When I look at the intensity and level of hate at those Trump rallies for anything that isn't white & Christian, I thank heaven above that I live in a tolerant city like Chicago (yes, the very city that erupted in chaos last Friday, which I drove past on my way home from work). It is truly scary how much intolerance, ignorance, and bigotry there is out there. Yes, the ignorance can be found anywhere, but at least in larger cities, those with common sense and tolerance outweigh the a**holes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
ATL: I liked the way they closed out the season. I actually was wishing it'd be an extended episode because I felt there was a lot they could've squeezed out of the holiday party. I wonder if there was a gap between filming this party versus the rest of the season. It almost seems like the party and scenes shown last night was shot weeks after everything else so they can all pontificate on the developments of the past season. Apparently, one of the little women playing an elf at the party is part of another Atlanta-based reality show, so the hubby says. They showed NeNe recognizing her. Side note: When they do the freeze-frame shots at the end with the updates, they ought to give us viewers a couple more seconds to actually read them. You have to prep yourself to speed-read when those pop up. Potomac: After last night's eppy, I think hubby and I are in agreement to take this off the DVR. These ladies are just too silly and stupid to continue wasting our time on. The little insipid arguments would be more welcome if this were a cast I was already invested in and actually cared about, but since they're brand new and already feeding us trivial garbage, it's just not worth it. They're either unlikeable (CChhaarriissee....eww, Katie, Karen, and now Gizelle, sorry boo) or totally forgettable (Robyn, young bush-haired girl with creepy old man for husband).

OMG YES. Everyone's reactions were priceless. I do think Aviva came off as she had planned it/staged it, but still... what a way to end the season! Glad to see others reacted the same way I did to this chit! LMAO! Oh yes, this past year Aviva admitted she planned it beforehand and mentioned it to producers. I think LuAnn's reaction was my favorite when she starts laughing hysterically.

Poor Hillary, her voice is so scratchy and strained from all this endless talk, day in and day out. Random question: Do the Republican candidates take Sundays off for a day of rest? Just curious....

Wow, they all look great! Except for Porsha and Sheree. I don't like that choppy, wind-blown look. Doesn't look good on either of them. I'm so glad NeNe retired that clown hair, and Kandi is looking fabulous post-baby!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
She looks like she could be Kate Mansi's (Abigail, DAYS) older sister/mother. Playing catchup on Housewives this week; only up to finishing ATL. Phaedra's two adorable and well-behaved sons are her redeeming qualities, for sure. This episode definitely felt like exactly what it is: the season winding down. For some reason, I flashed back to Luann vs. Alex and the "Herman Munster" shoes confrontation S4 of NYC, as that season was coming to a close. Although not a fantastic episode by itself, it feels right that next week is the season finale. Kenya better hold onto that fine specimen. Especially after that flashback to her first season boyfriend, this guy is dedicated, fine as hell, and wants to treat her right. Plus, he wants babies NOW. Clearly, he knows what he's doing as a personal trainer, so although he's more "blue collar" than a rich daddy, she should hold on. Time is ticking..... Any tea on the reunion? It was already filmed, yes?

Thanks, boo. When does season 8 start? Maybe I have enough time to catch up and then.. ahem... watch via Cat's way as it airs. Wednesday, April 6th. I don't have high hopes for ratings on a Wednesday, and evidently neither does Bravo? It seems Sunday/Monday/Tuesday are their usual winning days for 'Wives.

Ooooooh, sounds great. I like LuAnn (mostly) and have found her great so far in the first half of Season 6. I cannot wait for the legendary stuff! I wish I could join you all for season 8, believe me, I do. I don't do TV/Cable, so I watch through Hulu, whenever they post the episodes. They have yet to post season 7! However, maybe I can get the episodes online, as long as I don't have to download anything. shhhhh Hidden Content OMG, I forgot how many now-classic Housewives lines are in Season 7! YRBB, enjoy! LuAnn finally lets her d*ck swing like she doesn't care. Her "countess" schtick is tossed aside and we get to see the real her.

