Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Which is also why people like Lisa Rinna feel the need to bring up the topic of alcoholism with multiple people in different filmings. In Housewivesland, there's an action, there's a reaction, and then there's rehash, rehash, rehash. At least Lisa's concern comes from a genuine and genuinely concerned place. I just had a flashback to Carlton's issue with Kyle: "I felt you didn't come from a genuine place of interest." Good God, Eileen and Rinna are such an upgrade from last year's newbies

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed. Five seasons is more than enough. Nothing about this show is helpful to her except giving her more money to run to the liquor store or spot a $100 to someone with a plethora of prescription drugs in their medicine cabinet. For her own sake, she needs off this show.

Preach! Kim is an awful, awful woman and I don't blame Kyle for giving up. My partner and I were discussing this afterwards, and we came to the conclusion and this has continued to be so ugly between the Richards sisters these past 5 years because Kyle dared to reveal the big family secret in season one --- that Kim is an unstable lush who everyone has been coddling and picking up after for YEARS. I'm sure Kathy doesn't appreciate that Kyle allowed that tidbit to air on camera because that has now been sloppy Kimmy's storyline since. Kim's nastiness to Eileen is just unnecessary. Calling her "that thing sitting over there" afterwards, and the blow-up at the table.... Oh, I cannot wait for Eileen's intelligent, icy retort at the reunion. After five long seasons, Kim Richards needs a verbal beat down. Even Kyle admitted on the phone on WWHL last night that she and Kim hadn't seen each other in FOUR MONTHS before filming the reunion. Kyle may play the victim, but I think this millstone around her neck known as Kim finally needs to be taken off and the old mule can go at it alone. Meanwhile, Brandi's all butthurt because the ladies are putting on an innocent persona for the sake of the cameras (and their families) by acting coy at the sight of pot/weed/hash/etc. Whatevs... Apparently, there's a big bombshell that comes out near the end of the reunion. Kyle alluded to something on her WWHL phone call.... I'm going to predict that Lisa Rinna admits that there's been some infidelity in her marriage with Harry, but I could be wrong.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sigh.... season 3 of ATL. That's when I originally started watching and fell in love with NeNe. *That's* the NeNe I knew and loved. This current incarnation of her for the past couple of years is mostly no fun at all. Have fun with the season 4 reunion! It's awesome! I'd say ATL season 4, NYC season 3, and NJ season 2 are the three all-time best Housewives reunions. No sympathy here for Rambles Richards. I really hope she doesn't get another free pass / get out of rehab free card again at this reunion, but we'll see....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
*So* looking forward to this! Great trailer! EIGHT women though? Eight official castmembers? Wow, that's a new record, yes? All the more reason why someone like Kristen should be downgraded. It's not like anyone would miss her. No one's gonna be up Andy's ass begging for her to return to help recapture the glory year of season 6. She was barely in the trailer (surprisingly, neither was Heather). I'm excited to see a newly single Ramona, and seeing Bethenny dishing it to the ladies who have joined since she left. The Queen of quick wit has returned!! Wow, I totally did not see the Cynthia Watros resemblance with the new girl when I watched the trailer! Looking back now, it's kinda like Cynthia Watros circa "Lost" DUI mugshot with those eyes.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
That secret room became the spot where Dr. Rolf was doing all his evil-doings in the late 90's, and Stefano would regularly frequent the secret lair. That's where the machine gizmos and gadgets were that got the satellite going and reactivated Hope's computer chip in her head. Good grief, just reading that last sentence... it's amazing how DAYS has evolved from its supernatural, wacky, unrealistic 90's heyday. Nowadays, when you have evil henchmen, there's all these reality-based background checks to find them, like the current doctor's tax returns that Nicole was looking at, and the paper trail of Dr. Chyka drugging Eric. Before, you had henchmen and people on the DiMera payroll, and everyday real-life things like taxes were NEVER mentioned or thought of (granted, I would imagine DiMera money would be under the table).

Revenge: Discussion Thread
They lost me this season. Revenge is the perfect example of these high stakes dramas on [network] TV nowadays, where the main mystery at the onset of the series should be wrapped up and resolved within 1-2 seasons and the show should end altogether.

Cat calling Kim a tit made me chuckle Kim is dangerous. She's dangerous to herself and she's dangerous to those around her because she's excellent at deflecting and turning blame on others and getting others all riled up and fighting each other instead of addressing the true villain in the room. The fact that they have excused her behavior for the majority of the past 5 seasons is dangerous, because she'll continue being her destructive self until the Bravo checks stop coming in. And then what? I can just bet Kyle would stop giving a damn, knowing their relationship wasn't being broadcast for scrutiny on TV. I'm sure Lisa V feels vindicated re: Paris incident because the proverbial elephant in the room is being called out to the forefront (similar to season 2 when Taylor's claims of Russell's abuse finally came out on camera).

Oh DaytimeFan, I do so enjoy your write-ups of RHOBH because I always agree 100% and I always love a Melrose or Dynasty reference

Boy, that random outburst by Kim to Lisa R was weird. And on the plane, too, where the camera quality is more gritty and you could tell by Lips' face that she was not expecting this but still genuinely cared. Loved that expression on her face when she was asking Kim, "Where is this anger coming from?" No fake drama for the cameras; it was real. Lips was also fun, hilarious and joyful on WWHL. What a great sport!

