  1. What an adorable way of putting it! So, so true.
  2. She's good for stirring the pot and then walking away. No need to hold any diamonds as a full-time 'Wife.
  3. So with the recent dump of some 20 inches of snow this past week, I opted to stay home and veg out on Melrose reruns instead of trying to be productive. To compare the show from its initial episodes, to the final episodes of season 1, to the start of season 2, and then jump to the end of season 3 (yeah, I was all over the place) was a fun little walk down Melrose memory lane. I think the end of season 1 / early season 2 was an excellent balance of continuing dramatic stories along with character development, interaction, and introspection. For instance, we really felt the pain Jane was going through with the loss of her marriage. In addition to the feelings of failure and the loss of building a potential family, they focused on little details, like having to buy "dinner for ones," or the fact that this was the first time she'd ever be living alone. We saw her purge all of Michael's belongings and plan a time for him to gather his stuff, we saw her cry on Sydney's shoulder, and discuss how their parents are worried about her, etc. Compare that to the constant musical chairs of people moving in and out of each others apartments like it was a college dorm, and the fast 'n easy divorces in later years. Allison Parker is literally a different character from season 1 to season 3. I can't blame Billy for dropping her. I didn't even get to season 4 or 5, but perhaps I'll do that next week if the weather sucks again. Season 3 was a roller coaster of pure Melrose camp at its finest, but looking back, I really prefer the balance they had in the second half of season one and throughout season two. Just keepin' this thread alive. I'm sure I've already said all this stuff before

I love Rosie O'Donnell, but I don't think she'll have a successful talk show platform again. Her 1996-2002 heyday was before the Queen of Nice facade faded. Whatever behind-the-scenes drama there may have been back in the day was not reported. Meanwhile, there were reports of constant drama with her short-lived Chicago talk show on OWN, and of course there's The View. I just don't think it's meant to be again, even though I do enjoy her viewpoint and the way she articulates her opinion. The View lost its relevancy long ago, and their constant push at trying to be at the cutting edge at political topics is a drain. Whenever I do watch (which isn't often), I just sigh when they start bringing up the latest news in Washington. I'm sorry, but I don't care what Rosie Perez thinks.
  5. Lisa V is hardly desperate to find others to gab about Brandi. She honestly couldn't care less about her. Brandi's just a castmate that she has to put up with while filming group scenes. Once again, it's the name of the game. Talk about your castmates while the cameras are rolling. Vanderpump doesn't give a flying f#k about Glanville. Lisa V also has the advantage that her own scenes at home are interesting enough without polluting it with trash talk about others. From her Von Trapp family of puppies to her son to her lavish lifestyle overall, it's interesting to watch. Can't say the same for others who don't even have a couch in their house to sleep on sit in.
  6. Claudia is talking about NeNe onscreen currently because of what just went down in Puerto Rico. Before that, nada. That's what happens. An event happens. And then you spend an episode or two talking about it, rehashing it, filling in people who weren't there on what went down. Whose names were mentioned during NeNe and Gregg's car ride? Were they talking about her glam baby? No. Does NeNe talk about her glam baby ad nauseum on WWHL? No. She talks about her cast mates. It's the name of the game. Her "Cyst and Deceased" letter (OMG I just love how those OC Wives butcher the English language) is lame. She is the biggest trash talker of 'em all. Just rewatch her 11 minute verbal attack on Kim on that infamous WWHL After Show. If only Bravo would release an extended director's cut of NeNe vs. Claudia, like they did with The Dinner Party from Hell (BH) and The Last Supper (NJ). Let's see how it *really* went down.
  7. I'd gladly welcome her back. I'm not sure she'd want to, after the beating she got on social media that last time 'round.
  8. Kyle is being smart at redeeming herself this season. She got back on the right team instead of going against the heavy hitter. It's better to be Lisa V's sidekick than her enemy. Besides, even Kyle could only put up with Brandi's crass, embarrassing antics for so long. Brandi is a petty child in a giraffe's body.
  9. Aw bummer. Guess I don't have it then. Womp, womp... Not that I don't have it on DVD, but it's fun to catch & record it on TV, ya know?