Fuller House
Jeff Franklin the creator of both said he pitched Fuller House to networks 8 years ago and none were interested. I bet they're kicking themselves now EIGHT years ago? Our generation wasn't quite ready to revisit the 90's just yet. Now it's all the rage. Strange it didn't get picked up by ABC. They could use the buzz, and they have no problem with running limited series these days.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Can't wait for NY! I know we've already discussed the "housewife" criteria, but it is ironic how the only two ladies who were actually married (Heather, Kristen) are out, and the rest are single/dating. Crazy how it's the norm right now to have 3 Housewives shows running concurrently. Season 6 was very sloppy with their opening. Taking Aviva in and out all the time, then during the reunion episodes, their commercial bumpers had LuAnn back and Kristen gone (Season 5's line-up).

I get capitalizing on the show during its highpoint, but I never saw Adam and Kirby as star-crossed lovers, considering he raped her and she generally reviled him.

MTV: RuPaul's Drag Race
Thanks for the reminder! This show goes through highs and lows, but I'm actually glad they have the capability to do so, since so many reality/competition shows get progressively more stale and uninteresting. I absolutely loved season 6 with Bianco Del Rio and the rest of the cast had a great chemistry together. Courtney Act makes an amazing woman and I want him to pop up on Bold & Beautiful as a friend of Maya's I wasn't thrilled with last season's winner but the talent pool that season was kinda shallow to begin with. I was actually pulling for Ginger Minj but figured they wouldn't let yet another quirky one win.

Kasich is my governor. Do not be fooled. The difference is that Kasich doesn't say horrible things. Instead he just quietly does them. Unfortunately I've all but given up on the media ever taking a hard look at this zealot and seeing the damage he's done to Ohio. He and his cronies decided to rig the data on failing charter schools in order to keep the cash grab going. Ohio's school rankings have plummeted under him. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/09/03/ohio-department-education-records-release.html He's an utter zealot when it comes to reproductive rights. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/07/wolf-sheeps-clothing-gov-kasichs-reproductive-rights-record He's jumped on the defund Planned Parenthood bandwagon. He's also cut funding for domestic violence programs and for programs to reduce infant mortality even though Ohio has one of the worst infant mortality rates in the country. (45 out of 50) He signed a bill that cut funding for rape crisis centers if they even mention abortion. He's stacked the state medical board with his right to life cronies even though many of them have no medical experience. Also under his administration, Ohio remains at the bottom of job creation rates. http://www.cleveland.com/opinion/index.ssf/2014/01/dismal_numbers_on_ohio_job_gro.html Thanks for the insight. Clearly I haven't done my full research on him, but with the poll numbers, it seems it's only a matter of time before he bows out anyhow. Lord Jesus, which devil is less evil? Which one will win?

I wasn't a fan of Kirby either. Having finally seen The Reunion miniseries this past weekend, I'm surprised they chose her as (Faux)Adam's endgame. All in all, it's funny how all the Carrington children were recast at some point, even Adam with the reunion. I wonder if at the time they were making plans for the reunion, they might've entertained the idea of bringing back Catherine Oxenberg as Amanda? It was wonderful seeing the original Steven all those years later. Steven's return in the form of Al Corley makes me wonder what the total list would be for soaps that have brought back an original actor after the character's transformation into a recast was explained by plastic surgery? I can think of ATWT's Lily, OLTL's Max, DAYS' Phillip....

