I'm enjoying the show a lot right now. Sure, I wish Ashley wasn't leaving and that Jack wasn't being such an ass, but there are a lot of things I like right now too. I like that Y&R continues to take a long term approach to a lot of it's stories, including romances. Brad and Sharon and Victoria and JT are examples. On most soaps you go from 0 to 180 in 60 seconds. I just hate that. Y&R keeps people apart, but connected. That's a lot more interesting to me.

I love Nick and Phyllis together, but I hope they actually get a story when this kid is born. Just seeing them make out all of the time isn't enough. Either the baby should be Jack's or they need to come up with something else for them.

One thing I like about LML is she's using the Winters. It might nmot be a story everyone loves, but I'm enjoying it. I love the side story of Devon losing his hearing and being adopted, while this whole murder investigation is coming to a head.

@Juliajms: I get your point and agree with you to a certain extent.

The overall story ideas and the approaches are mostly great but the outcome plain and simple sucks. The show is pure crap which is too bad because Y&R used to be interesting even when stories were boring. LML is probably the most creative writer out there, yet the product on-sreen is really disappointing.

Stories that move too fast without any suspense in it, characters which change their minds quicker and more often than Brooke Logan has married on B&B, character and stories moving along without development but just plotpoint-hustle. Step by step all the characters - who used to be daytime's strongest and drove the show - are destroyed.

I'm sorry, Y&R is an extremely bad state. I got my hopes up last week but see what has happened since. The same old sh*it that has been my main grind since late October.

BTW: The argument that 3 Abbotts don't qualify as a real family and the logic consequence is to write them off one by one is just laughable. Same goes for the "revamping" by killing off John, sending away Ashley and making Jack the JR Ewing of GC who's likely to get shot by February or May Sweeps if this trend continues.

Joanna kills me. I loved her, but I missed the campy music for her introduction.

The Sharon/Nick/Phyllis scenes were good. Finally some maturity.

I really enjoyed today's show 12-15, I loved seeing almost the entire Y&R cast all in one show, in fact I really can't think of that many characters that were missing today, I loved the beginning of the Ice Storm and I hope it will be good.

I didn't mean that 3 Abbotts doesn't qualify as a family, but that it's already a dwindled down family. And I do think that having only three characters, only one in regular storylines (Jack) makes it easy for a new writer to write them off. Like with the Lily situation they probably didn't think anyone would care if they wrote Ashley off. Of course they were wrong, but you can see how they'd get there.

I'm still keeping the hopes for a return of the Abbotts. When people complained about Lily they cancelled the plans to reshoot Davetta scenes and get Christel on faster and she was completely dropped from the storyline. This is an example that they do care what fans think, but it takes time for things to be written, re-written and then make it to screen. We said we wanted Victor, Katherine, Jill and we got all of them with the added bonus of the Winters family. Now we want the Abbotts and I don't think it's a stretch to think we'll get it.

Especially when you have Peter Bergman STILL complaining about it in the soap magazines.

I have always taken issue with Noah and Cassie calling Victor and Nikki by their first names!! So finally!!!! WOO-HOO!!!

Josh Noah has called Victor grandpa plety of times. Nikki is to pretty to be an old grandma. J/K.

Can Peter and Michelle just share a REAL scene atleast once a week. They are amazing together.

I think this is a clause in one of their contracts, along with Victor never being able to lose. Until the end Cassie called them Victor and Nikki and I HATED that.

I could understand Cassie calling them by "Victor and Nikki." They aren't her biological grandparents and she met them when she was what, 4? However, Noah needs to be calling them "Grandma and Grandpa."
