  1. I love Theresa's insanity and quirks of the first 2 seasons, but you are right: she's coming off bad this season. She's definitely in the wrong, but her husband it the real issue here.
  2. Each season of any Real Housewives is generally $20 at Target. That's how I caught up on all things Jersey & Atlanta
  3. I heart Lisa. When my friends and I used to categorize ourselves as the housewives, hubby said I was the Lisa of the group. I took it as an extreme compliment
  4. I agree 100%. Cynthia is blah. Sheree has run her course. Kathy isn't very interesting. As for NYC, I've only watched this past season so maybe she's run her course too, but I like LuAnn. Besides, I'm certain she's got another sure-fire music hit in her!
  5. NeNe? Theresa? Where would the drama from New Jersey and Atlanta stem from? I think if any original castmember has nothing substantial left to add, it's Atlanta's Sheree. She's just a shallow, blindly self-entitled, stuck-up woman who doesn't like the threat of other pretty women in the same room as her. So over her.
  6. Those images are hilarious! Any others? Love my Jersey and Atlanta girls!
  7. No, no, they can squeeze out one more year with my girl NeNe. But I'm certain this will be her last year. Even though I just got on the Real Housewives bandwagon, I feel like alot of these franchises have peaked; they've had their Moldavian Massacre, and now they're going to start to dwindle and die out. I could be completely wrong though, so don't quote me

I love Lisa Ling doing in-depth documentaries, but she was never the right fit for The View. Good for her for leaving and finding her niche. Looking forward to Rosie's new talk show. Starr.... Starr oh Starr... Glad she's off The View, but she sure makes a good love-to-hate-her villainess. Loved seeing her in action on Celebrity Apprentice this past Spring, but boy was she a master manipulator And yes, The View overall is blah nowadays. Politics yada yada, Elizabitch's nails-on-a-chalkboard voice, yada yada, Sherri is dumb, Joy always rips a joke (I do like her, though), Whoopi is alright but nothing worth mentioning, and Barbara looks like a lollipop: great big head and a stick for a body.
  9. Does anyone else think that Albie is gay? If I remember correctly (I started getting into the show this season, so the specifics of what I originally watched early on is a little hazy), aren't Caroline's two sons and that other friend of theirs (who clearly is on the flamboyant side) all living together now? I wouldn't be surprised if Albie is gay (I guess Danielle's homophobic bodyguard was correct!) but they don't address it for the cameras. Just a guess. Could be wrong.
  10. They're coming to Chicago!!! Oh, if only NeNe were coming! But BH's Lisa is!!
  11. Peter briefly becomes kinda on the psychotic controlling side at one point towards the end of the 5th season when he thinks of Taylor as his dead wife (whose name escapes me at the moment). He makes Taylor dress up like a Stepford wife and wants her to be a lil' susie homemaker. Taylor and Michael of course egg it on by making him think he's losing his mind, but for awhile he does act like a creep again. We're currently re-watching Season 6; Part 2.... this show is all over the place now! I never really cared for the whole Christine story with Taylor, Kyle, Amanda, etc., and Michael's little stripper girlfriend reminds me of Arianne Zuker from DAYS.
  12. I'd love it if they brought back previous housewives like Lisa. If she's afraid to air her true dirty laundry, well oh well. Makes sense that she'd want to hide it. Speaking of Atlanta, Lisa looks similar to that outspoken sex "therapist" from Atlanta, Alekyss K. Tyler (look her up on YouTube! She's hilarious about vagina and penis power, LOL). Too bad she doesn't have any real money because I'd pay to see *her* on the Atlanta show! NeNe is *love* I love the way she delivers her words, the one-liners she makes, etc. She just cracks me up more than anything. But I'm guessing this season will be her last, just based upon what's already happened and the fact that's she seems to be branching out and getting involved in other things.
  13. Aw, I liked Lisa alot (I liked her husband even more! Yum, yum!!) but I had read somewhere that she declined to do a 3rd season when the Bravo producers wanted to make up fabrications (i.e. lies) in order to give her a more interesting story. Phaedra? I honestly don't remember an actual "story" for her, other than her talking about different booty types and the scene of her baby projectile pooping during a photo shoot. I like her, certainly more than Cynthia (yawn!) but don't remember anything significant. Guess I gotta rewatch season 3 when they repeat it!
  14. Yeah, that's my "concern" too. There's a real hatred/dislike of a lot of those broads, blondes vs. brunettes. To say they're going to try to be friends is just phony and they're only putting themselves in the same situations because the cameras are rolling. Meanwhile, it'll be interesting to see how Atlanta fares in season 4 since NeNe and Kim reportedly do not share ANY scenes together...
