Ugh. I think it's safe to say she won't be interviewing any important political figures in her life anymore.
  2. It is a very different show versus season 3. The feel of it is different. It doesn't start out with summertime in the Hamptons like previous years. If you liked Ramona, LuAnn, and/or Sonja, there's plenty of them in season 5, along with newbies Heather, Carole, and Aviva. The season starts off with a whimper but ends with a bang. It's one of those where just as it's getting good, the season is over. Mixed reviews of it, but I liked it (save for the first handful of episodes that were ho-hum).
  3. I still think Kelly Bensimon was the most annoying, aggravating one to watch out of all of them. There's no way to have a sane argument with that one. She made no sense yet insisted she was right. Total tw*t.
  4. I always love the ones you hate. Haha... Diff'rent strokes... (although I'm not too big on Vicki overall) Season 3 of NYC is the one I could watch over & over. Best season of all housewives shows by far, IMO Finally, Alex isn't stuck on her own storyline island with Simon, vacationing in the off-season in speedos and trying on clothes and fawning over each other, like in season 2. I still have yet to see the reunion episode of season 1. Maybe Bravo will replay it in the upcoming weeks.
  5. I'm right there with ya, lol. Bypassing all this twitter/charity/Kenya debacle. I can't keep up, although the comments here going back 'n forth are hilarious
  6. I agree that Yolanda was talking trash Lisa, too. The guilty look on her face at the reunion said it all. Cat, another excellent review of this week's RHOBH. I can't decide which nickname for Rambles Richards is my favorite.
  7. I was just gonna say the same thing, lol. The dueling banners here are hilarious and witty. Well done Judging by the hair, that's a season 3 moment.
  8. It seems like last season, NeNe was happily there even though [she thought] she didn't have to be. This year, she knows she needs to be there because it's all she's got and it's killing her inside. I don't think I've ever seen a Housewife self-destruct as quickly and horribly as she is doing right now. Not just on camera with months-old footage, but the way she's behaving and reacting today. Even deleting her ATL Housewife status on her twitter? Passive-aggressive bull. I won't deny I loved NeNe seasons 1-3 and on Celebrity Apprentice. Sigh.... Guess I'll just stick with my faves Lisa Vanderpump and Ramona Singer. They were successes before the Housewives hoopla and they will continue to be long after. Hey Cheap! Did you spot "Benny"/Tyler Lepley from The Haves & the Have Nots at the bachelor auction charity?!
  9. What a pointless attack. From day one, Lisa and Ken have always shown that they *work* for their success. From the various clubs and restaurants here and in Europe, they've never given us the false impression that there was never a struggle to get to where they are at now.
  10. Somewhere out there, Omarosa is smiling like the cheshire cat.
  11. Hi guys, did ya miss me? (I'm pretending to be Carolyn Hinsey here, heehee) Bethenny and NeNe both need to remember that people fell in love with them when they were the Have Nots. Now that they're The Haves, they've kind of lost their identity and appeal of what viewers initially appreciated about them. But that's not even what's tarnishing their reputations. The fact that they've both acted "above it all" is what is killing them. According to Kathy Griffin, Bethenny was complaining about being in a room full of D-listers when she was at the Daytime Emmys last year. She needs to realize that she, too, is D-list. Yeah, she has more money than the average soap star, but her popularity is still D-list level. A Bravolebrity is not the same level as Meryl Streep. Bethenny's talk show is basically a Bravo show. Had she continued embracing her Housewives past, a half-hour Bravo talk show would've suited her just fine. Now, on to NYC..... This season looks SO. GOOD. Drama, drama, drama! Great alliances and even greater enemies. I, too, wish they had updated their opening with new glamour shots and a group shot. Right now, there's about 3 different hues being shown. Carole and Heather looked washed out; Sonja, Ramona, and Aviva have the correct warm glow to them, and new girl Kristen has a hue that's kind of in between. All together, very cut-and-paste. I like their fun taglines! The only one that makes me roll my eyes is Sonja. Nobody wants to see her bare flapjack booty. And c'mon, admit it: Y'all miss LuAnn and her usual holier-than-thou tagline.
  12. I agree completely. I can't defend NeNe's actions at all. She acknowledges no wrongdoing and deflects, deflects, deflects. To blame everything about that night on Kenya is ridiculous (and it's ridiculous that people like Phaedra and Cynthia are actually going along with it without batting an eye). Last night's episode just felt wrong and weird. Apollo is getting off too easy too. Very strange. It feels like the girls have all decided to band together and use Kenya as a scapegoat. This isn't the NeNe I fell in love with. At least before when she fought, she had a true passion about something she believed in.
  13. Sad but true about what we watch... watching authentically real tension and discord between the housewives is more satisfying for a viewer than watching overblown crap about nonsense stuff like voodoo curses, canoli recipes, and "The Countless." The stuff where you could tell there was genuine hatred or bitter jealousy (Jill vs. Bethenny, Danielle vs. all of Jersey, even triflin' hater Adrienne vs. Lisa) is way more interesting in a trainwreck fashion. That's one reason BH is so flat this year. I think that's why NYC will be good, because Aviva is genuinely looneytunes.
  14. Plus, she's not that interesting. Other than looking at her boobs fight for their lives in her tight dress du jour.
  15. 3.4 million? Wow, more & more tuning in for this train wreck! Veronica is truly messed up if she sets up her own son. If she wants to teach him a lesson for being gay, having him sent to prison isn't going to solve that problem... Yeah I'm also surprised that poor Benny is still confined to a coma. Surely he'll come out of it eventually, but isn't it usually completely hopeless of a recovery if someone is on life support? Candace barging in to the surgery room... I can't. A mess. LOL This is why I watch this crap. Bootleg Sally was bringing on the tears! Well done, Sally! If Jeffrey had any smarts in his profession he would have Amanda locked up ASAP. (P.S. Nice booty/body shot of him last week! Delish...)