  10. I have NO idea what POP channel is, but I'll certainly look to see if I have it!
  11. The reunion on Home & Family was delightfully awkward. I can't imagine sitting through that show as a guest. I certainly couldn't do it as a viewer. It's like a throwback to early 90's talk shows. The female co-host in particular is just dreadful. It was nice to see the cast. Pamela Bellwood seems to have trouble stating what it is she wants to say, but maybe she just can't remember all the plot twists and turns from 30 years ago. The dreadful co-host was trying to squeeze out some good dish from the actors regarding the baby-stealing storyline, which culminated with the doll flying off the building rooftop and shattering on the ground. But no one took the bait. Maybe they just didn't understand what she was referring to. Then, you had both Pamelas participating in various segments that had nothing to do with Dynasty. It was weird how Bellwood finally had to cut out during the final half-hour. Re: The cast photo. Bo Hopkins is scary. The way Joan, Stephanie, and Leann look, you can tell they're the only ones doing (or trying to do) active work on camera. Is Kathleen Beller related to Mary Page Keller?
  12. I did my best to find something from season 4. That's when she thought her boobs were swelling
  13. Good. Even if she ends up as just a friend, Lizzie can still ruffle Tamra's feathers a bit. I'd love to hear the dirt/gossip about what team Eddie plays for. I'd heard snippets before, but never knew the details (in a way similar to how we hear inside dirt about the Atlanta ladies). Beverly Hills was all sorts of good, and they deserve their high ratings. Rinna continues to bring it and be honest and blunt, yet eloquent about it. Eileen and Lisa V becoming chummy is a great thing (watch out for the attacking swans!), along with Eileen and Rinna's assessment of Brandi's need for attention and her dependence on the bottle. Loved the Vanderpumps' lineup of puppies! Oh, to be reincarnated as a dog in the Vanderpump family!
  14. I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but damn! That's lame. We hear a gunshot at the beginning of episode one, and we find out episode 4? Good grief. Is Bootleg Sally finally on? Meanwhile, that poor professor is STILL running around the park with a knife lodged all the way into his shoulder....
  15. Can you blame him? I'd be pouncing on that too
  16. This is why I am loving Lisa Rinna on this show. She says what the audience is thinking (and what the other housewives are thinking, but don't say). You could tell right off the bat she knew something was off with Kim, and as the car ride progressed, Lisa got more worried and more uncomfortable. She looked like she wanted to jump out of the crazy bus at the next stop light! She honestly reminds me of Bethenny Frankel in a way, the way Bethenny was the Greek chorus as the have-not amongst all "the haves" in the NYC clique, explaining New York society ways to the audience. Lisa comes in to all the crazy as an outsider who is very aware of the situation she's getting herself into, but is now seeing the crazy firsthand and doesn't hold back on her reactions. On one hand, I don't think Kyle handled the situation in a way that benefitted herself. She went with Kim into the bathroom and she tried her hardest to have a conversation through whispers in hopes that the microphones wouldn't pick up what they were saying. Kyle whispered; Kim talked, in her usual drugged stupor. On the other hand, Kyle has been down this road before. She should have picked up on the cues right away. Her reaction was a tad bit delayed. How nice of Brandi to continue shouting and being loudly obnoxious during the poker game, even after Eileen mentioned that their younger son was upstairs sleeping.
  17. Yeah, she seemed pretty pissed by the end of the reunion. Didn't she bow out on doing a cast photo at the end? And, I remember that awkward WWHL with her on. I couldn't even watch it all. It was just uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she was the one who declined doing another year.
  18. Agreed about Porsha. Especially with all her misplaced confidence and attitude she's sporting this season. Makes a dumb pretty girl look very, very ugly. Agreed, too, Cat. Tamra is a cat with nine lives. Which means she'll still have one season left after season 10. This past season's OC was probably the most entertaining for me, since I'm usually not big into the OC in general. But they really delivered this year, and their inclusion of new girl Shannon was flawless!

Agreed. Nice to see there's still growth and potential for network daytime talk shows.
  20. No Lizzie? No surprise, but I'll miss her. Just glad that Shannon is back, along with the rest of the old tired true gang
  21. I just wanna know how many thousands of dollars the rent of those NYC apartments are for Yolemony's kids.
  22. Ironic that Nene has the audacity to call Claudia a half-breed when she's been trying to pull off our founding father's powdered wigs look for years.
  23. Nene and Phaedra were the clear losers in these fights. Nasty bitter butts who sucked the energy out of the room. Nene is so pressed another girl is gonna snatch her crown as Queen Bee. Phaedra is just a sloppy hater who's mad that everyone else is prettier.
