  1. Agree. I don't want to minimize the severity of WS' actions, but there ARE bigger, more important issues that we need to talk about.
  2. Leave it to some so-called "wokesters," though, to demand that Will (the character) be removed from the series after what Will (the actor) did at the Oscars.
  3. The uniforms in the first season make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Backless halter tops with clashing skirts? Are these women servers, or are they hookers? Well, "It's a Living"! And you're right about the "Making a Living" version of the theme song not working. Which is fitting, since I don't think Louise Lasser (God bless her) or Gail Edwards' Mary Tyler Moore hairdo worked on that show either, lol.
  4. If you want to get philosophical about it, though, any action, no matter how seemingly small or minor, will Change Lives Forever. That's just the way life goes, lol.
  5. There's Genie Francis...and the rest?...I could take or leave.
  6. It's like Erica Kane's marriages: not all of 'em are legal (or legally dead).
  7. IMO, Kay and Nikki's relationship worked, because of the little-girl naivete that made Nikki outwardly different from Jill, who could seem almost TOO greedy and grasping at times. Of course, if *I* had been in Bill Bell's shoes, I might've been tempted to write a story where Kay "grooms" Nikki into someone who could seduce John Abbott away from Jill.
  8. I love what I call the "beautiful downtown Burbank" lighting in those scenes from the '60's and '70's. It's so artificial, and yet, it doesn't feel like vintage NBC without it. (See also: "Sanford and Son.")
  9. Wait, what? I don't get it. Is B&B literally rewriting who gave birth to whom?
  10. From what I've heard, Marland's original plan was for Kelly to end up with Nola, but when the whole storyline with her and Quint took off, he changed his mind.
  11. Oh, no. Not Jan. "It's a Living" was, IMO, a mediocre sitcom nevertheless blessed with an extraordinary cast (minus Crystal Bernard, lol).
  12. The news about Bruce Willis' condition hits me particularly hard, as I've always loved his work (opposite Cybill Shepherd) on "Moonlighting." To me, it was better than any performance he gave on film.
  13. Linda Lavin Larkin on the same show with Lance, Leslie, Lucas and Lorie. God, so many L's, you'd think Laverne DeFazio was the HW.
  14. IKR? Maggie: "Is it safe?" Oh, please, spare me the Christian Szell routine. Just stick the needle in Sarah and get it over with!
  15. When a story about demonic possession is putting viewers to sleep, you know your show's in trouble.
  16. Oh, God, when Phyllis is the one talking sense....!
  17. Anna snatching the antidote from Maggie's hand and injecting it into Sarenee's shoulder just about makes my 2022.
  18. Q: Could the Academy file criminal or other charges against Will, even if Chris declines to?
  19. Just be glad that the days of Richard Simmons at the Campus Disco are far behind us.
  20. Ron Carlivati is what Kathy Griffin would call a "bad gay."
  21. That would make more sense. Nate leaves practicing medicine to work for a medical conglomerate or some such, and then feels conflicted that he isn't doing the kind of work he was trained to do, even though he's still working in the medical field. Sigh. Could we just agree that WE, the posters of SON, know and could write this show better than the people who are being paid to?
  22. Josh is so talking out of his ass there. Neil would have wanted Nate to honor his mother's legacy and stay in medicine. In fact, if Neil (and Drucilla) were alive and still on the canvas, and if Olivia were still on the canvas as well, all three would rage at him for turning his back on his true calling. Heck, I wouldn't have been surprised if KSJ had ad-libbed a line about the medical profession (and Genoa City Memorial) needing more "bruthas" like Nate to ensure that POC receive the adequate medical care that they deserve! This was (and is) really the time for Y&R to introduce a Mark Zuckerberg- or Jack Dorsey-type, who blazes into GC with his apps and such and gives Victor, who'd represent the out-of-touch establishment or "old guard," a run for his proverbial money in the tech markets. GC might have started out small or medium-sized, but I think decades of development and expansion have likely turned it into a metropolis. At least, that's how I view it.
