Melrose Place
Yay for some Courtney love! I always enjoyed her. I had no problem with Melrose being the Alison Parker show in the first season. I wish they could've gotten her back for the series finale, even for a cameo. She, like Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett, Marcia Cross, etc. just seem to improve with age.

I like Lizzie, but you're right, she's not well-integrated with the rest of the cast. Shannon just fell right into the mix with Tamra, Vicki, and tension with Heather. She's a bit neurotic and overdramatic, but overall I like Shannon. I'm just not feeling her struggle. I *wish* I had millions of dollars and all the time in the world to make my mansion look like a Christmas snowglobe while my husband is out making $$$$$. Dry your tears with a few $100 dollar bills. I can't wait to see her and Tamra fall out. Tamra needs to be knocked down a few pegs by the other ladies. It's long past time for her turn. Yaaaaaaay!!!!! to Queen Lisa returning to Beverly Hills! It would not be worth watching without her. I still think ATL's Marlo is best served as a Friend. Just like NYC's LuAnn getting such rave reviews this season as a heavy Friend without the official apple, more emphasis on Marlo's personal life may not suit her well. I like her best as the shi.tstirrer who stirs the pot and exits left.

Melrose Place
That character on MP 2.0 being Jake's grown son would've made PERFECT sense, given the age and timing. Not that I care about the rewritten history of 2.0, but I still don't get who Michael's baby mama was supposed to be. Certainly not Taylor! Courtney Thorne-Smith ditching the show and popping up on Ally McBeal (a show that aired literally right after MP) the next year is symbolic of melodramatic serials becoming irrelevant in favor of cheeky, satirical comedy-dramas that eventually took over in the 2000's.