Wasn't it New Hampshire that he came in second? JK like MR are too bland for my taste to be president. Cruz just looks crooked period!…LOL You quoted me before I edited. I get those two confused on a map too (tee-hee!) Clearly I'm not an east coaster- The Politics Thread
I'm HRC all the way, but I think John Kasich is the most sane of the Republicans. I thought he might catch fire after New Hampshire. I'm amazed this SNL-skit-come-to-life with Trump is still going strong.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Caught up on Beverly Hills. Vanderpump had me giggling while preparing for her dinner. I wish I could remember what line she said that had me LOLing, but her wit and humor is still right on point. I thought I'd be rolling my eyes at Eileen bringing up the apology thing yet again, but it actually came up in conversation organically. I get Kathryn saying "Get Over It!" in her talking head, but I can't fault Eileen for calling out Lisa for her tendency to brush things under the rug when someone is simply asking for a straight-forward answer/apology. We know Lisa, we love Lisa, we know how she operates. I don't think Lisa is "wrong" about anything, there's just a difference in how people lay things to rest and move on. While it's all said and done for Lisa, the other ladies need official acknowledgement and direct confirmation. The "coming up" preview looks good! I was surprised we got one so late in the season, but perhaps Bravo could sense the viewers are O.D.ing on the whole Yolanda Illness thing and wanted to give us assurance that better things were still yet to come. Producers clearly could tell some changes were needed as they were filming. Here come the sloppy drunks! Yolanda, I can't even bother with that one anymore. Her actions will have far reaching consequences beyond the world of reality TV. It looks like they filmed footage after news broke of her separation with David? Whatever ho. No sympathy here. Edit: Looks like it'll be covered on the finale: http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/yolanda-foster-david-foster-divorce-real-housewives-beverly-hills-finale/ They included a huge misprint though by saying "fans love Yolanda."- Dynasty Discussion Thread
Dominique's story is so islanded and very half-assed. I'm a little fuzzy on what I watched this past summer, but there was virtually no reason for her to keep her baby daddy in the dark about her daughter's paternity. And speaking of the daughter, isn't she supposed to be around 18? She looked 13.- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Awesome! I absolutely love UnReal! Looking forward to seeing her on it.- Melrose Place
1. Exactly. Sam was the worst character ever created. Even Kyle's brother in Season 7 is more interesting. If she was supposed to be the replacement for Jo, they misfired horribly. 2. I think others mentioned there were some back 'n forth contract negotiations with Marcia Cross? I always thought it was ironic how by the time she became an "official" castmember in season 4, she had already outrun her usefulness. 3. Yeah, I couldn't believe how Allison was able to hit the bottle and Jake barely flinched. I liked how Allison eventually went back to D&D, for all of two seconds. 4. Yup. haha 5. It was. Once again, Matt in his own storyline island, with no cute boyfriend (although his boyfriends were always mental hotheads) or the adorable Mara Wilson to make him interesting. Small sendoff for poor Jane. Gone are the days of someone getting a promotion or whatnot, and everyone from the apartment complex coming over for an impromptu party, complete with balloons and cake. Season One was adorable... I like how Soap Opera Digest once described David Charvet's MP run.... "from the moment David Charvet joined Melrose Place, he looked like he didn't want to be there." So true.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Totally agree. She needed a little break for a reset. Now, she comes back in and it's surprisingly like a breath of fresh, familiar air (wait, that sounds like a flatulence reference. I digress...). Glad to see the frog admit she went too far, and she's right that there's a difference between light joking and just being cruel. Still, she's a frog. The Sheree/Bob dynamic is interesting. I can't decipher which one is more desperate to quit their day job at Target. Still, again, the break was necessary and I'm glad she's back. She's still a poser and faker than a $2, but that's why we love She By Sheree. Kim definitely kept her cool when the gay accusations were hurled her way, but you could tell she was pissed. Wasn't she threatening to quit the show around this time? Kandi and her cantankerous aunts... Meh, cute, but just something to film on camera for the sake of the show. Kenya, well, alls I gotta say is: her man is fine.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I loved Lydia. I felt she was true to herself and called people out in an honest, no-nonsense manner. I was actually bummed when she didn't return the folloawing season but I guess she realized the toxicity was taking over this show. I agree with NBA -- having Lydia back is to support the Vicki Redemption story. Since the other three (Heather, Tamra, Shannon) don't want to be part of that choir, they are bringing in the Lizzies, Lydias and possibly Gretchens and Jeanas so that Vicki does not seem completely ostracized and out of the loop. Count me in as one who'd love to see Lydia back. She provides a great supporting role and doesn't instigate or create faux drama, but just tells it like it is. This crew of ladies needs one of those, and I could see Lizzie and her teaming up. I'm all for this line-up.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
No, Rinna originally said someone else was discussing it and she engaged in the conversation and she felt guilty for engaging it in, and then said the word "engaged" about a half-dozen more times. - The Politics Thread