I'm looking forward to NYC returning (surprise, surprise!) because there are consistent rumors that Bethenny's pulling the diva card, getting paid the most, yet showing up for the least amount of group functions. Plus, she insists on promoting her line of products at each & every chance. Even though she and Ramona are good friends, and she and LuAnn put their past differences aside, I can see them (along with the other ladies) showing aggravation and annoyance with Bethenny onscreen as a result of the behind-the-scenes politics.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm glad Lisa R is calling Kim out and not backing down. The last time someone (Lisa V in Paris when Kim was wackadoodledoo on the balcony) mentioned Kim slipping, it was swept under the rug. It's gotta be strange having to film with these ladies for hours & hours and there's something apparently off about the "sober" recovering addict and everyone smiles and pretends the pink elephant isn't in the room. Lisa R is a newbie who's not playing that game and isn't ashamed to say what's what.

The View
Did anyone else watch Rosie's show on OWN? They actually tried that similar approach at the tail end. No audience, no band, no koosh balls, nada. Just a one-on-one interview on an empty stage with a backdrop that looked like a Kindergarten classroom. I wanted it to succeed, but everything went wrong.

She's good for stirring the pot and then walking away. No need to hold any diamonds as a full-time 'Wife.

Melrose Place
So with the recent dump of some 20 inches of snow this past week, I opted to stay home and veg out on Melrose reruns instead of trying to be productive. To compare the show from its initial episodes, to the final episodes of season 1, to the start of season 2, and then jump to the end of season 3 (yeah, I was all over the place) was a fun little walk down Melrose memory lane. I think the end of season 1 / early season 2 was an excellent balance of continuing dramatic stories along with character development, interaction, and introspection. For instance, we really felt the pain Jane was going through with the loss of her marriage. In addition to the feelings of failure and the loss of building a potential family, they focused on little details, like having to buy "dinner for ones," or the fact that this was the first time she'd ever be living alone. We saw her purge all of Michael's belongings and plan a time for him to gather his stuff, we saw her cry on Sydney's shoulder, and discuss how their parents are worried about her, etc. Compare that to the constant musical chairs of people moving in and out of each others apartments like it was a college dorm, and the fast 'n easy divorces in later years. Allison Parker is literally a different character from season 1 to season 3. I can't blame Billy for dropping her. I didn't even get to season 4 or 5, but perhaps I'll do that next week if the weather sucks again. Season 3 was a roller coaster of pure Melrose camp at its finest, but looking back, I really prefer the balance they had in the second half of season one and throughout season two. Just keepin' this thread alive. I'm sure I've already said all this stuff before

The View
I love Rosie O'Donnell, but I don't think she'll have a successful talk show platform again. Her 1996-2002 heyday was before the Queen of Nice facade faded. Whatever behind-the-scenes drama there may have been back in the day was not reported. Meanwhile, there were reports of constant drama with her short-lived Chicago talk show on OWN, and of course there's The View. I just don't think it's meant to be again, even though I do enjoy her viewpoint and the way she articulates her opinion. The View lost its relevancy long ago, and their constant push at trying to be at the cutting edge at political topics is a drain. Whenever I do watch (which isn't often), I just sigh when they start bringing up the latest news in Washington. I'm sorry, but I don't care what Rosie Perez thinks.

Lisa V is hardly desperate to find others to gab about Brandi. She honestly couldn't care less about her. Brandi's just a castmate that she has to put up with while filming group scenes. Once again, it's the name of the game. Talk about your castmates while the cameras are rolling. Vanderpump doesn't give a flying f#k about Glanville. Lisa V also has the advantage that her own scenes at home are interesting enough without polluting it with trash talk about others. From her Von Trapp family of puppies to her son to her lavish lifestyle overall, it's interesting to watch. Can't say the same for others who don't even have a couch in their house to sleep on sit in.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Claudia is talking about NeNe onscreen currently because of what just went down in Puerto Rico. Before that, nada. That's what happens. An event happens. And then you spend an episode or two talking about it, rehashing it, filling in people who weren't there on what went down. Whose names were mentioned during NeNe and Gregg's car ride? Were they talking about her glam baby? No. Does NeNe talk about her glam baby ad nauseum on WWHL? No. She talks about her cast mates. It's the name of the game. Her "Cyst and Deceased" letter (OMG I just love how those OC Wives butcher the English language) is lame. She is the biggest trash talker of 'em all. Just rewatch her 11 minute verbal attack on Kim on that infamous WWHL After Show. If only Bravo would release an extended director's cut of NeNe vs. Claudia, like they did with The Dinner Party from Hell (BH) and The Last Supper (NJ). Let's see how it *really* went down.

I'd gladly welcome her back. I'm not sure she'd want to, after the beating she got on social media that last time 'round.

Kyle is being smart at redeeming herself this season. She got back on the right team instead of going against the heavy hitter. It's better to be Lisa V's sidekick than her enemy. Besides, even Kyle could only put up with Brandi's crass, embarrassing antics for so long. Brandi is a petty child in a giraffe's body.
