  1. I'd like to think the resurrected Victor and Irene (and the massive history retcons they respectively brought with them) were all the masterwork of someone out to drive Viki insane.
  2. Well, at least no one's claiming they wore a Sarah Horton mask!
  3. In that case, Dr. Frasier Crane and his brother, Niles, have a ton of explaining to do, lol. Now we understand why he was always so desperate to get John back under his control.
  4. If she really was Irene Manning. (I'm not convinced.)
  5. True. All true. Again. Totally true.
  6. They'd have to work very hard to make her plain enough for Miss Celie, lol.
  7. Thanks, @slick jones!
  8. Agree! TP does no one any favors.
  9. Maybe. I thought I had read somewhere that Joe Mascolo had appeared on DAYS back in the '70's, long before he was Stefano DiMera.
  10. And it worked for John Aniston, too. Yes, I know. I still think it's a bad practice.
  11. Age-wise, Janet is in a tough position. On the one hand, she's too...mature to compete with the up-and-comers on the pop music scene; but, on the other hand, she's still too young to join Dionne, Gladys and Patti on the "casino circuit." Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing her return to series television. People still remember her from her "Good Times"/"Diff'rent Strokes"/"Fame" days. I think she could do quite well playing the mom on some black sitcom.
  12. Joan Rivers said it best: never forgive, and never apologize. Agree. I mean, did wypipo even know who Patti Labelle was before some black queen made her sweet potato pies popular on social media? God, that performance was so weak. He literally got his ass handed to him by a child dressed as a sister wife.
  13. I don't even know what purpose Laura's death (or "death") has served thus far. Exactly. Ken Corday keeps getting in his own show's way. He really needed to step away from running the show in any capacity a long time ago. He could still own it, of course, through Corday Productions, but just let others (who know what the hell they're doing) make the actual decisions.
  14. I decided a while ago to leave poor Brenda Dickson alone, because she clearly needs help. I don't doubt that there's at least some truths to her claims, but I wouldn't be surprised if what had happened to her BTS damaged her emotionally in the end.
  15. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: DAYS has irreparably destroyed viewers' trust. Audiences can no longer take seriously anything that happens on the show. To me, that's death.
  16. See, THAT is why I HATE soaps reusing actors for different, unrelated roles. It's hard enough to get jaded viewers to suspend disbelief and immerse themselves emotionally in the stories you tell. Recycling actors like that makes the task twenty times more difficult.
  17. Maybe Monica never got over the fact that he wasn't Rick's baby, lol.
  18. And family sitcoms, in particular, it seems. I mean, it wasn't as if she hired Rhea Perlman ("Cheers") to play Esther's long-lost sister or anything, lol.
  19. Wasn't Mary a very religious woman? If she was, then I would imagine Todd to be her favored child, just because he joined the priesthood.
  20. JT has built his entire career appropriating our (African-American) culture -- in music, in dance, in fashion, in everything. We ain't about to let up on him for anything.
  21. I dunno, his beard and haircut make him look a little too "HGTV host" to me.
  22. I'll put it another way: MTW and RC's Mikes were pretty much the same age that Wesley Eure's Mike was toward the end of his stint. (I don't count Paul Coufos, lol.) As far as SORASings so, Sarah's is certainly the strangest. It either de-ages Maggie, or it makes it seem as if Sarah was a change-in-life baby.
  23. Are you sure about that? Because, if memory serves me correct, Deborah Adair's Kate did her best to make like that part of her life (marrying Curtis/having Austin and Billie) never existed. To me, Lucas was her golden child.
