Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
What did OC's reunions get? I was all for Brianna coming for Brooks. Yeah, that comment telling her husband to beat her says it all.

Argh!!!! I heard NYC Season 1 had re-aired after I left the house so I couldn't TiVo it. I have yet to see that reunion. Isn't it in a rinky-dink location?

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
I can't wait for next week, from the previews. When Wyatt is like "don't you wanna sleep with me?" to Jeffrey. Total set-up. Love this crap. And when Jeffrey slipped and said "me" in regards to people who want to sleep with him... dead. What a hot mess.

Sheree just might be stupid enough to do it... as long as a paycheck is involved.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree. Seasons 1&2 were the only worthwhile seasons of New Jersey. I like re-watching them. It was mostly lighthearted fun with the shadow of Danielle's looney tunes paranoia, but it was just funny to watch. I own 1 & 2 on DVD (yay, Target!) but would never think of buying 3, 4, etc... Re: OC's Lydia. Count me in as a fan overall. She is nothing like Alexis. Alexis has no relevance. Lydia has inched her way in. She thinks for herself (and she can actually THINK) and really tells it like it is, kind of like as the audience's point of view. I grew to like her. And her mother. They'd be wise to keep her so she can duke it out with Heather and Gretchen/Douche Lord.

I still think of Jenny McCarthy as young. Guess it's just the 90's kid in me refusing to grow up. Does she still do fart jokes? Cuz that's what I think of when I see her: raunchy immaturity. That new promo shot doesn't inspire me. It's like looking at a later years cast of Dynasty, after their heyday was over and you're picking out who's still there and who's already left.

It was very soapy (in this day and age) that they had that intense conversation in a hallway at the courthouse. Clearly, they didn't want to build a new set just for that scene. Don't you just love how after ALL these years, with them all even going to the same church, that suddenly Benny's father wants to be a part of his life?

In regards to opening tag lines, didn't someone here once mention that Carole from NYC was hoping they'd use her alternate line, "I'm a writer. I leave the drama on the page" or something close to that. Don't know if she made a fuss of it, just that she had preferred that one instead.

At least their friendship wasn't destroyed over a comment in a cookbook saying you're as Italian as The Olive Garden. The producers really should've come up with something better to show the beginning to Caroline & Teresa's rift.

I'm on the side of those who think they should just let sleeping dogs lie. It'd be like if they brought Danielle back to Jersey and they rehashed what is and what isn't true about "the book" that was written about her. It seems ridiculous to badger Gretchen about something from years ago that she's already denied over and over. And Tupperware Face Vicki has NO room to talk, which is the point Gretchen makes that I understand. Tamra? Meh, she just wants gloating rights to get Gretchen to admit it on camera. We get it. Gretchen more than likely had an arrangement with her dying man that she can get her kitty pet by another man since he's already on the way out. Who cares? If the man and his family are cool with it and with her, who cares?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Bummer for Miami. How did OC do? I must admit I was surprisingly bored during parts of it (Lauri/Vicki, Tamra/Gretchen), but I like how Lydia attacked/defended herself against Heather. The thing is, Heather and Lydia islanded in their own argument kinda felt like "eh, who cares?" without one of the heavy hitters like Tamra, Gretchen or Vicki. Just my opinion. Yeah, Alexis can take a bow. This is her final show as a Housewife. Onto other things... nothing wrong with missing crazy Danielle, Eric! She was the crazy fun looney tunes paranoid kinda character you just have to watch. Sigh... once OC's reunion is over it's going to be slim pickin's til the next round of housewives premiere. No Miami for me, and I was disappointed to realize this past Sunday's New Jersey was only Episode 11! I'm kinda ready for this storyline arc to be over. What's for them to discuss now that the Gorga/Guidice/Wakile broods are supposedly on good terms, as are Teresa & Wacko Jacqo? Are they just going to be second-guessing each other's sincerity for the next 7 or 8 episodes?

I sure liked The City sets as their background instead of the small enclosed orange walls they use now. I watched Joy's last show. The sentiment was lacking. I think it's because it's only her and Barbara left as the originals (and Barbara is a bobble-head robot at this point). But I enjoyed seeing Meredith.

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
2 million viewers, whoo hoo! This has become our 1st priority of television viewing on Tuesday nights (move over, Dance Moms!) It's just so deliciously bad! I agree with frequentsoapfan, it's like Passions (actually I'll give TP credit, it's more engaging than Passions ever was) I was delightfully surprised by Gavin Houston (who was very, very forgettable as Remy on GL) during that scene with mama Veronica. The tears welling up in his eyes, the perfect soap opera tears streaming down one by one. That scene was awkward yet wonderful because I can see that kind of conversation happening in families in real life; that unspoken elephant in the room that nobody mentions but everyone knows what they're referring to. I'm surprised we didn't see a moment with Veronica where she realizes that her best friend's maid is the mother to the infamous Candace. Next episode, perhaps? P.S. I probably said this earlier, but Gavin Houston always gave me a gay vibe, whether he is or isn't in real life, his performances come off that way. Which is why it was funny how he played GL's Remy the same time that uber-effeminite Marty West was playing Shayne. But that's for a GL thread to discuss

