  1. I agree, there were no real friendships by the end, not the way Jo & Alison, Alison & Jane, Billy & Jake were during the golden era (Seasons 1-3, IMO). It was funny when they briefly made Jane & Amanda friends during Jane's blink-and-you-miss marriage to Michael, only to have Amanda revert to her true self shortly after. Dmarex, is that Ryan Phillippe in your avatar? :::swoon::: Season 6 isn't the type of season where I could pop it in and watch any ol' episode any time. 1 through 3, even the stand-alone episodes in the first half of season one, are ones I can get into, no matter where in the story they are at. I liked Vanessa Williams as Rhonda. It's a shame they could only find use for one "token" character on the show (i.e. Matt as "the gay one").
  2. Is that the "sex toy" they hinted at? Looks painful.
  3. Me too, Chic Cést La Vie! She's such a big part of the NYC brand. I wonder if Bravo would be open to airing an episode or 2 of NYC after Atlanta, particularly during the reunion episodes, to give viewers something to get interested in, knowing that ATL is winding down. Unfortunately, I don't think Bravo has confidence in NYC on Sundays and OC on Mondays to withhold the ratings momentum that ATL has gained. I wonder when the Jersey promos will begin. Here comes another semi-reboot! BH: This is one of those reunions where you're hoping for some sort of resolution or revelation, but nothing is actually happening. They easily could've condensed this into 2 parts (or less).
  4. Adrienne I think.
  5. I'm not sold on the new girl yet, but I'm sure I'll warm up to her once she becomes part of the drama, instead of just reacting to other people's tiffs and pretending like she cares. I love Carole. The only thing I will say is that her motive to be on a Real Housewives show is more apparent than anyone else. (I get it. It's not 2008 anymore, and they're not aspiring actors trying to get exposure on a reality show. 95% of all Housewives are trying to promote some shiny piece of crap to sell). She's selling books and good for her. But she doesn't seem like the type to usually sign up for this sort of thing. Again, I love her, and she's a great find and has become one of the favorites on this new NYC cast.
  6. I loved that reference! Carole clearly did her Housewives homework. Great dig. I hope Aviva has a painting party to put some color on those walls! Overall, a nice episode. Nothing too shocking or buzz-worthy, but I'm enjoying the build-up. Another 1.3 million viewers.
  7. I agree. It's a very fine line to cross. If you're saying that to someone you're not good pals with, it's just not going to go over well. And even then, there are remarks that should not be said, even if your intentions are completely innocent. My husband is black and we have friends of many different and mixed races, but I've known from experience that there are some things I as a white person just should not say, no matter who my partner is; I don't get a "free pass" to run my mouth.
  8. Hahahah Ain't that the truth.
  9. Re: WWHL. You could tell by her icy smile that Sheree was annoyed that they were taking so much time to talk to NeNe on the phone. (I can understand that. But what else do you ask Sheree? If her son is still sleeping on the floor?) She totally side-stepped a direct answer about the status of Chateau Sheree which was funny. NeNe was great on DWTS. This is the NeNe I love. The one that is fun, funny, and shows gratitude, not entitlement. She was nearly crying with joy after her first performance.
  10. Sorry to steal Eric's thunder, but I see Atlanta got 4.3 million this past Sunday, the WWHL with Kim & Sheree got 1.9 mil. Beverly Hills only got 1.8. I hope NYC is able to climb up to at least match BH's numbers.
  11. Ramona said last week on Bethenny's show that she and Alex still wish each other happy birthday, Merry Christmas, etc. and attended a fashion event together recently (or at least, they sat next to each other). I agree that Alex was needed for the Season 5 revamp, if only to have something of substance for LuAnn and for there to be legitimate tension. LuAnn vs. Ramona in the first couple episodes was indeed desperate. Ya just gotta LOL at that driveby bombshell, where LuAnn tells the 3 new girls that Ramona left her a threatening voicemail, and then LuAnn is like, "okay well bye!" I rewatched the Season One reunion of BH. Sigh... the good ol' days when this show was glamorous and blinged out on Beverly Hills extravagance.
  12. The BH reunion was disappointing. A lot of blah with Joyce, Brandi, Yolanda, and the biggest time-filler of 'em all, Sh*t-Stain Pillow Richards. I like that Andy recapped her 4 years on Housewives. I hope that's an indication of her coming full circle to heal herself and send her on her way, full of turtles, squirrels, prayers by the trashcan, and the inevitable mauling by an unruly dog. Brandi is a twat. Is that word censored here? I will say this: I think Joyce has potential for next year. But this year's arguments were petty and uninteresting. Although I believed her over Brandi during the discussion over hairflip-gate. I can't wait to hear the response to Lisa's question next week. Was Carlton there...?
  13. His attention to detail and basic common knowledge makes James E Reilly's work look like a masterpiece.
  14. I would think Bravo would love this kind of dedication and keep her around for one more season. Wasn't Jill universally hated after season 3 of NYC? I could be wrong, since I didn't jump on the bandwagon til they were already in season 4. She'll self-destruct even more and be too stupid to realize she shouldn't be airing her grievances on camera anymore. Bravo will air it, Brandi will regret it, and she'll bow out after season 5. That's my prediction.
  15. Yeah, I like how Hannah got arrested and no miranda rights were given, and she's sitting there in jail with no explanation. Hilarious. This show makes my night
  16. I love that the girls had to end up approaching Lisa, even though they are the supposed ones being "wronged." Lisa could've easily bounced without one word spoken. Imagine the hurt puppydog looks Kyle could've practiced! On the ATL front, I *love* that Kim & Sheree will be on together! Kim has noted that she doesn't care about any of her former castmates. Coincidentally, none of the castmates seem to care about Sheree.
  17. DaytimeFan, a brilliant post indeed. I loved your description of Kim's charred butt re: Ken & Lisa. And your points about Yolanda were spot on. I second the hope/request that you cover NYC! Brandi & Kenya on Celebrity Apprentice will make for FANTASTIC trainwreck TV! Battle of the D-List Divas! You know Kenya will bring it. She's like a baby Omarosa only more likeable. Brandi will get creamed. (P.S. I bet NeNe is secretly FUMING over this news!)
  18. I don't think Adrienne will ever be back. Aside from the no-show at the reunion, she brought about all the legal drama with the surrogate secret that she ended up blabbing to a magazine anyhow.
  19. According to my cable, the season finale was Season 1, Episode 26.
  20. That was the funniest thing ever!!! She plunged that knife as deep as it could go in his back and he reacted like a bee stung him! And then he proceeds to keep on running? I guess he's just gonna take care of that knife in his back when he gets home from his run? LOL Do they perform these scenes in one take like a daytime soap? I'd love to see the takes they didn't use for that stab scene.
  21. I missed LuAnn, even if she's mostly filler these days. She throws the brick and hides the hand and watches the damage play out.
  22. Ten bucks says that glass is made of plastic. No need for damage control. Aviva is the clear villain and Mario is the cheating spouse.
  23. He's alive? "Praise Jesus, Hosannah in the Highest! Blessed be his holy name!" That's my Hannah impression. Is that revealed in the finale? From what I've seen as of last week, they alluded to him being deceased, but it wasn't completely confirmed, but then TP said he was dead on the talk show. My bad
  24. Argh, in that case, it looks like Bravo may view New York as vital a franchise as Miami is....
