  1. Oh Sh!t now that's a promo! The ATL is coming back hard. (Okay Aviva. Hobble up here with your NYC crew and dazzle us. They're saying it's a good season. I really hope they come back strong.) I hope Atlanta lives up to the hype. Right now I feel like the Housewives franchise as a whole is in the Season 5 era of Melrose Place; becoming totally irrelevant to pop culture by the end of the year. Eh, maybe I'll say Season 4. We'll see. (Melrose fans will get the reference) :-)
  2. Everything of Kimberly season 3 is pure gold. So deliciously wicked. Scary almost, when I first watched it.
  3. Exactly. There's a difference between a B story versus filler.
  4. I think this upcoming season of Atlanta and Beverly Hills will be telling. Despite its ho-hum season last year, Atlanta was still killing it in the ratings. But will they find success with the same cast this year? And Beverly Hills may be going down a dark path this season with Lisa/Brandi/Yolanda & the Richards sisters, plus 2 new housewives that may or may not be a hit. Depending on how these 2 jewels of the RH franchise fare this year will tell us if the fad is wearing out...
  5. Good. Much deserved. Although the promos showed a promising show. I guess people have caught on that nothing much actually happens.
  6. Now wouldn't you know it, the original family of RHONJ all hate each other too. Dina vs. Jacqueline too? I like the trade-off. Dina for Caroline & Jacqueline. If Dina becomes a full-fledged housewife with the opening hand-on-hip and everything, that'll be the first Housewife to leave and come back. I hope this happens.
  7. Count me in as a longtime fan and supporter of SNL too. I loved how this past summer they re-aired on Sunday nights some special retrospectives of SNL as each decade progressed, and how the cast would change through the years and outside influences (9/11, cultural events) that would affect the material they showed. It's always amazing how just when you think the show is dead and they cannot possibly recover, and then over time things catch on; the new cast gets their groove, they create new hilarious characters, and the show produces a new crop of Hollywood big names. I think Cecily Strong is hilarious and I'm sure she'll do fine as the new weekend co-host. She hasn't been on that long, but she's already had me laughing over some of her characters (like the Girl You Don't Want to Talk To At A Party, and the Moet & Chandon Champagne porn girl). My only gripe over who does the Weekend Update hosting is that it means they no longer appears in skits. I always enjoyed Seth Meyers in skits, but once he became Update host, you never saw him in skits again.
  8. I don't know the source or the validity, but on a link I read off twitter, it was giving some alleged "insider info" on what really went down behind the scenes this past season on Jersey. Apparently, it's a open secret that Al has been having an affair with some woman named Jill for the past 5-6 years and Caroline has known about it the past 3-4. Bravo was apparently dead set on getting this secret exposed this season and using it for storyline, but once Caroline caught wind, she had a temper tantrum and so they've heavily edited around what's all gone down between the ladies. Bravo pushed to get Penny on the show because she knew about this secret, but once things had to be reworked, they instead focused on Melissa's rumored (well, factual, according to this site) affair. But Bravo was stupid by focusing on who tried to expose the secret (Teresa? Penny? Kim D?) instead of focusing on the affair itself. Lots to read, and I don't want to reiterate all that I read because I don't want to get it wrong and accidentally spin it another way. Either way, it was an interesting read. And it sounded like Bravo edited the HELL out of this season, in terms of taking certain confrontations out and totally rearranging the timeline of events. I'm glad Caroline is leaving. Way too hypocritical and sanctimonious. She was entertaining for the most part for the first 3 seasons, but is indeed a "bitter ginger with a twist of lemonface" nowadays. Glad to hear they're finally revamping this series. I could honestly live without all four ladies, and keep Teresa around until she goes to jail. Re: RHONY.... I wonder if Bravo would think to bastardize the New York ladies by treating it like Miami and putting it on after a stronger Housewives. Couldn't you see New York coming on after Beverly Hills half-way into BH's new season?
  9. Lord have mercy... she still hides her pooping after 9 years of marriage? I can understand keeping it under wraps while they're dating, but c'mon... LOL What a thing to discuss in a book.