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It's funny that everyone's commented on the ending music when they do their annual freeze frame/status updates, because I thought the same thing. It's almost like a satisfying yet bittersweet moment, and they ended this season at a great place. (Kinda reminds me of Season 3 finale of NYC, knowing it was Bethenny's last, and that the whole dynamic would change next year). I think this would be a fitting way for Alexis to bow out of the series. She nearly left last year as the outcast, yet she redeemed herself and is now on decent terms with everyone (forced? Of course. But it is still a nice wrap-up to her story). I don't see a reason for her return as a full-time housewife next season. Bucky Beaver I can see returning next season. She planted the seed for starting some true animosity against Gretchen & Slade. We'll see what develops at the reunion, but I can definitely see her sticking around (I like her mom too). Gretchen, oh how I used to like her the most when I watched The OC 'wives only part-time, but now I see how ridiculous she can be. And slimy Slade brings her down. But what really disturbs me about her is THAT FACE! Good grief, how old is she? She's still in her 30's right? Why on EARTH did she mess with her face? I understand her getting work initially (didn't she trim down her chin and nose?), but her more recent work is hideous! Granted, Gretchen has a point with some of the things she says about Vicki, but she needs to give it a rest and move on. I don't think Gretchen will be going anywhere. She'll be the Teresa or Danielle of OC next season. Heather, meh... take her or leave her. Tamra always targets one lady to hate on each season, so maybe next year is Heather's turn. Tamra is one of those that I like to hate. She's pretty despicable, but I enjoy watching her cuz she stirs up trouble like no other. I'm sure I'll watch her wedding special (especially since it's just a limited series) Vicki. That dress. Just no. OMG I had to look up that reference but I had a feeling that's exactly who you were talking about! LOL Never knew that muppet's name, only her face

She makes one helluva chicken salad though, one that could feed a third world country.

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
This is pure train wreck TV. It's so bad, once you get a lil interested in the story, you can't stop watching. Like someone else mentioned, there's lil gems thrown in that make you laugh your ass off and makes it worth watching (Bootleg Sally's by-the-balls comment and Jeffrey smelling Wyatt's shirt).

Well shoot. And there I thought Russell's suicide was the Housewives franchise's Moldavian Massacre. It appears Joe & Teresa Go To The Big House will be their unraveling. Hope there isn't a domino effect after Jersey goes... (Better enjoy this season while it lasts, Ramona and LuAnn!)

Melrose Place
Haha that's a cute edit! I wonder if someone else has edited a season 7 scene putting a drunk Alison slouched at the bar of Kyle's upstairs lounge. It is a shame they didn't bring back some of the original greats to usher out the series.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I like this turn of events on OC with everyone ganging up on Gretchen. It seems very scripted (last season, everyone was against Alexis... who'll be the target for next year's reunion?). Every lady on this show is a mess (okay, I'll give Bucky Beaver a pass due to being new and uninvolved). This is the first OC season that I've watched entirely. Excited to hear they're doing a 3 parter. Wonder how they'll stretch out the drama.

Melrose Place
I'd have to respectfully disagree about Megan. I thought she was one of the few saving graces of the latter half of season 5 and all of season 6. I didn't like her relationship with Coop, but I didn't care for Coop in general. I do agree though that many characters that used to have an edge were watered down in Season 7. I hated Amanda's "I give up on life" attitude in season 6 (just because she was preggars in real life, didn't mean they should alter Amanda's constant drive to succeed), but I thought she gained back some of her feistiness in season 7 by not telling Eve the whole truth about that fateful night as cheerleaders. I appreciated their return to basics by trimming down the cast, but half the stories were very uninspired. The whole Lexi/Ryan/Megan/Michael quadrangle was blah. Changing Kyle from a hero to an ass was a poor move. Also, I almost wished Michael and Jane had ended up together, as a nice way to bookend their final storyline. Lexi becoming queen bitch was delicious though. A total 180 from her persona in season 6, but Jamie Lunar pulled it off effortlessly.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Props to Bravo for pimping out Miami with a fantastic promo! It still doesn't beat Beverly Hills in my book, but it's nice to see they're putting faith into Miami and putting them on a Monday night (in part because no other franchise is ready to debut, much to my NYC-loving chagrin). I don't watch Miami but I know my hubby will be watching. I don't buy the "7 housewives is too many" excuse when Beverly Hills had 7 last season plus 2-3 supporting players (Camille, Faye, and Marissa) and it was a very successful season and easy to follow all their lives (it helped that people like Kim and Taylor had little to no storyline). NYC had 7 for two seasons as well. Poor Teresa... I agree with DaytimeFan's idea that it would be in their best interest of their children to lump all the blame on Juicy Joe and leave Teresa to raise the girls.

I agree, right when it was picking up a really good pace and steaming again, came the season finale! I have high hopes for season 6.
