  1. PAS or Jordi V. both would have been a fine Jagger, even if Target Keith Urban is doing a solid job with these scripts.
  2. I don't think they tried with her and TK at all IMO. I remember watching for it and they had minimal scenes. They had serious chemistry on LOV/TC despite his scuzzy character. But by the time LW came in the show had already successfully marginalized TK/Lorenzo for almost two years following Tamara and Ted dangerously shaking up the show in late '03/early '04. They were taking no chances going back there, and didn't. It was easy to fob TK off on Skye's obsessively devoted fanbase (another character Guza didn't care about) or side player Lois and leave him there til it was time to die. It's too bad they didn't make Roger Steve Webber to begin with. That might have worked with Carly twice. But I don't even want to think about RH on the show anymore. To me Sean Kanan remains the biggest missed opportunity and I'd still have him back today, with any Carly.
  3. It's just not that serious - Killers and Poor Things are both great movies and did well. Emma Stone's career will be fine.
  4. I don't think LW and Steve have any romantic chemistry tbh. (Platonic chemistry they have in spades.) But I'm equally bored with Jason and Liz, and another round of Jasam makes me ponder self-harm. I frankly don't think Jason needs to be with anyone.

Ncuti was among the returning Kens in Ryan Gosling's Oscar number last night.
  6. Llanview's own Scott Evans (OLTL) appeared again with his Barbie co-stars in Ryan Gosling's immortal musical number during last night's Oscars.
  7. Not Vivica looking like Phylicia Rashad in that thumbnail.
  8. I can see VR doing The Gates. I don't think she will ever be back at Y&R/Sony given the long-standing status quo, which is a real shame. But yes, as others have said, if they want a good lead-in for the show and are reinvesting in soap opera then they'll still need to flip Y&R in a big way, and that means finally, truly materially embracing the Black audience they have shunned or fobbed off with lip service for almost 20 years. If it was me and Dru is off the table (and you can't at least have her do a ghost/vision appearance for the kids) it would start with just bringing back Mishael Morgan's Hillary. That's the closest to Dru you're gonna get without all the BTS drama that keeps Dru gone.
  9. It was a shameless ripoff of FV/RC's own Ford brothers debacle at OLTL a couple years before too. Trashy reality show, hunky reality show producer, secret family, etc. I couldn't stand anyone involved in that. But people acted like LM was giving these Emmy-caliber performances because once Trey mercifully died she was running around town caterwauling about Sonny for a couple weeks. I think Wagger has benefitted a great deal from some great scripts ever since PM/EK's hybrid work began airing. (Seriously, watch it!) But I still have no interest in him remaining long-term or being paired with anyone. Maybe a fling with someone and then out, I don't know.
  10. A segment of people really took up for her on other forums and social media at the time, which I found ridiculous. She was terrible. I have zero interest in anything T.J. and Molly do at this point.
  11. I'm happy for Emma Stone who did great work, but I do think Lily Gladstone was robbed.
  12. I could not stand her. And people got so mad when you said she was bad.
  13. Not you with your relentless Oppenheimer security clearance hearing-coded posts! I do think you're right that Lexi should be allowed to age however she likes and certain material (specifically Dante's bedside) would hit differently for me with her there. That being said I think Mansi is doing a very solid job with a boring storyline, and I'm not just referring to the surrogacy lol. Her romance with this elevated dayplayer only works because the actors sell it, and I'm not sure Lexi could. I remember that mess with Ashley Jones. I think both executive mismanagement and disinterest re: the Davis girls for over a decade and certain elements of LA's performance had left the character in a rut, and now it feels somewhat new again. Would I blink if Lexi came back? Not really, I expect it eventually. But would I expect her to get any story, or really throw me for a loop onscreen and grab me again? Nope. So it's a vicious cycle.
  14. The NYT agonistas - the paper spends a day struggling to admit Katie Britt told a lie.
  15. Prey, with Debra Messing and Roger Howarth.
  16. All that matters.
  17. The drama over The Holdovers does not seem very well-founded to me. What's baffling is that an established screenwriter (Paddington, Luca) would go to the mat over this when it doesn't look super credible from what I've seen. All I care about is that Anatomy, Killers and Barbie get some proper recognition, particularly Lily Gladstone. Barbie was as much of a pop New Wave shock to the system IMO as Bonnie & Clyde. Everything else I saw (and I saw most things this year, for once with the exception of Maestro, Rustin, Past Lives and May December, which I will get to post-Oscars) was quite good but are all secondary to me. I do aim to rewatch Oppenheimer today beforehand - it was a bit too overwhelming an experience the first time albeit good, but I am not in the cult of Nolan. So I need to give it a second look. I'm also finally getting to Zone of Interest today.
  18. Lexi never got much to work with in the last decade so I had long resigned myself to her never getting major story. Mansi has done a good job with a pretty poor storyline and now I think there might be an opportunity for even more bigger and better, so I am open to her continuing (though I would be just as open to Lexi back and getting better and bigger material). If it doesn't go anywhere interesting, Kristina can take a break. Molly and T.J. I also gave up on ages ago, and none of the recasts work. So I'd write them out and possibly bring back Molly (whoever plays her) at some far-off future date, or not.
  19. A wild statement considering where we were 10+ years ago, but I agree today.
  20. Gina Tognoni was playing teens when Lulu was born onscreen. She has also been up for Carly before, who is a big sister figure to Lulu. Not going to happen. IMO Marci Miller is the optimum choice as many have said, but it's rare that a soap acts directly on a fan casting choice. It happens, but not often.
  21. Brittany Underwood (Langston, OLTL) apparently guested on Kristen Alderson's twitch stream last night.
  22. It can't possibly be as silly as the Todd/Tea/Shawn Christian island story on OLTL, where Howarth finds old grenades and talks to a hermit crab for weeks. They were just padding time over the summer on that remote while he was off doing Dawson's Creek IIRC.
  23. Kate Mansi was particularly good in her solo scene talking with her brother in his room. (She did call him that while talking to him, and I keep forgetting.) Not the same as Lexi Ainsworth doing it, but still.