  15. Having not watched all of NYC and only going by what I saw of this season and then the reunions, it seems there are two ladies that are just dead weight: Cindy and Kelly. Kelly added absolutely nothing substantial to the episodes nor the reunion except to randomly yell out insults and call people weird. Cindy is just tag-along bitch who has an ax to grind with anyone just for the sake of having something to do. Get rid of those two. Ramona and Sonja just make me laugh. They can be superficial and ignorant, but at the same time so humorous and fun-loving. Alex is always dismissed, her comments are always belittled. She just seems to be the nerd that everyone makes fun of. I don't necessarily like her or root for her, but she's better than the 2 lumps on a log on the brunette couch. LuAnn, yes she is haughty and thinks of herself as the high authority, but there's something about her I like. Maybe it's because she reminds me of a dragqueen. That RuPaul-like song of hers is catchy! Jill. I liked her mostly while watching during the season, but she came off as a real sanctimonous see-you-next-tuesday on the reunion. I'm not surprised that the reunion lost viewers for the 2nd half. There was WAY too much talking over each other, sometimes 6 of the 7 going at once, nothing cohereant. It was worse than when The View ladies all go off at the same time. I do agree with you all that to go on another season with this same cast would be incredibly forced and not believable, even for reality TV.
  16. What are "DRS" and "RTPP"?
  17. Wow, Susan Sarandon playing a 17-year-old? She looks older than that. Definitely more mature looking than the lil teenyboppers we see onscreen today.
  18. I still definitely lobster-loved season 3 and loved season 4, but it was definitely plot, plot, plot! The fact that Alison moved to and from Hong Kong in a couple episodes, and all we got was a couple missed phone calls between her and Billy was ridiculous. Where was the going away party? Where's Matt, Rhonda, and the gang with their balloons? lol It's also funny, after re-watching it, how Amanda still felt like the "special guest star" in season two; not a part of the core Melrose gang. At least in my opinion, she was the outsider still worming her way in. And Grant Show looked his best in season two. Yum He aged by season 4. Daphne Zuniga aged about 10 years between seasons 1 and 2! Another jarring aspect of the show when you watch a whole season over the course of a couple days: the way they changed Sydney into suchy a looney cartoon character in season 4. She was off her rocker in season 2, I mean borderline-psycho when she took a knife to Michael's sofa, yet still a hooker with a heart of gold. But then in season 4, everything from her clothes (60's go-go girl?) to her voice (high-pitched and silly) changed and we could barely take her seriously as a vital romantic leading lady.
  19. Me and the boyfriend recently rewatched seasons one thru three, and did anyone else notice that in the very first couple episodes, they show *other* Melrose residents walking around in the background? As if there were supposed to be other Melrose residents living in the building complex but just weren't a part of the action. And yes, Rhonda was a bore, and once they started making MP into a continuing drama mid-season, her role was diminished to separate scenes from everyone else. It's also funny how in season one, whenever one person had anything significant happen in their life (job promotion, etc.) the whole gang would come over together with balloons and party favors, always the ones without a storyline coming over (Jane/Michael, Sandy, Rhonda, Matt) to celebrate. LOL I will say though that one thing I did like in seasons 1 and 2 that they lost by season 3 was character development and reflection. If something traumatic happened in their life (especially Alison), you would see them coping and struggling. By season 3, you could be stabbed, shot, mugged, move to Hong Kong and come back, etc. and brush it off like it's no big deal.
  20. It's funny how they changed Jo's role as a tough straight-talkin' New Yorker in season 1 to a wimpy push-over in season 2 and from then on. Maybe it was the short haircut that made her have an edge, 'cuz once it was grown out, she was a sap.
  21. Indeed. I have the 1991 SOD issue celebrating ATWT's 35th Anniversary and to say it's extensive would be an understatement. I can't remember how many pages were just of text about ATWT but I would guess the cover story was at least 10 pages.
  22. I remember in the late 90's (when Rauch was at the helm) GL would have background music playing like 95% of the time during scenes. Did the moments of silence diminish when he was at Y&R? (I haven't watched much lately)
  23. I don't watch anymore, but I'm pretty sure B&B still uses a lot of the same stuff they started with back in '87. Would love to have DAYS' music from the mid-90's, before it got all hokey-pokey Swamp Girl silly.
  24. I wish they'd establish a permanent residence for Doug & Julie in Salem instead of having them jet-setting all the time. I'd love for them to live at the Horton home and be the go-to couple.
  25. Look at her breasteses! No wonder they asked her to tape 'em down!