  16. Just don't make that reference in front of Kyle.
  17. Perfect recap Cat. I loved the dinner table set up at Lisa's party. The colors, the centerpieces, the hanging crystals, everything. Another Yolanda-free event. On one hand, I wish she was in attendance for more events, but on the other hand I love that she doesn't let silly events for Real Housewives tapings get in the way of her real life. Kim not there again. Oops, a dig from Lisa about that, which surely means Kim will be crying about it at the reunion. "Boo hoo, nobody wants their tea leaves read by a psychic!" Poor Kyle and her awesome party ideas rejected. Brandi's book editor is my favorite kind of bitch.
  18. Carlton is the biggest hypocrite. Complaining about a 3/4ths nipple joke when she first met Kyle yet she has tits and vag all over the place at her outdoor party/orgy. She was looking for an excuse to fight. Comical when you think about it; I laughed at the sheer ridiculousness of the whole thing.
  19. YES!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Sonja's harmless, but she IS messy. I think what I notice most about her messiness is that she tries WAY too hard to make everything into a sexual innuendo or to perceive herself as this huge sexual being. I noticed this a lot while recently rewatching some of season 4. It was much cuter and natural in her first year (S3). When I first started watching NYC and only saw Season 4, I thought Alex's tagline of, "To a certain group of people in NY, status is everything," I thought she was speaking ironically, almost to poke fun at others. And then I saw the first two seasons and I was SHOCKED, haha, at their uppity wannabe ways. I think my favorite was when they were looking through the society pages and they saw themselves, and Alex is all nonchalant saying, "It's always nice to be photographed". I liked watching her because you could always tell that she LOVED whenever she was actually being included in something or finding herself in the middle of controversy (being the messenger for Bethenny to Jill, Ramona being upset with Jill in Morocco). Alex always entertained me in a "point-and-laugh" kinda way.
  20. I know it's been lamented before, but it bears repeating since we're discussing it again... I don't think NYC's Season 5 numbers would have dipped so drastically had they properly transitioned the new season. They didn't even bother to do a "last season..." recap at the start of the premiere episode. Granted, 57% of the previous season's cast was gone and therefore irrelevant, but they could've at least recapped the Ramona, LuAnn, Sonja stuff, and briefly touch upon some of the other people like Jill and Alex. And to pretend like Carole, Heather, and Aviva had always been there, without a proper intro to their lives, family, home, etc. just felt incomplete. The first handful of episodes were mostly uneventful too. I dunno. What's done is done. I understand Alex McCord's reasoning that she didn't want to return as a "Friend of" while still basically doing the same amount of work with less pay, but it definitely would've helped the show. I do think they're going to bounce back this season. There's anticipation for them to return, whereas before people seemed generally uninterested in them. It helps that Beverly Hills is a dud this year, and New Jersey's last season was the same old dreck. Housewives viewers are ready for something that feels more fresh, and NYC hit their stride with the new ladies towards the end of last season, so I have a feeling they're going to gel really well this year. Plus, you've now got Ramona and her real-life drama, and even the drama surrounding LuAnn being downgraded but still heavily featured... I think they'll end up doing better than Beverly Hills is currently doing. Will they hit Scary Island numbers? Eh, we'll see where the season takes us. They better promote the hell outta that leg....
  21. Yeah, Kelly's returning for one episode in a scene with LuAnn. I'm cool with that. It's nice that a former castmate will appear. But I'm guessing it won't be a big deal like when they promoted Dina's return to New Jersey. It'll be more like a Lisa Wu in the background or one of the many OC'ers. It's awkward how these ladies' real-life traumas help build momentum for a TV show. I think they should keep Ramona/Mario scenes in tact as originally planned. It makes it all the more interesting to watch to see the cracks in their relationship and to view the overall fakeness and the putting on of a show for the sake of the cameras.
  22. I would totally welcome Jill back. She's one of those that I love to hate, in spite of myself. And I like her family. Yeah, season 4 was very toxic and negative, but overall there was a chemistry between all the ladies. (But I'll NEVER wish for Kelly to return!)
  23. He's definitely gorgeous for an older fella. They both look hella good for their age! Pinot does wonders! I feel bad for her. It's ironic how a silly fortune teller story is actually correct. I wonder if the affair was already happening at the time season 4 was filming. Considering that Ramona thought it was weird/hypocritical for LuAnn to be pretending to be in a loving relationship with Alex while they were about to divorce, I'm thinking Ramona/Mario were still solid at that point. But, what do I know...
  24. Yeah. I felt that while watching a cliffhanger ending of one housewife allegedly putting a hex on the other's husband because he got a bad cold. Sigh. This, Kim's dog, Brandi's dog, and Kyle's insta-Jew story is making for one sucky season.
  25. "Crusty Celine" I don't know why I find that so funny, LOL! My biggest LMAO moment of last week's episode was hearing the doctor explain Benny's condition with 6th grade terminology: "He's on a breathing machine." Breathing machine!! We watched that over & over. The outside set of the Cryer mansion looks like a giant playhouse. The Crusty Celine / Bootleg Sally scene was telling. There's NO way Crusty would still be employed there with the way she talks and the fact that she's No. 4 unless she has something on them or there's some secret agreement.
