We all know it was only a matter of time before Chase took a bullet in the line. Time to speed that up. BLQ, well I think Amanda can do great work if she wants to but I'm not here for Brook Lynn as Agnes of God. So either she can change things up or she can go too.

I went back through some of that '78 stuff a year or two ago. Bobbie was insanely evil to Laura, just relentless. Sarah or Laura's Carlys at their most driven would've had a run for their money. I knew she was a vixen but I didn't know Bobbie got down like that. The best work I think I maybe ever have seen Jackie do though, I could only find once in a clip shown during one of the televised soap awards ceremonies, I think from the '90s - it was part of a larger full broadcast posted on YT. It was a clip from '78 or '79 when Scott finally rejects Bobbie in full and she completely loses her mind on him. She was absolutely white hot. I'll have to find it again someday.

It is so ridiculous that Sonny and Carly, etc. were comfy with Ava to begin with before this regime began. People whining that Ava is getting vilified in this run can miss me because a villain/antiheroine is what Ava is, period. I really like her scheming against Sonny and Carly, but outside of when she has the wool over his eyes (as she does now) neither of them should be able to share space with her for long.

It honestly looks like LW and others have been wearing shít from home more and more. It looks like civilian clothes. It has not been flattering on Laura onscreen, as she is still a beautiful woman. And don't get me started on Setton's standard wardrobe or her Women Talking bridal party. And anyone who knows OLTL as well as I did knows that Diane, Laura, occasional Guest Star Nora/Hillary B. Smith and now apparently Nina and Ava are sometimes swapping out old jackets that Viki used to wear. Viki!!

And is a decorated war hero. Any PR expert could've also played the angle of 'he took the rap for his ex,' which would incense Carly and cause drama lol. Ah well.

I've heard so much about those guys and other folks. I think maybe one went over to PP? Needleman? Not sure, maybe not. We don't always remember the crews these actors grow up with too.

I do think the "Drew becomes Drew Quartermaine and goes into politics as a gladhanding tycoon" angle was all PM (and I've heard it was, but who knows). It reminds me of some of the classic Ross Marler stories, as I said. And it really suits what Cameron is good at. It's obvious Nina would've become either his scheming First Lady/wife or his secret scandalous lover BTS, or both. I was all for this stuff. People were clowning the Drew Q thing because he's been in prison, but exactly how many felons, killers, bombers, etc. on soaps have gone on to high office? IIRC Scott became DA again after he robbed the entire town and left behind a videotape trolling them! In any event, Mulcahey allegedly quit instead of being fired and good for him.

The thing is that they've spent the past couple years humiliating Nina onscreen daily, having her constantly fúck up, cry and howl and beg for forgiveness from everyone in town as they excoriated her. Even as someone who doesn't care much for Nina generally, it was exhausting and tiresome. This appears to be something deliberate from the writers' room (and I suspect Korte) ever since MB asked to be paired with CW, some way to subvert it. Many of us have talked about it here in the past. Nina selling the hotel back was fine by me bc it never made much sense for her to have it, and she did it to clean the slate with Sonny and Carly. And Willow putting her down yet again got her in bed with Drew, and the relationship with her daughter is now on an upswing (and I'm sure will be down again soon with PM leaving). So that was all growth to me, versus the years of onscreen bullying.

Most of those fans were all about her and Sonny. Frankly I don't think Nina has ever been better or more interesting than the last few months. It wasn't about daily humiliation unlike the last few years, but growth.

I think they talked about it quite a bit early in PM's tenure in some refreshing mature scenes. But it still didn't make me want Chase around lol. They really are like young Mormons.

I think the most we got structurally (vs. individual scenes, etc.) of any PM vision was the Drew/Nina affair and wheeling/dealing in business, the town's change re: Sonny, the Valentin reveal re: Pikeman, the accountability towards Jason from his children/exes and Alexis returning to the law and soon meeting And possibly the poison hip saga, which I had more time for than some. I may be conveniently crediting him only with the things onscreen I liked. Who knows? But I did like them and I did like many standout scenes or quieter ones. There have been rumors claiming he was immediately relegated to doing dialogue and breakdowns vs. plot, and I'm not sure I buy that. I do think he was clearly also disempowered, if it's true he wanted to cut the cast and was stymied.

The show has treated Kristina as basically gay for a number of years. As for Ava and Valentin, they've always been bad news and I had no problem with the show treating them that way.

Very few anymore, except Willow and her kids (and Maxie's son with Nathan West, her deceased brother) IIRC. Obrecht, her aunt, is currently MIA. And yes, the character was created for Stafford and remains because FV doesn't want to let it go or change anything, it seems. I was extremely into Drew/Nina recently and everything going on there. It was an unexpected bright light in the morass of the show for me with two previously hopeless characters. With PM gone (because I highly suspect it was his work) I have no interest. Both Drew and Nina can go, as I previously have been wishing for for years. Along with maybe a dozen others.

Interesting to hear they allegedly scrapped an Aiden/Laura coming out scene for 'more Jason' as part of the BTS conflict. I actually do think they need more of Jason's story because it's the only main primary mover on the show for months, but that's a shame. There's tons of other crap to cut instead of that key SL. But I would happily kill Jason again.

Are they? I haven't seen any evidence of that. And I think the only reason his job is safe is because PM's is done. The way they frame that I think it has to be someone as big as Becky. GH Twitter hypes up CW (and even Maura) as much bigger to the show than they are. But it is definitely possible re: Maura. Not that I have not been an advocate for Ava going out in a blaze of glory with the right storyline. I just don't expect the new-new team's to be it lol.

I am not going to give you what you want here, so I think it's best we both move it along. I can stick to commenting on the thread at large and you can continue moderating with speed and equanimity. I am not throwing down any scoop to be clear, lol. It just seems obvious to me. Liz is barely on, Korte has no use for her vs. Carly, the show has tried multiple times to fire Becky over almost 20 years and the only person in the creative mix at present who had any use for the character or actress (back in '99, when he first wrote on Liason among other prior stories) just either quit or got fired.
