  1. I wonder if they switch off between filming their talking heads in front of a green screen and filming in their actual homes? It used to be very apparent and clear they were filming in their actual home, but nowadays it varies.
  2. This show is back? Dang, hubby and I fell behind last seasons... never got around to watching the last 7 episodes of the previous season before we switched cable providers and the saved episodes went bye-bye. Never bothered catching up on demand. Oh well.
  3. Yes, that implant looked like it was taking on a life of its own. I'm finding myself really enjoying Erika. She's a different kinda chick. Real direct and honest. No BS. She was the exact same way on WWHL and she reports that her Housewives experience thus far has been nothing but positive. Still interested in seeing how/if she's integrated with the existing castmembers.
  4. Lisa V and the gang speaking about Kim Richards on camera seems very producer-coaxed. Kyle initially had no problem blabbing about her off-screen sister(s) until the dirt just got worse and worse, and there's no way to defend or rationalize what Rambles is doing.
  5. Thirsty beavers, all of 'em. I'm not impressed with Sclemiel, Schlemazel, Hasenpfeffer Incorporated. Carmen was in the argument for no good reason. Don Juanita always seems like an angry bitter queen who's pissed because he's unattractive. Porsha can go three seasons ago. I'm not feeling the argument or anyone involved. Phaedra is just looking worse and worse with each passing episode, both literally and figuratively. And yes, there's something.... slow... about Kenya's father. I wonder if he had a stroke at some point? No-show for Sheree. It's too bad there isn't enough room in her studio apartment for the cameras and cameramen to film.
  6. I hope RHOBH isn't going to become a hybrid of Season Four and OC's last season. I love the Lisa-Lips-Eileen-Kyle quadrangle but the outside influences of Yolanda's disease du jour (and Kim's offscreen trainwreck known as her life) are growing stale fast. I can see Lisa V taking Erika under her wing as the next outspoken younger friend. The difference is, Erika is her own strong (and wealthy) person and isn't looking for a handout like Brandi.
  7. So, when Juicy Joe leaves for prison, I wonder if four years later, he'll be getting out as a single man...?
  8. I echo the sentiments that Kim's waffling opinion makes no sense. She left due to safety reasons, allegedly, and was plopped right next to Kandi when Kandi was harassed by the guy.... Yet this was all an instigation by Kenya? Mmkay, Tootie. The Ghost of Tammy standing at the door was hilariously creepy. I'm over Phaedra's endless talking head one-liners. She is NOT the go-to person as the voice of reason. And her "everybody knows" schtick went stale at least two seasons ago. She's not witty like a Lisa Vanderpump. We know from experience that Sheree sides with the "popular group" without having any substantial opinion of her own. Three years older, but none the wiser.
  9. Sets matter. Got that, DAYS?
  10. Beverly Hills was a fun episode. I love the dynamic between Lisa V, Lisa R, Eileen, and Kyle. So great to see the two tentpoles and the two newbies hit it off and become the strong unit of friends on this show. Taylor looked like her old self on this episode, but on the special they had a few weeks back where the reminisced about season one, she looked terrible. Like a combination of bad work and lots of drinking. She may not be a heavy drinker now, but her face looked like it. The Lisa/Lisa trip was adorable and silly humorous, but I wouldn't have taken the horse either. They already got a huge brood of puppies at home. Erika is interesting. I kinda like her take on things, and I gotta respect that she acknowledges people always questioning if she's a gold-digger. Not sure if she'll fit in well with the group of Beverly Hills ladies and soap vets, but we'll see. Gotta google her "Erika Jane" persona. The name sounds familiar.
  11. Boy, that adorable gay couple sure are hungry!
  12. The priest was bringing out the dormant devil from inside of her. I forget the exact explanation, but I guess when a person has been possessed, there's still a dormant demon dwelling deep inside. Or some such nonsense. Anyhow, they toyed with the idea of Marlena being repossessed for about two episodes, complete with Marlena having a nightmare of being repossessed in her hospital room, her eyes glowing yellow, vomiting pea soup across the room at John, flying out of her bed (literally!) and strangling John as she continued levitating in the air. Crazy stuff.
