Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
So true. I haven't really read up on the charges, so I wonder exactly when all the illegal dealings happened. I know Joe didn't file his taxes in 2004, but were most of the dealings around 2008-2009? If so, it's sadly ironic, going to extremes to obtain a lifestyle for a show, and now that show is what's going to help dig you out of your own mess.

Next season's trip for the ladies will be a staycation in Teresa's basement! Glad that Bethenny is returning to NYC! Last-ditch effort for this series, indeed. I am loving the Atlanta trailer but I am really looking forward to Beverly Hills to see who's going to make the cast list. And I love all this blending of Housewives with soap operas. The soap genre needs a lil spotlight & kudos from the current torch holder of escapist television. Lisa V & Lisa R as buddies will be heavenly!

What kind of queen is she if she can't even get you to stick around and watch?

OMG yes, she was acting loopy as they questioned her as she was coming down the stairs. They should've known something was off about her, but they were either too involved in their own lives or just figured, "That's Claudia for ya!" The toxic paint was no doubt DAYS' (Reilly's) inspiration when Peter Blake did the same to Laura Horton.

I liked Claudia! I liked the way she was written in the first season (except for a couple freakout moments where she was just crazy in a hilarious way). I liked how they showed her as an outsider trying to handle fitting back in society after being locked up in the looney bin. Not only was she adjusting to society, but also adjusting to being a wife and mother again. But the first season had depth. I would have to say that she mostly wasn't needed once they wrote off Matthew and Lindsey. Although, we got that gem of a moment when we thought she had kidnapped Fallon's baby and the baby doll goes flying off the tall building and crashing below. Pamela Bellwood had some interesting teased up hair during some of those seasons in the mid-80's, as well as all that pastel makeup. Not a good choice, but hey, it was the 80's! Now, with Pamela Sue Martin leaving: Didn't she have some sort of condition where she was suffering from hair loss? She is definitely one I wish had popped back on television in later years. Loved her sultry voice and piercing eyes.

Agreed on both points. Love 'em or hate 'em, Tamra is needed on OC and Kyle is needed on BH. They stir the pot, but don't make it too dark & dirty. (Same with Ramona on NYC. An entire season of Carole, Heather, and Kristen all lovey-dovey together would be Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

Indeed. When you've got Goddess Eileen and Lucious Lisa ®, bland Yolemony may not be needed, not even as filler (plus we've got 2 originals back as friends!). We're already stuck with Drunk to help fill up the hour.

The View
I guess it's just an adjustment period. Granted, I don't watch the View anymore, but having 2 total newbies means half the ladies I don't really care about their opinions. I mean, who goes to Rosie Perez for in depth political commentary? I guess she'll prove me wrong one day. Or maybe she'll tell me the world is flat. Once upon a time, Barbara was the only known face sitting next to 4 total strangers.

It's funny how they told Jacqueline to wear long sleeves. This is going to start looking like Guiding Light, The Peapack Years.

I call B.S. on the scenes of Amber and her husband. When they were driving to the hospital for her check-up, you could clearly see in the background that the grass was green and the trees were in full bloom. It was Spring. They tried their best to cover it up, with the close-up shots and the attempt to change the hue to make it seem like a cold day in winter, but it was springtime with everything lush and beautiful outside. Whereas all the other footage shows everyone in the dead of winter, with a ton of snow everywhere. So I'm a little skeptical about Amber not going to Florida because of a breast cancer scare...

I liked him her.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think the problem is that in the grand scheme of things, nobody really *cares* about what's happening to these women on Jersey. The Twins and Amber are new and are so thirsty to camp it up for the cameras, Melissa is boring with nothing going on, Dina has nothing going on, and Teresa is a buzzkill with her impending court case. Yes, we feel for her (well, some of us), but each week it's the same thing. There's nothing really juicy to get invested in this year.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I saw this quote in that link: "Get ready because this season is going to be the Brandi sh** show.” Oh joy. I'm over her.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well they could've just held off on OC's premiere and had NYC take the Monday timeslot after BH's end in April. Then premiere OC in July and have it run til BH returns in November. It's weird that they had 3 running simultaneously and now just have one. And a weak one at that. No wonder they scrambled to amp up the second half of the season.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Good grief, that was ridiculous. Amber tries waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard. Did everyone see the Manzo'd With Children promo, coming in early October on Sundays after Jersey? I wonder if it'll be an hour or half-hour and how long it'll run. Stuff like that where it focuses on just one family should only be a half-hour.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm surprised they're bringing Kristen back for another season on NYC. She didn't fit in well at all, at least not onscreen. It seems she's maintained a friendship with Carole, Heather, and LuAnn since taping. Still, she's about as interesting to me as Porsha.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NYC needs brand recognition. If Ramona is being demoted, and I hope she isn't, I would think they would be smart enough to heavily feature her, just like LuAnn this past season. Who knows what's really going on, as I've heard other reports that LuAnn is definitely back as a full-time housewife next season. If it's a matter of money, then I can see why they want to downgrade Lu and Ramona. Their ratings don't equate to large salaries, unfortunately. Heather and Carole are great supporting ladies, but they're not the leaders. They're not the faces people are coming to see. They're not the Lisa Vanderpump, NeNe Leakes, Vicki Gunvalson of NYC; they're the Cynthia Baileys, Jacqueline Lauritas, and Taylor Armstrongs. They need Jill back for face & name recognition. Bethenny, too, as a Special Guest Star, a la Heather Locklear. For Alex, it'd be fun if they picked up where they left off with her and LuAnn. Their icy conversation at the end of Season Four was one of the best moments ever on Housewives, IMO. Cat, I agree about OC. I would vote it MVP this year, too, even over Atlanta. I liked this season of NYC, but it felt like a bunch of "Lost Footage" episodes pieced together to create a season. There wasn't a throughline from start to finish, other than everyone's distain towards Aviva.... but she barely made it in half the episodes and was removed from the opening theme twice!- The View
The View always needs a resident dummy whose opinion doesn't really matter...- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I brought it up, but, it's just not that interesting. It all just looks too desperate, on the part of the producers, to dig up any and all scandals of the past for these new ladies. I thoroughly enjoyed the OC reunion. I loved Vicki standing up to Tamra, and Shannon holding her own against Heather & Tamra. Shannon looks like she's about to break, but she doesn't, and I love that. You'd think Tamra would trample her, but Shannon holds her own. You could tell that Lizzie was traumatized over the whole vile bitterness from Tamra, and wanted to hightail it off that stage. I don't think she'll be back next season, but I hope she changes her mind. I think she could really bring it next year, if she really wanted to. I'm all about the Shannon/Vicki/Lizzie side of the sofa, but overall, I think these 5 ladies work well together because there's a lot of back 'n forth and give 'n take in who's getting along with whom. I know you all want Jeana back, as does my hubby, so I say bring her back and keep these 5 for next year.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
