria's part in it. Jack is demonized for trying to salvage his company from what SHE did.

If they presented Gloria as a real villian who accepts responsibility for her faults, this could be a dynamite story. But the one dimensional Jack/Ashley = Evil thing is too simplistic and makes ZERO sense. And I absolutely hate Ghost!John.

I really don't think she's writing the Abbotts out and I fully expect a revamp for this family. I was reading one of those soap mags and Peter Bergman STILL is talking about the shrinking Abbott family. So far Latham has done a good job of bringing back characters we want to see (Jill, Katherine, Victor, Dru) so I'm going to have to hope she'll bring Jack a family. Especially with David Tom interested in returning, the Abbotts are down but not out.

BTW, this isn't close to being the first time the Abbotts were near extinction. The fact that only three (Jack, Ashley, John) are left would tell you that.

I just wish Latham would stick to the things she already establishes. I'm so sick of all the character motivations shifting to fit the new phase of a story. If she could get this straight it would work much better.