  10. I thought Tamra's OC wedding was a nice addition to the OC season and liked how they included all the current wives at the end. I think NeNe's premiere episode was ho-hum but not a total bore. The upcoming episodes look juicy and dramatic with all the bridesmaids and whatnot. I still feel her hair is hit or miss. I'm looking forward to Beverly Hills but I fear we're going to enter ugly territory. What's weird is that I still feel like we could get some mileage with the original ladies still in tact (with Taylor a friend and Adrienne a Faye-like instigator). No Camille. Sigh. That one new lady looks like she was left out on the barbecue too long. Yikes. Is it years of excessive tanning? Or is she just dark-skinned with TERRIBLE make-up? New Jersey... Sigh. Who CARES if Teresa wanted to "bring Melissa down"? Melissa did it first! When is someone going to call out this bitch on her hypocrisy? (Reunion!) what's good for the goose is good for the gander... Next week does look interesting though. Sigh... So NYC is a total no-show for all of 2013? I think they were last on in October 2012. 'Sigh, sigh, sigh.' Oops I sound like a defeated head writer being quoted by Soap Opera Digest
  11. Wow, very excited to have the 2 hot shows come back this November, just as they did at the start of last November! I'm more excited for Beverly Hills to see how the breakup between the Queen, Duchess, and Princess occurs. It's crazy how another season of both shows will air before NYC is brought back. Sigh...
  12. The tone-deaf raccoon and her hair-in-a-can hubby can bitch and moan all they want about being the victims. They were so thirsty to get on this show to "bring Teresa down." Thanks, Danielle! I've gone this far, I'll watch through the reunion, but I'm kinda hoping this is the final season of Jersey. Teresa will be gone, Melissa shouldn't continue to be rewarded, Kathy is time-filler, Jacqueline's a dirty mess, and I'm tired of seeing Caroline and her family promoting their dumb businesses on black T-shirts.
  13. Yeah, she's awful, but at least she's someone from the familiar days. We haven't seen any former housewives pop up on NYC ever. Now if only someone like Alex would swallow their pride and film a scene or two with Ramona and/or Sonja.
  14. Sheree and Jill Zarin, take note. THAT'S how an ex-housewife does an interview with Andy. Next up? Alex McCord just to see how well she fares.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if Andy was trying to see what kind of reaction her appearance would have. If NJ is to continue another season, they'll need another instigator/common enemy for everyone to obsess about. LOVED that Danielle confirmed all the desperation and determination Melissa had to get on the show and "bring down" Teresa. That said it all. (And Danielle has email after email that she forwarded to Bravo to prove it)
  16. Never thought I'd see Veronica end up being the breakout character creating all the juicy drama. I stand corrected on the sister equivalent of Passions' Tracey Ross (Eve).
  17. I'm ready for some cool weather and some hot drama from New York and Beverly Hills.
  18. I love to hate Faye and she always puts me in the mood to eat raisins whenever I see her.
  19. Really? People disliked Beverly Hills last year? I loved it, as always. I always find BH to be consistently entertaining, each & every episode. Yeah, Tamra's wedding special should be a half-hour long. But considering there's only 3 episodes total (right?), I'll watch it through. It's pretty telling though that 2 other OC wives were already featured. Tamra clearly can't carry a show on her own and needs her castmates to basically make this a Tamra-centric extention of OC Housewives. She's alright overall, but she comes off as being so insincere. Like all of her blunt statements reak of showboating for the sake of the cameras. And "the hottest housewife?" Not with those cottage cheese arms and back. Girlfriend looks great for her age, but c'mon.
  20. Instead of suing, why doesn't she just.... ask? They kept the knowledge of the money's existence a secret. Maybe once they realize she knows about it, they'd just cave in.
  21. I agree. I thought it was weird that we didn't see Peter Parros at all during Veronica's long, lengthy speech about her past miscarriages and whatnot. A real father would've stepped in and stopped his wife from basically saying to her own son that she wishes he was never born. Hell, I woulda smacked her around a lil bit. It's funny, the typical uppity ice queen that Veronica is. During her interactions with her family (like telling Jeffrey not to walk around looking disheveled; they have an image to maintain), I thought outloud, "has this woman ever farted in front of her husband?"
  22. Jersey is all about ostracizing one person. Who would they single out next if Teresa left but the same 4 hags remained?
  23. What year is this from? If it's from the mid-80's, I'm surprised there's only 1 original castmember left when it only debuted in '83. I always thought Loving's biggest problem was the title of the series itself. So uninspired and dull.
  24. Ramona has been tweeting that the girls trip they just took together for NYC was epic. Looking forward to these ladies returning! So ready for Jersey to wrap up. They're still doing another week at the Arizona retreat next week? Ugh... How fitting that Teresa and Melissa were the 2 housewives who couldn't get the horse to trust them during that exercise. They're the main cause of why they're all there, and they're getting the least out of these exercises.
  25. Thanks!! Nice numbers! Danielle Staub on WWHL?? LUV!!! She is my favorite kind of crazy. The true definition of train wreck television