I actually forgot about the leg! I hope there's a buildup to it, with tension amongst Aviva vs. whomever, and not just a random leg pull at the finale.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They aired it an hour later than usual. Their lead-in was that pointless The People's Couch show. Still, there's no real hook to get people to watch. This season of NYC is a bunch of mini-plots that resolve themselves and everyone's hunky-dorey with each other again. Ramona and Kristen were already joking about throwing stuff at each other's faces on the Montana trip. Meanwhile, Aviva's fight du jour is with Kristen. I think she's gone through all 6 ladies, so it'll be back to Sonja or Ramona next. I think the season started out strong, and I was disappointed that more people weren't catching on to it. But as the episodes have progressed, it's lost its momentum. Although I'll give them credit for trying. The gossipy massage therapist is still the topic of debate next week? "A" for effort Here's to hoping an original castmember or 3 return for a blockbuster Season 7. And put it back on Mondays.- Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
Wow, Benny's miraculous recovery! Praise the Lord! "That's MY God!" Just Hannah's. Good for her. She prayed to the right one. How's Amanda's rapist holding up? Is he still running around the park with a knife fully lodged into his back?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Pec bounces are my weakness- Melrose Place
Thomas Calabro totally could've sold that.- Melrose Place
I don't consider the bombing as the Moldavian Massacre, because I agree the potential was there in season 4. I think they went off the deep end when Kimberly conveniently woke up one morning with a split personality. I didn't care much for the insane asylum story with Priscilla Presley.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
My problem with NYC is that there isn't a real consistent storyline throughout the season. Everyone has had issues with Aviva, and then two episodes later it's finished and she's invited back to events like nothing happened. Same with Ramona and Kristen. In the "first look" that aired yesterday for next week's episode, they're shopping together. With other ladies, there isn't a consistent story, and therefore the cliffhangers at the end don't always encourage viewers to "tune in next week!" Ooh, will Sonja continue to be a sloppy drunk and show her vag? We can answer that one without even watching. They need the originals back for "gapers" shock. People will want to see the originals catfighting again for another round.- Dynasty Discussion Thread
Ah yes, I must've blocked that part out.- Melrose Place
I was just going to say the same thing. She was an awesome spoiler for Billy/Allison in season 3, but even within the first couple episodes of season 4, Billy seemed annoyed by her childish nature and her attachment to her father. He looked like he was ready to bounce, not even 2 months into their marriage. They could've written her into a different storyline, the way they did for Lexi from season 6 to 7, but they made her so pathetic. It eventually became a lost cause.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ahahahahahah!- Dynasty Discussion Thread
Oh wow, I'd have thought the final season would be released in 2015. Side note: I never cared for Gordon Thomson/Adam Carrington. I didn't realize he was there til the end?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I wondered about the green screen for the talking heads, too. Lizzie's doesn't look real at all, the one with the beautiful waves crashing along the beach that you see in the window behind her.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'd have to agree about OC's Heather. She sure loves to school other people, like they're one of her kids. I was actually on Shannon's side during that awkward lunch. They were trying to make peace, but even as they're saying "cheers" to putting things in the past and getting to know one another, Heather is still coming across like she thinks she's done nothing wrong and she's doing Shannon a favor by forgiving her. I kinda love watching Vicki and Tamra thick as thieves together. They've done this show for so long, they just stir up trouble for the sake of the cameras. They know what they're doing; they know the game. Vicki picks on the new girl while Tamra is crass and puts her foot in her mouth. I can't imagine they'd ever have a true falling out. Are they besties off camera? Meh, debatable. But they're definitely besties at work, which is what this is for them. NYC: I have to agree that they need to do something drastic next season to really get things buzzing about the show again and get people watching. I think bringing back the originals (Jill, Alex, and/or Bethenny) would be perfect, even if it only lasted one epic season. I love the current crop of ladies, but there's really no *STAR* factor with any of the new ladies (Heather, Aviva, Carole, Kristen). The fact that low-key Carole is the one "breakout star" out of all of them is telling. I also think Ramona's actions are a little polarizing (similar to NeNe now on ATL). Ramona was always crazy, zany, and spoke without thinking first (Seasons 1-4), but this season and last she will overstep it and be extremely rude and tactless. I can admit that, and you know she's one of my favorites, but she needs to reel it back. I'm not sure who reviewed Season Six during the editing process and came out thinking Ramona was "the voice of reason" this year, but so far they are wrong. The only thing she's reasonable about is Sonja's financial problems. Sonja, yikes, what a mess. I like her friendship with LuAnn, it feels organic. It's just funny how LuAnn made a comment about how Sonja is a lot more fun when Ramona's not around, and then THAT happens at Saratoga. I don't think this is the last season of NYC. They can turn things around. I wouldn't be surprised if they got some of the original wives back, as that seems to be the direction they're going in (Dina/NJ, Sheree/ATL, Laurie/OC).- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think the Michelle Obama one is my favorite- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Rosie was in the half-hour preview, as was Kathy. Something about Rosie losing weight in one scene, and in another, a dig between Kathy and Teresa because Teresa is embarking on desserts. No sign of Chucky or Donkeyface though.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Kandi was lucky to have her spinoff air on Sunday nights, Bravo's biggest night and right off of ATL's best season ever. NeNe and Kim were both on Tuesday, right? (or was Kim eventually on Thursday?) Agreed about the Beverly Hags. They're all so bitter and spiteful. Without Lisa, Kyle would surely find another target (Brandi?) to play victim to. Wash, rinse, repeat. These ladies should have learned from the NYC overhaul of 2011. 100% hate is bad for the whole show.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I was nodding off during Kandi's spinoff. In all honesty, I was extremely tired, but I wasn't too impressed to stay awake. I agree that ATL is in a strong enough position to survive without NeNe, but Beverly Hills desperately needs their Queen Bee Lisa to stay afloat. Nobody wants to see Ellen Barkin Brandi cleaning up dog poop in an empty run-down house.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
For real. This one is in trouble. But to be honest, trouble seems to be brewing for over half of them at this point. Miami is gone. Nobody is watching NYC (sob!). BH is a hot mess with their future cast. NJ will be completely different and Teresa may be going to jail; we'll see how that one holds up come July. Only the ratings powerhouse Atlanta and the always-dependable OC seems stable, for the time being. Having both Joyce and Carlton axed is them basically saying they completely wasted our time last season. Yes, give Taylor some cameo comebacks, or more. Maybe Camille can be coaxed back and make nice-nice with Lisa, if she remains. Beverly Hills is imploding. P.S. Did nobody watch NYC on Tuesday? I still have to watch it. Hubby & I have opposite schedules so we gotta wait til we're both home- Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
My TiVo referred to Tuesday's episode as Season One, Episode Twentysomething. I guess my cable provider is not getting the right info? I checked Wikipedia and according to their listings, the episodes that aired January through March were part one of season two, and this current stretch of new shows is the second half of season two, and will end during the last week of July. Overall, that was a very ho-hum episode. And painfully slow, long drawn out scenes. But that's pretty much redundant to complain about at this point. I'm glad to see Peter Parros' character grow some balls and put his foot down regarding Veronica's actions towards Jeffrey. I'm guessing by the finale, he'll be getting down with the swirl and bumping uglies with the stiff, white campaign lady. BTW: Tuesday's premiere earned 3.1 million viewers.- Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
C'mon now, Jeffrey would be fun to break in...- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed. I think Joyce is a good supporting role housewife. Not one of the bigwigs like Lisa or Kyle, but a good "B" player like a Taylor or Kim (before she got her riveting storyline with Kingsley the dog). She's got a good head on her shoulders and can take a step back and examine the crazy in a civilized, well-spoken manner. - Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