  13. Alex and Simon now live Down Under, but I sure would welcome Jill's skanky ass back to NYC. I love to hate her... and I like her family. It's a divide in my household: I think Ford Focus is as fault; hubby blames Cynthia. Cynthia is definitely taking her anger about Peter out on the girls, but Dodge Omni is still in the wrong. I'm amazed this girl has lasted four seasons, and was even brought back full-time after being demoted, a la LuAnn.
  14. So glad to have the Beverly Hills bitches back! (Oops, no offense, Cynthia!) Lisa V wins for best new tag line!! Rinna and Eileen tie for 2nd. Kyle's is too wordy. Funny that only one of the new ladies was included in the opening, yet was not featured in the show at all. I actually think the five ladies with lots of friends and supporting characters (all the former housewives popping in, plus Faye!) would be enough. Two new blonde ladies, one with a scary face, will hopefully not be another Joyce/Carlton. They really struck gold with the soap veterans joining last year. They mix in so well with Lisa V and Kyle. Say what you will about Kyle, but she and Vanderpump are the tentpole characters of this franchise and I love it when they're getting along. YoLemony.... The whole thing is sad with her and David. Not surprised, but thought it would happen a couple years later. As for the birthday dinner, I also thought it was a little too "oh woe is me" to make all the effort to come, but purposely wear no makeup.
  15. I like the idea of casting around the potential cliques, but that's when you get into dangerous territory of the show getting too dark. The show finally got some buzz this season, but the subject matter itself is dark (and at this point, all talked out). Tamra is like a cockroach that you just can't kill. I thought we'd get a juicy downfall last season, but that petered out quickly. Shannon, whom I really enjoyed her first season, needs to take out whatever is still stuck up her fanny.
  16. It also said Melissa Gorga may NOT return while Jacqueline WILL return. Hmm.... I suppose a familiar face will be nice (or whatever incarnation her face now looks like), and we'll see the fractured friendship of Teresa and Jacqueline repaired?
  17. Yeah but Marlo is honest about her criminal/sketchy past. Faye, on the other hand, isn't. She also thought it was cute to capitalize on her friend's death with a tawdry tell all so.... Welcome home, Faye! You've been missed
  18. http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/lisa-rinna-kim-richards-real-housewives-beverly-hills-finale/ Kim will be back for the finale. The site says RHOBH returns beginning December 1st. I'm ready for Lisa, Lisa & Eileen.
  19. There's a new Jackson sister
  20. I don't suppose The Reunion is included with the Season Nine DVD? (Which reminds me, weren't there multiple reunion specials of Dallas throughout the 90's?) PopTV stopped airing Dynasty a few weeks ago when they brought on Dawson's Creek, but they assure it via Twitter that it will be returning. They keep mum when I ask about Melrose Place though...
  21. The "Teresa Checks In" three-parter was a nice lil update on the favorite family of New Jersey (cuz that title does NOT belong to the Manzos). Even though Teresa is guilty as sin, you can't help but feel sorry for her and her four "daugherters." And yes, Melissa gets zero empathy from me, too. She'll say anything for camera time. I'm not sure what we'll have to look forward to once Teresa gets out of the slammer. We'll have Teresa, Melissa (unfortunately), Rosie would probably get more airtime than straight sis Kathy, Jacqueline has no reason to return, and Caroline doesn't want to return. Would they raid Dunkin' Donuts for their latest new castmembers?
  22. Bye Kristen! She's lucky she lasted two seasons. At least with these talks of Kristen and Heather not returning "next season," it gives us hope that there will be a next season.
  23. Once again, the term "friend" is used loosely, since her only friend is in rehab and off the show. Meanwhile, WHEN are our beloved Beverly Hills bitches returning? I can't wait to see these glossy glam ladies again! On a similar topic, which Real Housewives do you find to be the most consistently entertaining? Despite their weak season 4, I think Beverly Hills is the most consistently entertaining of them all. I always look forward to them returning, and they almost always have this high-glam production value that is a step above the others. Atlanta still has great moments, but I feel like the original spark of the series dimmed after season 4.
  24. Agreed. Meghan, Porsha, even NYC's Kristen. When they compare their castmembers to crazy drunk aunts or old bitter mothers, you know the gap is too huge.
