  1. Yeah, I'm glad we're done (at least for the time being) with "stories" about Sharon either screwing random guys or turning up at funerals in wedding dresses.
  2. Show me a TV series or movie that doesn't have at least a little BTS drama, and I'll show you a TV series or movie that never progressed beyond the page.
  3. Once again, I have to hand it to Doug Marland (and to Laurie Caso): when David Stewart died, in 1991, they brought back Annie, Betsy and Dee for his funeral (even if Betsy was played by someone who hadn't played the role before). I doubt Chris Goutman would have cared enough had he been EP.
  4. "Did you miss us?" Um, not really?
  5. Agree. With all of it. Good point! The only other time I can recall someone getting slapped at the Oscars was in "A Star Is Born" - and that was just a movie! When someone shows you who they are the first time....
  6. Jack: "But, Diane, you're supposed to be dead!" Diane: "Dead? I'm not dead!" Jack: "But you are! Nikki killed you, remember?" Diane: "Killed me? Nikki? Wait, are you talking about my twin sister, Debbie! So THAT's what happened to her! Gosh, I hadn't seen or heard from Deb in years! Anyways. What's good?"
  7. Hey, anything to make this show interesting again!
  8. "Nikki Kills People" is like the streaming series you're glad to see being revived, lol.
  9. Agree. There were definitely ways to bring back Keemo, reunite him with the rest of Abbotts AND still keep spinning suspenseful story from that. And will somebody please tell those idiots that Kay was not a businesswoman? Now, Jill living alone at the Chancellor Mansion, drunk off her ass 24/7 and screwing every stable boy in sight - THAT would be the legacy that Miss Chancellor would want to leave behind, lol.
  10. Chad Hitler will be fine, though, once he forces a few more college girls to sit on his lap.
  11. "I won't be fooled again." Yeah, whatever, Roger Daltrey.
  12. I think what pisses me off is that Will was (reportedly) ASKED to leave the ceremonies. Like, that right there displays the kind of privilege that gets afforded to celebrities (even AA celebrities) over non-celebrities. Because, if he'd been just plain, ordinary Will Smith from West Philadelphia, PA, he wouldn't have been ASKED to leave. He wouldn't have even been TOLD to leave. Security would have just escorted his ass off the stage, out of the building and into the back of a waiting police car.
  13. ZACH TINKER'S PIZZA HUT MANAGER 'STACHE 2022-2022 "He Will Never Be Forgotten"
  14. OMG, was it really over Kung Fu Barbie? Of all the shitty things to break up a partnership over, lol! IA about Sonny/Carly. They've been going in circles for the longest time. As a matter of fact, given everything the two (and viewers) have been through over the years, I think Carly has overreacted to Sonny hooking up with Nina. She's acting as if her entire world has been destroyed when she should be like, "Is it Tuesday again already?".
  15. I guess it doesn't surprise me (much) that Will took a night that was supposed to be about honoring the film industry and made it all about himself because, well, he always came across to me as that kind of jerk. I mean, I loved watching "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" when I was younger, but that had more to do with the talent surrounding Will than with Will himself. Also: maybe I'm wrong - I hope I'm wrong - but I feel like it'll be a long, long time before ABC allows another African-American to produce the Academy Awards. Of course, Will Packer had no way of knowing what was going to happen, but I worry that he'll receive some of the heat from the network or the Academy nevertheless.
  16. I don't know about MNF or "Home Improvement," but I know there was a time when "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" was practically the only thing ABC had going for it.
  17. Why do I feel like Y&R's writers LIVE to [!@#$%^&*] on Sharon?
  18. I do, too. Even if it's just for one scene - Sonny gets into a car, and guess who's in the seat next to his? - I don't see Sonny leaving PC, or GH leaving the airwaves, without that final button on the Sonny/Brenda saga. IIRC, didn't Guza and Pratt have a major falling-out that led directly to the latter leaving GH?
  19. Someone whom I met eons ago on the old GLBuzz message board (and who remains a FB friend to this day) once remarked that it had been her experience that ATWT and GL fans tend(ed) to be big classic literature fans - and I tend to think that's true as well. Not to denigrate fans of other soaps, but it does seem as if those who followed ATWT, GL and even AW, EON and SFT treasured good story over this-or-that character and couple. Did we have our favorites? Of course, but in most long-time fans' eyes, what mattered most was the writing. Then, the mid-'90's arrived. Suddenly, things like "endgame" and "supercouple," which hadn't really been part of the P&G soap viewing experience the way it had been elsewhere in daytime (save for the Bell soaps), became the only things most (newer) fans talked about. When then-HW's Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown remarked in the GL anniversary book that what they emphasized in every story was what was at stake for the LOVERS - and not for the FAMILIES, which had always been GL's (and most other P&G soaps') bread-and-butter - I knew times had changed.
  20. You really saw and felt the love between those two when Susan finally won her Emmy. I mean, the way they held each other and looked into each other's eyes before she went up on stage. I could only WISH to have a man love me the way Helmut loved her. RIP - and may God be with Susan and the rest of the family as they mourn this loss.
  21. I know people say that Democrats are terrible at messaging, but I'm starting to think that's a load of bull. It's not that the Democrats are bad at messaging, it's just that the media doesn't want to hear anything they have to say.
  22. It's like what Mama Khan always says: "God will take your worst and turn it into something better." Now, THIS is a slap:
  23. The Genoa City Slasher. I'm just saying.
